I finally took my car in for a LOT of regular maintenance work that i had ignored for ... years (typical stuff like tune up, fluids, belts, spark plugs, etc). After the initial fix, I still had some follow up items because things were not quite perfect with my ride. The Hub saw me right away, got things tweaked perfectly, and now my car drives just like the day I bought it off the acura lot. I really appreciate all of the great and hard work hub automotive does! The mechanic I usually take my cars to is almost to Bartlett and I wanted to try something close and in the CY neighborhood. I came in looking for a convenient, quick change on my brakes. I knew that was the problem. I also knew the car I was bringing was an older "clunker" that I did not want to invest much into for repairs. Upon arrival, I attempted to explain this to the receptionist. She didn't even make contact with me, but instead just told me that the mechanic would take care of things. I should have insisted on speaking to someone but I wanted to trust the process. When I received the quote, I knew it was way off. I reached out to my mechanic (who also has Yelp reviews of 4.6+ as well) and asked if it sounded strange. He said he could beat it by $400, and probably more. I picked up my car (which still cost me a $125 diagnostic service fee) and took it to my other mechanic who did the work for $800 less. I'm sure The Hub stands by their work and their quote, but that is just so, so far off and a bit toned def to this customer's needs. All your receptionist had to do was listen to me and consider my request, but instead, you lost a potential new customer from the CY neighborhood. I hate that because I want to support local joints. From what other reviews say, this is a highly reputable place to take your vehicles -- so I can't argue its quality. The mechanic, also the owner, seems to have a good handle on easy repairs and maintenance but is out of his league when it comes to anything more complex. In fact, he's pretty incompetent. Too many times he misdiagnosed problems with my car (always at my expense) then aggressively pressured to have unneeded issues fixed sooner than later. The repairs at this place are very expensive. I submitted a request on yelp that said my 2013 Chevy Impala was overheating and I wanted to replace the radiator. I stated that I had already replaced the water pump, thermostat and coolant sensor. Shannon contacted me from the Hub Automotive. I requested a quote for replacing the radiator. Instead of providing me with a quote, Shannon requested that they do a diagnostic to see if they could find an issue instead of replacing the radiator first. I agreed to Shannon's request. The diagnostic fee is $138. Long story short, they did the diagnostic and didn't find anything wrong with my vehicle. I asked them to go ahead and replace the radiator because it had a small leak. The cost was $929 to replace the radiator. I agreed to have the service done. I called back about 10 minutes later and I asked them to replace the upper and lower hose on the radiator also. Shannon said it would be an additional $450 to replace the upper and lower radiator hose. This was much more than I expected so I decided not to do it. I found a mobile mechanic who came out and replaced my radiator and hoses for $500. The car rides good now without any issues. If you go here, be sure to get the quote first. The repair charges are expensive so you need to know before you drop off your car. If I had received the quote that I requested, I would not have taken my car to Hub Automotive. read more

My gear shift cable had broken and the the hub automotive were very fast to respond. they were unable to inspect the vehicle until tor the next two days, but they towed the vehicle to the shop within the hour. I do most of the work on my car myself. I had done a big brake job and suspected air in my system, I bled the brakes but no luck. Turns out I bled them in the wrong order and the hub was able to get my newly installed brakes working the way they were supposed to. Pricing was pretty fair but be prepared for your car to be there most of the day. read more

Can't say enough about this establishment! They are the only ones who I will let work on my Jeep besides myself. A dealership wanted to sell me over 3000 dollars worth of a wiring harness and PCM. One day with the hub mechanics and they realized it wasn't either of those problems fixing it for a fraction of the cost and labor. They worked with me to find the part for an older model Jeep. I had high hopes after reading reviews on this an other sites. Went by and spoke to the owners who seemed very nice, and made plans to bring the car in for them to inspect the work needing to be done. Dropped the car of at 8:00 a.m. and called about 2:30 p.m. to see if they had gotten to it. I was informed that they had not yet gotten a chance as they were having some problems getting a truck off the rack, but they would try and get to it ASAP. Got a call about 4:45 p.m. saying they wouldn't be able to get to the car today, but maybe next week. Went to get the car and was met with excuses of misunderstanding, shop problems, and they were having a bad day. As I said, I had high hopes but was extremely disappointed. Brought our car here to get a second opinion on a strange diagnosis for a grinding noise from Autonation Ford. Within the same day (Autonation Ford took a week to give us the wrong diagnosis) the Hub had correctly identified the problem, called me with a price and options, and then fixed a serious issue with my car. My fiance literally just got his chevy impala from them today. They told him it was a starter last ​week so we got the car back today and put a br​and new starter on the car. Well guess what hub automotive!! That wasn't it. If you could not tell what the problem was just say that!!! I knew it was so​me b.s. when u charged him for the diagnostics then turned around and said that it was the starter. Then turned around and said you gotta check other stuff. You put a new battery in. And he​ was charged 300 bucks for that!! All you had to say was you couldn't figure it out!!! BC guess what? You lied!!!. We will find someone that knows what they are doing​​​​​. My daughter attends college in Memphis and I visited recently. One of the things on our To Do list was having her car checked out. It would not go over 30 mph. Someone recommended Hubs. They were so patient friendly and helpful! Her catalytic converter needed replacement (very expensivel) and Hubs offered team it out as an alternative to replacing! I really love this shop. They are nice, good prices, and won't tell you to do unnecessary repairs if you don't need them. Although i did have a couple issues. I called a few days ahead to check when they'll have time to take my car, Jennifer recommended I bring the car as early as I can, at 8am on Friday to get any repairs done or at least looked at in a timely manner. I told her I have to work but do they have a shuttle service to take me to and from work? She said yes. So I get there at 815am. And I gave a young woman my key and was filling out paperwork, I told her that I need to be shuttled to work by 9am. She told me sorry, she was the only one there and could not take me to work. I was pretty upset because I could have made prior arrangements to get a ride. After calling around and waking some people up, I was able to find a ride, I got to work 20 min late, my job is only 10 min away. The other part was I wasn't told at the time that they closed early on Fridays so I had to quickly find another ride there for 2pm, she called me at almost 1pm. It wasn't enough to dock a star, although I really should, but based on their integrity on how they are with the mechanic part, I won't hold it against them this time. I didn't get anything for my inconveniences, I'm not looking to, just saying. Still would recommend, just make sure u have a ride if u need to go to work on time. read more

This neighborhood, family-owned business is SO worth supporting. We took our truck there based on a recommendation from someone who works in the auto industry and are so glad we did. They're fast, honest and communicative. We'd been having issues with our AC and were told by one shop that we needed to replace the entire system, a $1,500 job. We took it to Hub and they said it was one faulty part that was causing a freon leak. It was fixed in two days and a couple hundred bucks and has been working for six months now.
