2 piece cod with loaded mashed potatoes
    Mark S.

The 2 piece beer battered fish fry is an enormous portion. For $20, this includes a nice salad bar, soup (NE Clam), and an assortment of cheeses and sausages. Also a choice of side dish and 3 asparagus spears. I choose the loaded mashed potatoes and my wife had the loaded scalloped potatoes as her side. Both sides were very rich, really too much cheese - yes, it's possible to have too much cheese. Almost as much cheese as potato. They also provide pretzel rolls to the table, but no butter in sight, checked the salad bar too. I could have asked our server, but with the richness of the food, I decided to forgo it. The tartar sauce is better than the typical stuff you get everywhere. The restaurant is situated in a large open room. I imagine wedding receptions taking place here. The drive up to the restaurant has little or no signage, so just use your GPS and it should get you to the right place.

Breaded Haddock, loaded baked potato, and asparagus. It was excellent

This place is excellent great Friday fish fry soup and salad bar !!! Bar service was bad and the bar was empty, restaurant waitress was just as bad and their was only four table full but the salad bar made up for it.

Mother's Day buffet was great the biggest variety I've ever had at any place. I recommend it to anybody.

Although the service was horrible the food and atmosphere was excellent a great brunch. Just don't expect to much on the service end

Beautiful property and we loved the experience! We golfed the 12 north course which was a par 3 with 12 holes. Very fun!

Decent golf course but the food and drink prices were egregious. $10 hot dogs on a gas station style warmer is obviously unacceptable.

I had called the owner and she was so rude when I asked simple questions. The main bar has coors light and miller light neon signs. They are so unprofessional and do not know how to run a wedding venue. My daughter kindly asked for her deposit back and the lady refused. I know we signed a contract but after reading how many terrible reviews and how bad our experience has been she didn't want to go with the venue. We had the ceremony outside along with pictures and music going while being able to see our guests so there was no fear of missing out. Plenty of room for a band and dancing too If you're looking into a venue, I'd highly recommend this place. Not one thing went wrong and it was nothing but amazing. We can't wait for our photos/video. Walking into the brewery was awesome, such a cool place and quite large. The girl at the spot were I believe you can order food wasn't too friendly but the bartender was awesome! Bartender was super friendly, I wish I could remember his name. We told him how we were looking for things to do and he was more than happy to write down some recommendations for us. I thought that was super nice because I feel like sometimes, at least in the Dells area, it seems like they get tired of us tourists and aren't always as friendly as I feel they should be considering they know they're working in a tourist area. We happened to be sitting next to the lady that does the tours so we thought, awesome, we love seeing old buildings and hearing the history so we signed up! It's $20 per person and about 50-60 mins. It was super cool to see, informative, the lady was friendly, and answered any questions we had. It was pretty amazing to hear that people actually live on the 4th floor, I wasn't expecting that for some reason. After the tour was over she played the large organ for us which was great. We sat down for another beer, listened to the awesome music the bartender was playing and set up our next tour at the Driftless Glen distillery. This was on our list plus it was one of the recommendations from the bartender. If your in the area and looking for something different to do, I highly recommend checking this place out!

The house was built between 1905-6 and must have looked like a warehouse compared to average sized houses of the period. The history of the home is pretty extraordinary...I don't want to give away spoilers. In short, there are 24 rooms, many of which are being renovated. The basement isn't part of the tour but I hope once they complete it, that it will be, as I'd come back to see that as well. If you're hungry or in the mood for a beer, the brewery attached to the back is a nice stop. I tried a couple of beers and enjoyed them both. The tour gives the answer as to why they built the brewery as well (sorry, no spoilers here either). The tour is cash only and on specific times, so be sure to check those before coming. Cheers.

We had dinner reservations at their Double Cut Steakhouse. Our server told us about a fireworks show at dusk there so we walked over to the convention area and they had lots of seats set up for the public to sit which was nice. This place is HUGE - they own so much space here. I was really surprised. The fireworks show was really good. It went on for awhile. We enjoyed it. I think we dodged a bullet with the parking because we were there for dinner. You had to go past an attendant who had a sign by him that parking was $25 per car. When we told him we had dinner reservations, he let us go through. All in all, a good experience. Detailed review of the steakhouse in a separate review.

My Wisconsin coworker assured me that Kalahari and wilderness were interchangeable. Primary plans were for June but terrible weather in the Wisconsin and Chicago area for the 48 hours of our intended arrival made the trip impossible. I was able to cancel and get refunded for everything except Kalahari. Which is kinda fucked up because weather shit Is considered an act of God. I have no doubt I could have gotten a refund with the credit card but figured it would be less of a headache to just change the dates later in the summer. Fortunately, Kalahari was able to accommodate that. They wouldn't, however, give me a credit. They required the actual dates which didn't feel very customer service oriented-y. GF's birthday felt like an appropriate time to reschedule so I scrambled to get everything else required (flights, etc) sorted out to ensure the new dates would work. Contrary to some of the reviews I see, there was literally zero issue with check in. It took less than five minutes even though I was not able to use the self service kiosk because of the little date change situation. We stayed in the main resort which I would highly recommend. It was very convenient to be able to pop up to the room to charge something or grab something we forgot. First encounter after check in was weird. I went to get a coffee and ordered a cold brew. I asked if they had oat milk and the guy behind the counter was confused "you want to buy a bottle of oat milk? We don't have that" um.... no.... I just stared at him unsure how to respond. Milk in coffee isn't a foreign concept as far as I'm aware. He tried to tell me cold brew doesn't ever have milk in it. He called over another staff member. I asked if there was a milk station like in standard Starbucks and they said no. After a lot of back and forth eventually someone acted like they were doing me a huge favor by pouring a little oat milk in my cold brew. I would have wanted some sweetener as well but I was not about to push it. We made our way to the outdoor park which was underwhelming. There is a normal pool, a kiddie pool, another area that looks like a pirate ship conglomeration with some slides and other pouring water down things. There is another slide surrounded by an outdoor lazy river that was closed on that particular day. I don't recall if the side was open at that time. Not too much to do here so we made our way inside. This was where the rubber met the road, so to speak. Much more shit in here. There was that thing you can "surf" on that I was not about to do. There was a lazy river, small slides for little kids, I want to say maybe three structures that housed one to two or three slides for adults. There was also one hot tub and an area where you can shoot basketballs. There was also a swim up bar. They were very aggressive about checking ids but didn't check mine so I guess I look like an old hag. Overall it was just not as much as I was expecting for some reason. I was impressed by the cleanliness. Not that it was squeaky clean but I felt like a water park could definitely be worse. They do have cabanas you can rent. We rented ours on day of (a Monday in August) for $300 for the day. It was really nice to have a place to chill outside of the hustle and bustle of the park. We also had our own server, couches, waters, and a tv. It was really nice. We got pretty much a basic room in the main resort. No view whatsoever. The size was decent and included a mini fridge which was nice. The bathroom was small but the toilet flush was very mighty, much appreciated. The beds were SO comfy and plenty, very fluffy pillows were provided. Nothing like the flat, shit you would find in a civil war soldier's coffin bullshits one gets at most hotels. Thermostat worked well. My main complaint about the room was that the water pressure in the shower was ABYSMAL. It was literally like a sprinkler. When you spend time in yucky water park water you need a good hose down afterwards. If you have thick hair, forget it. It takes so long for that sprinkler ass water to penetrate its like not even worth it. This alone is a reason I would look to stay elsewhere in the future. If you don't have thick hair or don't care then it's a non issue. Oh, house keeping was great too. They took care of us and provided an abundance of towels. Probably doesn't come as a surprise but this place is absolutely crawling with children. The number of times I was pushed, bumped into, shoved into a wall, splashed, screamed next to made the lazy river basically untenable and degraded the experience in general. What can you expect from a water park though?
