They started work as soon as they could to remove over 9,000 pounds of stuff from our basement and start the first floor. They were here everyday with up to 12 people working. 59 days later, they finished. The team did an amazing job. The basement looks great and the first floor is beautiful. An hour after the last firefighter left our house and our insurance company was called, a representative from Cityline reached out to set up an appointment to begin our restoration. The response was fast and amazing. That evening equipment began to arrive. The following morning an entire work crew arrived and began the clean-up. In addition, Dana was appointed as our project manager and took away every worry we had by taking complete control of all scheduling. Tom Williams, the owner, arrived as well to ensure all work will be done with the upmost professionalism and promptness. He was RIGHT! For the next several weeks, Cityline did not miss a day during the entire restoration project. Upon removing the ceiling in our bathroom we realized we needed the problem fixed and fast. Especially because now the ceiling in the bathroom was removed. After calling a few other roofers and finding out that none were available until December (SERIOUSLY? I know it's busy season but come on), Carranza luckily had one open spot left for TWO DAYS after we called them! Yay! They were highly rated on Angie's List so we figured we would try it out. The roofer was nice and professional and he fixed everything and even texted my fiance' the photos of what he did since he was at work. The price was VERY Reasonable, I truly expected to pay more (not that i know about prices or anything). Minor never told me "2nd Foreman" was taking over project and it took a steep nose dive because lack of communication from Minor. If 1st Foreman stayed, we wouldn't have had any issues cause he knew exactly what we wanted. I accidentally wrote and gave check from wrong account and I corrected it by gaving Minor another check in it's place. Requested not to cash original check, Minor assured me that it wouldn't be done and they deposited both checks. By the time we realized our money was gone, they said they were going to "look into it and get back to us", in the end Minor or Barb never said a word about it to us. They had to send in someone else to do their dirty work because there didn't have the guts to do it like grown up responsible business owners. Several wrong items were ordered without our knowledge, no final confirmations of what we wanted, no transfer knowledge went from 1st Foreman to 2nd Foreman, shower doorframe installed backwards. Eventually 1st Foreman came in a couple of days to correct mistakes until he got pulled in for something else (probably a bigger bill to put in their greedy pockets). On top of that, the "2nd Foreman" wasn't paid for any of his work along with his assistants. Minor and Barb Carranza got paid over $21k for a incomplete bathroom and took every single penny for themselves. We're still left with a bathroom that still needs fixing. We refuse to have them come in to fix what they messed up. Lies, deceit, and robbery describe Minor and Barb Carranza business.

Mike took a look and identified the problem however he didn't have the tools needed to fix the issue, so he said he would come back the next day. Well, I've been ghosted ever since. The scope work which we wanted done required the workers to use the preexisting and functioning…read moresump pump. The first night after they installed the french drain system and new pit, the sump pump started mal-functioning. The workers came back the next day to finish the job and told us that the floater was sticking and that we may need a new sump pump. Mike tried to scare us into buying a new sump pump for $450. Knowing that we could go buy a perfectly good sump pump for less than $200 at Home Depot, we said no. They "finished" the job and we paid Mike in cash. Well, the next day our sump pump failed again and caused water to seep up onto our basement floor. We called Mike to ask him to come repair the sump pump that his workers had carelessly broken. He told us that there was nothing that he could do and that they don't fix sump pumps and that's why we should have bought a new one yesterday. Furthermore, he didn't offer any sort of remediation. Immensely frustrated after spending all that money, still having a wet basement, and getting no assistance from the company, my husband went to take a look at the sump pump himself. Low and behold, he found little pieces of plastic in the pit that the workers left in there. He removed all the pieces and ever since the sump pump has been working like new. We truly felt like they were sabotaging our sump pump on purpose to scam us for more money. Even if this was not the case, it was still negligence on their part. Furthermore, Mike who claims that he oversees everything only showed up on the last day in order to get paid and never bothered to inspect the quality of work. Overall, even though our basement is dry, the customer service and accountability were lousy. I would not recommend this company to any of my friends or family members.

Not sure i noticed the bad reviews when i was searching around but i had a great experiece…read more Basement Lifeguard was able to fix a too small and ineffective sump pit with a standard sump pit, in tight conditions in a day. They did a fantastic job, kept me updated on the progress and everything is working great to this day. The existing pit was way too shallow, which was shown by the fact that when the job was done right it took 2 days for the water to settle from filling and pumping out. A while later everything is still working fine.
