I avoided writing this review for a few months, but this is the culmination of a number of disappointments. I just want to preface by saying, there are many other body shops available to you in this city. I took my car here upon recommendation from my property manager. I do not know why I took her word for it alone, beyond the shop being conveniently located. I have no idea why. I usually would do more research. Initially, I had no concerns. This changed when I returned to the shop to retrieve my GPS phone mount. I noticed they were storing their keys on the top of my car, just bare metal keys on my exposed paint job. I am not emotionally attached to my car, nor is it in perfect condition, but this is sloppy and disrespectful. I'd later learn from the next body shop I visited for work, Desoto Collision Center, that they place the keys on the plastic shield near the wipers. What a concept...how long has Brewer's been in business?...these are their practices. Speaking of my plastic shield, they returned the car to me with a piece of the trim missing. I contacted them about this and they implied they'd look for it. I was never called back. They just left it to me I guess. I am reluctant to go up there because I will get mad. I know these are arrogant, disrespectful people I'm dealing with. If this wasn't enough, I've recently noticed fasteners missing on my bumper, where the primary work was done. My bumper now occasionally separates from where it's meant to clip into place. These repairs cost about $2600. This was the end result. Brewer's has yet to contact me about the bumper. I don't expect them to either. I feel foolish for going to them based on word of mouth alone. Use your critical thinking skills. I'm going to probably visit Desoto Collision Center to see if they will address the loose bumper for a modest amount. I don't expect Brewer's to do anything here. This company has a good reputation but after my brief experience with them suggests this not completely true. I have some body damage to one side of my vehicle. I was trying to be reasonable with my insurance so I volunteered to get an estimate. A colleague at work recommended them so I went this afternoon. I explained to the woman what I was trying to do and she said it would cost $250.00 for an estimate and I would get it back if they do the work. (Why would I want to get an estimate if I wasn't going to have them do the work? I want the damage fixed, not to go shopping). She then said they would be "out until July." I don't quite know what that means but I'm certain they don't want my business. She was very patronizing and not at all helpful. I'm so appreciative of Mr. Brewer and his staff. After being involved in a hit and run over the weekend, the door paneling to my car was pressed against my tire, causing scraping against it. Living in another area, I was terrified I wouldn't be able to get home. He was able to work some things out, and get the paneling pulled from the tire THAT DAY, so I would be able to get home. I tried calling a couple body shops and no one could help, even thought it was a pretty simple fix (Underside skirt came loose). I stopped by Brewer's and Curtis helped me out, I was out with the problem fixed in less than 10 minutes. All I can say is these folks are excellent at what they do! My husband and I have been taking our vehicles to Brewer's Body Shop for at least 10 years now. During this time, we've had a few accidents and fender benders and this body shop always does a professional and quality job. Just got my car back yesterday and almost didn't recognize it. It looked like it had just come off the showroom floor. You see, it had been side swiped a few weeks earlier with damages to the driver door and the side mirror knock off. These folks not only did an excellent job with the repairs but delivered my car to my home. I always recieve great service and even superior customer service from the front office assistant, Tracy. It's not usual to see a review of anything other than a restaurant or bar on Yelp Memphis but I felt obligated to write about the positive experience I had at Brewer's. They fixed the bumper on my car very quickly and did a very nice job. I was surprised what a good job they were able to do blending the paint and they even cleaned and detailed the car before pick-up. Their customer service is just as good as they offered to set up a rental and give me a ride home if needed. It was insurance work so I wasn't concerned with the price but after seeing the total, I can also say that their rates would be competitive with anyone in the area. I have never been so demeaned nor mistreated before in my life until I turned my car in to get it fixed here. When I first arrived, the front desk assistant checked my car for me to see what could be wrong with it and she lied about my car's internal temperature to scare me and told me that my car was not in driving condition even though I had been driving it for the past month while my car's front had been caved in by a rear-ended accident. Therefore I left my car there overnight and had to call them the next day to see what their analysis was. They gave me an estimate that was $2,000 under what I ended up having to pay. When I received my car after it was "fixed," my AC was broken. Though my AC was not broken prior to fixing it. So I turned in my car once again to this terrible auto shop hoping that they would fix what they had broken, but instead they told me they found a busted tube connected to the AC which and gave me mixed messages. The assistant told me they would exempt the labor cost and still charge me the pipe but Mr. Brewer himself said that he would charge me for both. I told him I was told a different estimate so he then proceeded to tell me that labor would be free. They did not tell me the price of this tube ($375) before installing it into my car. I received a phone call from them saying that it was installed despite the fact that they did not receive my permission. I was discussing this on the phone with Mr. Brewer and he is so short-tempered that he got so angry and hung up on me. My entire experience at this body shop has always been negative and I would never recommend any other person to be treated as horribly as I was treated. read more

My husband and I have needed a body shop four times in the last eight or nine years, On the recommendation of a friend we used Brewer's the first time and thereafter. They made our cars look brand new, event detailing the interior in one instance. When both our cars were side-swiped on the street and rendered undrivable Brewer's went the extra mile to get them ready in as little time as possible. The staff are friendly and helpful and the premises is clean and comfortable and easy to reach. They don't cut corners so their estimate will not be the lowest but you will be pleased with the outcome every time. read more

First of all, I'm not one to give reviews as I like to give any business the benefit of the doubt... However, If I could give negative 10 stars for this place I would. I agree with the only negative review on here - the positives are beyond off. Not sure if those positive reviews are family and friends, but not only was I a real customer, I was a customer that was wronged. Not only does this place have an extremely inaccurate timeline of completion, their quality of body work is terrible, not to mention the staff's inability to deal with an upset customer. Customer service is also not their best quality... I was in a car accident on 12/19/17. Per the shop and insurance it was a borderline total. Brewer's body shop assured me that my car could and would be repaired, and done right. Well, it's 2/18/18 - my car is still not repaired. We've had to take my car back twice to Brewer's for incomplete and poor quality of the body work, also mechanical issues that were not there before my car accident and were brought to their attention the first time we took it back. Those mechanical issues were never addressed or assessed by the shop, which is why it is now at the dealership - thank god. The body work is still not up to par - but I now just want my car back that will be safe to drive again. Overall, if you need a body shop that you can trust - I'd look elsewhere. read more

We were traveling across the country when we started having car trouble, there was an odd rattling noise coming from the bumper. Being far from home we took to google to find an auto body shop and found Brewer's. They were great! They discovered that the problem was a missing bolt near the tire. It would start to rattle on the highway. They fixed us up in few minutes and had us on our way, no charge! Plus a great bbq recommendation! My 2006 white Toyota Corolla's paint had lost its gloss. I went to Brewer's and Mr. Brewer himself came out to inspect my car. He said a complete new paint job would cost more than the car is now worth, but recommended a buff and polish at a rate I could afford. The hood had a lot of rock chips, so they had to repaint that and also the fenders so the new paint would blend better with the old paint, and that was all right with me. I gave my car to them on a Tuesday and got it back on a Thursday and it looks like a brand new car. It gleams like a pearl! Brewer's Body Shop is the best! read more

If I could give them zero stars, I would. I have never been so disrespected, wronged, and lied to in my entire life. I got into a minor car accident late 2017 and took my car in to Brewer's Body Shop 2 months after it had happened. The front desk assistant looked over the damage and told me to immediately stop driving and lied to me about the driving condition of my car. As soon as she realized that I did not know much about cars, she took advantage of that fact and claimed that my car's internal heat was too hot. I had soon come to realize that there was nothing wrong with it. She gave me an estimate that was approximately $2000 under than what I ended up paying for before I signed the papers for them to work on my car. Not only did they rip me off, but they charged me for 2 separate jobs that they did NOT perform properly or at all. They charged me for a paint job that my car had never received (~$300) and they also installed a "new," faulty AC unit. I had to take my car back in THREE TIMES. The first time, they did the paint job that they had charged me for. The second time, my AC was not working so I took it in and they had claimed to have fixed it, but it still did not work. Mind you, my AC unit was 100% working before I brought it into the shop for repairs. In short, they had broken my AC unit during the repairs, which caused me to come in a third time to fix it. They had found a busted AC hose that was "supposedly" not noticed before. I argued with Mr. Brewer and he sincerely does NOT know how to handle customers. He had quite a short temper and abruptly hung up on me even though his crew had failed to fix my car three times. I agree with Jessica B, their customer service is severely lacking. Overall, I would never recommend this shop. In fact, I wish they never existed for those who plan on coming here in the future. It is not worth the negativity, waste of time, and sloppy jobs that they constantly perform without fail. From my understanding, they do not care about quality. They only care about making money in exchange for minimal labor! Once again, never come here to repair your car. I can guarantee you that they will try their best to take advantage of you by overcharging and lying to you. read more
