Breakfast items, lunch items, salad bar. The food was excellent. The service was decent. The coffee was also excellent. We sat there for a couple hours catching up, this was out of town family that I haven't seen in a while. It wasn't super busy that they needed the table so they were quite accommodating. Mother's Day buffet was great the biggest variety I've ever had at any place. I recommend it to anybody.

The more I reflect back on our visit on Valentine's Day (2026), I realize how awful it truly was. Service was terrible - the place was empty when we arrived & our server complained how busy she was. The bartender was god awful - we never finished our old fashioneds because they were disgusting. Husband ordered the smoked: they didn't do that. I was specific about no sauce on my rice - it was covered in this heavy disgusting cream. They RUINED LOBSTER - it was charred & seasoned like dirt. Never will go back. And we're local - sharing the experience with everyone who thinks about going there. Too bad Kalahari has taken this over - used to be good!!! I'd rather hit a McDonalds over Trappers Turn any day (& haven't eaten at one of those since 2011) read more

Love the golf! Food is so so. Eaten there three times. Lunch twice; fairly marginal fare, flavor, portions, etc. Dinner was okay. Also tried the Curry "truck fare" and found it to be equal to a few of the (tv dinners) frozen microwave servings, right down to the portion size. Pretty weak, and flavor was non-existent. The bartenders know little, if anything, about specific questions of the menu. Again, weak ... in other words, don't eat at the bar. I "may" try again and look for a real dining experience, but thrice burned, I'm hesitant given the many options in the area. At least I may still grab a bite after morning golf! read more

We decided to give the Easter Brunch a try We were coming from Appleton so I did not know much about this place. You had to make reservations and pay on line. When you checked out tip was included. Sometimes I am hesitant because you don't know what type of service you are going to get. Our reservation was at 12 and we arrived early. They were very busy but we were told we could be seated immediately. We were seated and greeted by our excellent server Anna. Immediately it set the positive tone. We helped ourselves to the wonderful variety of food. Everything was excellent. The prime rib was delicious. My husband loved the lamb and mint jelly. The clams and shrimp were fresh. The 2 piece beer battered fish fry is an enormous portion. For $20, this includes a nice salad bar, soup (NE Clam), and an assortment of cheeses and sausages. Also a choice of side dish and 3 asparagus spears. I choose the loaded mashed potatoes and my wife had the loaded scalloped potatoes as her side. Both sides were very rich, really too much cheese - yes, it's possible to have too much cheese. Almost as much cheese as potato. They also provide pretzel rolls to the table, but no butter in sight, checked the salad bar too. I could have asked our server, but with the richness of the food, I decided to forgo it. The tartar sauce is better than the typical stuff you get everywhere. The restaurant is situated in a large open room. I imagine wedding receptions taking place here. The drive up to the restaurant has little or no signage, so just use your GPS and it should get you to the right place. read more

We had been to their brunch buffet for about four times now and we are satisfied because food selections is worth the cost about $35 I think/ person. The last one we went was last Sunday they had an Easter Brunch (4/20/25) for I think about $55/ person. I think this is over priced for the food selection they offered Last Sunday. They don't replenish the table as quick as they should. The regular Sundays we'd go there to eat, the food selections were better. I hope it'll be better next year. read more

Went to try the Friday Fish Fry in the fall. Beautiful grounds and view from restaurant. Salad bar is traditional Midwest basics with addition of robust charcuterie section plus soup that can all be a meal by itself. I downgraded to 4 stars because the soup was only a heavy creamy option. No healthy soup option. Plenty of fish "fry" options include healthy choices beyond the standard over-broiled cod you might find in other places. Pretzel bread rolls with dinner are great. Overall, this is a nice casual place to go for dinner for a good meal in the Dells. I recommend checking it out. Open dining room setting not the right setting for a cozy dinner for two. Head to Del Bar or other location if you are looking for that. We will be back and bring family and friends. read more

I would love to give this place a better review but the crepe station ( that was amazing ) wasn't there and now they make them in the kitchen... the omelette station is still there and the prime rib is amazing. They still have Diane. She was the one that made the amazing creeps and now she makes the omelettes.... It included the huge salad bar and soup, 2-3 pieces of fish depending on the meal you chose, asparagus and a choice of sides. Bread was also included. By far one of the best courses I've ever played. I only played the new Andy North course and one of the 9 hole tracks. Lots of challenging and scenic dogs legs. Pretty water holes. It was absolutely spectacular. The highlight of my time in Wisconsin. Sad to see it closed for the winter. We decided to go to Trappers Turn for Christmas dinner. That was a mistake. Right off the bat, the server was rude. His name Daribor or something like that and he was rude and inattentive. We found ourselves bothering a very nice lady waiting on a nearby table to get refills on our water and coffee. One member of our party never got her coffee. The food was fair. The green bean casserole and candied yams were watery and runny, there were two types of beef and both were tough. The prime rib was doled out very cautiously. Finally we flagged down our server to get our checks. He dropped them off and I noticed that our 12 year old daughter was billed as an adult. The website stated ages 4-12 were $14.99 & 13 & up were $44.99. After ten minutes or so we were able to flag down our server again and I explained the discrepancy to him and gave him my credit card. Our party was split into two groups, 2 adults and the child on my check and three adults on my brothers check. After some time the server returned and admonished me that it was ten and under for the kids rate and that he gave us the kids rate anyway, but wouldn't in the future. He gave us the tickets for our signatures and left before we noticed that he ran my brother's ticket on my card (3 adults) and vice versa. We waited a while and he was nowhere to be seen. I was mad as a wet hen, so we just signed the tickets and headed for the door. I stopped by the hostess station and asked for the manager. An elderly lady was introduced to me as the manager and I explained that after enduring the rude waiter who neglected our table, he screwed up the check. She was apparently in a mood to argue and I wasn't in a mood to back down. She insisted that the kids rate was for 10 & under and didn't care what the website said. I told her we would never return and I left. A few minutes later my wife came outside. She had stopped by the rest room and passed by the hostess station as the elderly woman told the others that she didn't care if we came back or not. So, if you want mediocre food, poor service, rude managers and at a price of $44.99 a head, this is the place for you! Otherwise stay home and order a pizza from Moose Jaw! read more

We came here for lunch on our wine trolley tour! We had our own space for the lunch and our group was about 30 people so we filled up the private room we were in. No one welcomed us when we walked in so we just grabbed a table. Our lunch was served buffet style. They had a huge variety of salad toppings which was great but it made the line go really slow because people were really contemplating what to choose because they had so many selections. The salad bar was packed and had multiple dressings. If the buffet was two sided the line would have been cut easily in half and so much more efficient. Past the salad there was a few pasta options. One was a red sauce with penne and the other I think was fettuccine Alfredo. I got the penne and a pretty simple salad and it filled me up! There wasn't really anything special about them but they were both pretty tasty. No one came to our table to check on us and if we wanted a drink we had to go to the bar. I get that we had a group but I think someone should have at least introduced themself if we needed help with anything. We would have gladly tipped if someone came by! read more

Went to their brunch buffet with my dad and his wife. They always love going for the buffet and we're so happy I got to experience it with them. The interior is classy but not over the top. For their buffet - they had every breakfast item you could want. Three different kinds of eggs Benedict, omelet station, crepe station and obviously much much more. Went here for Sunday brunch with family. Made reservations, arrived to a beautiful dining room but no one at the podium. We waited for several minutes till a woman came over and said she would get the person who seats us. Another few minutes a man walked towards us, appearing significantly intoxicated. We didn't know if he was a customer, but he stopped, stared at us for 30 seconds and then said"are you ready". Hmmmm. We all looked at each other and decided they must let the employees drink on the job. Haha. After he sat us at a dirty table, the waitress and waiter took excellent care of us and the brunch buffet was terrific. The woman making the omelets was an artist. Went to TT for Mother's Day brunch, 8 of us, 4 adults and 4 children. Everything was fantastic. Numerous buffet tables loaded with excellent choices. Childrens buffet table contained all their favorites; Mac and cheeses, chicken tenders, tater tots an corn dogs. Adult buffet tables were spectacular; prime rib, all you can eat shrimp, omelet bar and salad/fruit table. The dessert table won the prize. Chocolate fountain was a hit with the kids. Multiple options for dipping: strawberries, marshmallows, rice crispy bars and pretzel sticks. Many dessert choices were superb. Small servings allow you to sample a lot of different items. Final hit for the kids was the candy bar. Price was steep for adults and very inexpensive for children. Service was friendly and attentive. We will return. read more

As a golf course, Trappers Turn rates at 5 stars. It's about as good as it gets in this area. On par (haha) with other high-end courses like University Ridge and Wild Rock, you get a great experience at the course as well as top-notch fairways and greens. As a "deal", I don't like paying this much for golf. Even when it's THIS nice. But I digress. When you come up the driveway, you know you're in a swanky place. Immaculate grounds, gushing fountains, and a sharp clubhouse greet you. I was part of a group outing, so I think some of the experience changed compared to what you'd get as a regular guy coming in to golf. We dropped our bags off at a check-in table and came back to find everything loaded in our cart and ready to go. This time, we played the Canyon and Arbor courses. A few years back, I played here and hit the Canyon and Lake courses. From my recollection, I really liked the Lake course - it had at least three memorable holes. We started with the Canyon, which has some scenic views. One of their signature holes is a short par 3 that tees off from an elevated box. You drop your shot down onto the green - if you don't hit the green, you are likely in trouble as it is cut out of the woods with only a small patch of "fairway" in front of the hole. If you golf here in the fall colors, you can't beat it. The Arbor course didn't seem as woodsy as the Canyon. Overall, holes were challenging - lots of bunkers (along the fairway and around the green). Watch the snake bunker on Arbor #8 - if you go in there, you may never get out! One thing we had to look past this last time around was the weather. Heavy rains over the last week or two made it pretty sloshy in some places. Trappers has great drainage - there are some courses that had to be closed because of the rains whereas we just had to deal with some wet spots. Granted, the wet spots made for some tough conditions. Also, it was pretty windy but hey - it's Wisconsin and you'll be have that. Neither of these conditions were unique to Trappers, so I don't hold it against them! Though, the wet grounds did take away from how pristine the fairways can be in nicer conditions. If you don't mind paying for a top-tier golf course, Trappers should be a frequent stop. If you don't like paying a lot, watch some of the discount websites for deals - especially in the spring and fall. You can golf like "the other half" without shelling out the big bucks! read more

Golf course was in good condition. I experienced some of the poorest customer service in my life at this course. No one at the bag drop when I arrived, had to carry my own bag down the stairs. No rangers on the course to enforce pace of play. The foursome in front of us was at least one hole behind the entire round. No one at the bag drop when we left the course, had to carry my own bags up the stairs. The GPS also disconnected sporadically on the course. The cart girl was nice but only saw her 3 times. Much better options in the Dells, don't waste your time or money. read more

Had a fabulous meal at Trappers Turn last night! Both the food and atmosphere were great. Our waiter, Andy, was engaging and efficient. We arrived late, but were treated like we were the first customer of the night. The manager, Patrick, even sent a "surprise" dessert tray to our table! What a bonus! Being near a tourist area like WI Dells we weren't sure what to expect. We went for Friday night fish and prime rib and we were not disappointed in any area of the meal including drinks and dessert. Today I had a 9am tee time with my brothers and my father. At the club house there was a sign that said the beverage cart was already out on the course. We golfed our first 9 holes and did not see the beverage cart. We asked about it qt the club house and again they assured us the beverage cart was out on the course so we went and golfed the back 9 and again never saw the beverage cart on the course. There was never a beverage cart on the course for the 3 hours we were there. It is an extremely hit and humid day and frequent refreshments were much needed. From now on I will just bring my own beverages and I would suggest that to anyone that plans to golf here. read more

Was here for a few days for some golf. Had lunch three days in a row. The hamburger patty was thick, but there was no flavor. It was dried. A little of salt could really bring out the flavors. The menu said that French fries are crispy, but each time they came out soggy and pale yellow in color. it has to be golden for the fries to be crispy. The prime rib sandwich was delicious. I would recommend this one. And the fish fried sandwich was delicious too. Also had the chicken dumpling soup. it was okay. But the vegetable soup was horrible. Trappers turn is beautiful. The restaurant as well. We went there for their New Year's Eve grand buffet, however, and had a mixed experience. The salad bar was very good. They had large shrimp cocktail, mussels, oysters, meats and cheeses, lots of toppings for salads. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. The rest of the buffet, unfortunately, was pretty disappointing. The food was not hot. None of the food in the buffet line was hot. Also, the whole roasted pig they had was dry.
