I moved my mom in last October and every single employee with a title has left except for the activities director. The communication is non-existent. They do not answer phone calls, emails, and they do not even change their vms when someone leaves and a new person steps in. It's almost a conspiracy that they do not want you to know what is going on with your loved one. I tried for 16 days to get my moms invoice and they charged me a late fee! 16 days??? I asked them to talk to the doctor about increasing my moms meds. That was 3 months ago and I haven't heard back since nor does the nurse contact me back. Housekeeping is horrible. They clean the middle of the room and that's about it. The caring staff who works their butts off are wonderful and I cannot say enough except I feel bad for the conditions they must all work under. Every business needs customer service! This place cannot get that after all these years? It starts at the top. The director was going to meet with me in July and then she ghosted me. It's now October. It is horrible enough seeing your loved one decline. Dealing with this on top of that makes for so much more heartache and frustration.

It looks as though a new, residential building is set to begin construction adjacent to one I'm in now, which will mean a great deal of noise and debris in air for the next year or two. After sampling the cafeteria food upon first moving here, I can't personally recommend it, though most older residents seem to enjoy it. I'm trying to bring down my own veggies to eat with a plain chicken breast and salad offered, so I can enjoy lively dinner company with fellow residents. Will have to see how things go.

While I ensured her safety, I second guessed my decisions as she vocally struggled to adjust; it was a lot of change particularly for someone who rarely left her home. Almost 6 months in, a different set of doubts & worries took over. Did I make the right call, could she live somewhere more affordable, would she outlive her money, etc. I don't even recall what search term led me to Senior Living Experts, but I'm grateful. Rebecca listened to my story and made me feel less alone. She thought where my mom was at was the best option in terms of cost, desired location and care needs addressed, but would do the research and circle back. We also discussed the care she received currently and provided a few suggestions. As promised, Rebecca followed up and confirmed her initial assessment. Yes, I'll still worry about her finances, but I now have a better understanding of the landscape and what comes should her care needs increase. Before today I would have given 5 stars but recent events led me to write this review. My loved one…read morewas a resident and I was very impressed with her care here. She was recently sent to hospital and denied re-admission to CBV. This caused us to scramble last minute trying to find another facility. When we called to question this decision we were referred to someone in marketing, Megan. Megan was beyond rude and unhelpful. She couldn't tell me why my LO was denied re-admission and also wouldn't give me access to the clinical team. I reached out to Jazmine (always amazing and helpful) in social work and she gave me the number to contact one of the nursing directors. I've yet to hear back. I have filed complaints with the state and the ombudsman program. There are proper protocols to follow in cases like this and they cannot refuse to give a clinical reason for denial. Hopefully this helps other families. I would avoid this facility as patient care is not the priority as much as their reimbursement is. That is the only possibility for reason of denial as they could not or would not give us a clinical reason.
