Imagine my delight in being truly blessed to have found the outstanding services of the "Schelin Family Chiropractic" on Lyons Road in Coconut Creek, FL. From the first call to make enquires I was met with the charming voice of the Office Manage who immediately put me at ease and welcomed me to the area and set me up with a fast appointment. The moment I walked through the door I was treated as a family member. The atmosphere was dynamic, the lovely voice that had put me at ease belonged to Mrs. Schelin. Doctor Schelin did an extensive exam and asked all the right questions. Over the past few months, I have received amazing care, and met other wonderful clients. The best description I can give for this remarkable office is that it feels like your corner "Cheers" where everyone knows your name. When I walked in, the pain in my lower back was extreme. With adjustments and exercise I am now able to use my exercise equipment once again. There are also amazing free classes that are offered to all clients at no charge every week for one's health and well-being. I assume it is a safety thing since it turns out the supplement I was ordering requires prescription. I was never able to submit the info they required for the "intake" form and, in frustration, I told the ai bot to cancel the order. The bot said ok but I have to pay $50 processing fee. I did not want to buy a prescription that was sold to me without the prescriber knowing my current other supplement. So I did tell the bot to cancel it. It agreed to do so. I immediately got an email stating I would hear back from their review of my the situation within two business days and not to call them. The charge for $539.00 was shown as pending. Two days later I received email that cancelling was not an option since my "intake" information had already been submitted. Now they are impossible to get on the phone. I called through the initial contact number and all roads lead to email. I wanted treatment on both my foot and my lower back, so I paid an additional $49 for the second body part, bringing my total to about $100. I did feel some relief from the treatment. During my first visit, the doctor explained that if I wanted to continue with chiropractic adjustments outside of a treatment plan, the cost would be $250 per session. I explained that I could not commit to a treatment plan without first discussing it with my husband. I was told I should return in about a week for continued treatment, so I scheduled my follow-up appointment. When I came back for my second visit, the doctor presented me with a treatment plan that included a package of $2,500 for eight sessions. I explained that I needed time to consider that option. What was disappointing was that, right before my second shockwave therapy session was about to begin, I was informed that the price had now doubled because the first visit was only an introductory special. This was not communicated when I scheduled the appointment or when I arrived. I was under the impression that the pricing I paid during my first visit would be the cost going forward, especially since I was receiving treatment on two body areas. No new X-rays were being performed, and the treatment itself had not changed, so I was surprised by such a significant price increase with no prior notice. While I did experience some relief from the treatment, I felt the pricing was not transparent and that the ongoing costs were not realistic for the average self-pay patient. Paying $200 for shockwave therapy and $250 for adjustments would make continued care financially unrealistic for many people. Patients deserve clear pricing upfront so they can make informed decisions about their healthcare. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this office.

Dr. Scott and his staff, Kassie, and Alex are always very friendly, accommodating, and helpful to anything that you may need. Every visit I have had has been completely professional and always followed the Covid rules for safety in this sensitive time. Not only do they work together as a team to make sure that you get the care that you need specifically for your body, but they also make you feel comfortable financially with the treatment that you receive. It is nice to see that a chiropractor cares more about your health and the way that you feel as opposed to what you can pay. At this time where many people are unemployed and their incomes are reduced, Dr. Scott is more than accommodating to help work with you and figure out a plan that is best for you and your financial situation. The care that I have received for my neck and my back has been exceptional and I will continue get my treatment at this office for as long as I can until my situation with my neck and shoulder is resolved.
