I have a lot of anxiety and my dentist Dr Honaker in the heights makes my dental experiences less anxiety provoking, he is kind and lets me know everything that is going to be done. Who would've thought that getting dental x-rays would be so painful? The assistant told me that I needed 18 x-rays. She proceeded to shove the large x-ray brackets into my mouth over and over. I asked her to not force/shove them into my mouth. I asked if there was a smaller version. She said yes, but did not offer to use it. Again, I asked her not to shove the brackets into my mouth. She just kept pushing in the large w-ray bracket and scraped the roof of my mouth. Through it all, she was talking really loud. I asked her to lower her voice. After telling her that I was on the verge of leaving due to these being the most painful x-rays that I've ever had done, she had another person (who happened to be a 100% more caring and careful) come in and complete the x-rays. I wonder if I would have needed so many x-rays if I didn't have insurance. read more

Awful service, the assistant was discussing my X-rays with another assistant who was not working on my case and they were snickering and whispering. Never have I been made to feel so awful!, and they lied about what treatment I needed done and which tooth it was that needed treatment. If I had not gotten a second opinion I would have spent $1390 for a root canal on a tooth that doesn't even have a cavity! So so disappointed. read more

I don't often write reviews but I would like to give positive kudos to the Brewer dental in the Heights staff. From the instant I open the door walking into the office, I was acknowledged with a smile. I have to come out and say that I suffer from PTSD from previous dentists. I often had anxiety. The hygienist brought me back and did her exam. She explained a bunch of numbers calling to her colleague that she was teaching me about my gums. She called and asked for help for my mouthpiece because it needed to be buffed up. Dr. Matt Schultz offered immediately!! (A doctor responded immediately! How often does that happen? I've been a nurse for 38 years.) and came and fixed it beautifully. He quickly did my exam. He is very personable and kind. Since going to him in the last eight months I don't fear going to the dentist anymore. He's done awesome work! (Replaced a cap) and the dental hygienist (Kylee) did an amazing job cleaning my teeth. (Gentle). She even took me out and walked me to the desk for my next appointment where she wished me a good day. Little things mean a lot!!!
