But this weekend we wanted to try a new place to eat and heard a rumor that the fish fry here was pretty good. The restaurant space is pretty spare, but hey, it's a bowling alley. The bar is big and you can eat at the bar. We sat at a table and ordered three fish fries and one shrimp fry. We had the breaded two piece Alaskan cod for 10.99. It includes choice of potato (including sweet potato fries), baked beans, coleslaw, and homemade corn fritters with honey butter. My dad liked his shrimp, but my review is only about the fish. Delicious! The cod was very lightly breaded with a seasoned batter and very lightly fried. Not greasy at all. Flaky fish, fantastic taste. Fritter has corn kernels baked in and were yummy with honey butter. (See photo) I feel like a damn fool for not discovering their fish fry earlier. Here's the bummer: fish fries are only served Sept-April and 4 or 5 pm til 8 pm. Now I have to get back to Baraboo before the end of April!

Several kinds of deserts available but I was too full to mess with it. Prices are very reasonable. Dinning room is a old school classroom that still has a chalkboard on the wall. The equipment was well-maintained and very fun to play. However, the experience went downhill at the claw machines. They felt like a total scam! The claw had almost zero grip on the plushies. We watched several prizes slip through the prongs every single time. It was very frustrating for the kids. To make matters worse, the ticket prices were way too high. We burned through our credits much faster than expected. It is hard to enjoy the day when you feel overcharged. I hope the management looks into better pricing soon!

The bowling kiosk had a lot of games on it to change up the bowling experience. The venue has a restaurant and a full bar. The bartender wasn't the nicest. My friend tried to get her attention that the water ran out and she didn't give him the time of day. I ordered a beer during happy hour but didn't get the 1$ off for the happy hour. When our groups time was up, the employees were very fast in turning over the lane for the next group. Overall, mixed experience but would probably come back.
