This review is long overdue. Brian Joseph is the man! I've used a lot of painters over the years, but Brian is by far the most responsive, professional, and reliable painter that I've ever hired. We hired him to paint all of our house's interior trim white in 2017 - it was an enormous endeavor. He even came back after he was finished to touch up numerous spots. We hired him to paint the rest of the interior of our house in 2019. In 2020, we used him again to paint our house's exterior and to repair/replace some siding. This guy is reliable, and his prices are fair. Most importantly, though, when you hire Brian and his company, you know that the job is going to get done and that you're going to get great work. We had 20+ year old wallpaper that needed to be removed before repainting a large master bedroom. I answered honestly knowing that the walls had been sized prior to the paper going up. I did not know that the installer had used glue on pre-pasted wallpaper. Jeremy patiently and skillfully removed the old wallpaper and backing, then washed (more than once) the walls to remove the glue residue before patching and priming the walls for painting. My lovely wife and I have been wanting to freshen the walls and ceiling of our family room for years. Shortly after we moved into our home, we discovered leaks in the skylights that not only damaged the drywall but, as the water ran down the vaulted ceiling, left discolored marks as well. We fixed the leaks by replacing the roof and the skylights, and the time had come to finish the job. With 20 foot vaulted ceilings and a lot of woodwork, this was a job for a pro. We extended the job to include an entryway, two hallways and a stairwell that has the same 20 foot ceiling. We interviewed four contractors that were matched with us on a home service adviser web site, not totally impressed with any of them and completely appalled by two of them, when by a stroke of providence were we contacted by Brian Joseph Painting, who saw the job on the web site but was not matched with us. From the first time we met Brian, we were impressed. Not only was his demeanor professional yet friendly, he spotted damaged areas on our ceiling and walls that even I missed, he offered great advice on color selection AND he's a music lover. We were sold. To watch Brian and his team work was something to behold. These guys know their profession but they also seemed to really enjoy what they were doing. All of our floors were protected with drop cloths, all woodwork was masked and our furniture covered with plastic before one bit of Spackle or paint was applied. Even the nails from our artwork on the walls were carefully removed, wrapped in painter's tape, and hung close to the area where they were removed. That's attention to detail. Not to forget that Brian's pricing, materials included, was very competitive and within our budget. Our home now has a beautiful fresh face for Spring, and we are so very pleased with the results. This is our fifth house so we've had our share over painters the years. Some good; some not so good... and when they're bad, they're awful. Reasons to use his company: He's quick to respond to your request for a quote. He beat out his competitors by a mile. You will have your quote quickly and accurately after you make contact. Scheduling for the job is easy, too. You'll set it up through emails and texting; phone calls when needed. On to the most important part: the results. In a word, SUPERB! Perfect lines along the ceiling and around trim where you notice the professional touch, as well as an evenness of paint applied throughout your wall surface. Clearly, a well-trained staff who both enhance, protect, and respect your home through their paint application. His crew were nothing short of a pleasure to have here and the results were superb! We also had a wallpapering need for a powder room. It was a tricky job, too. Textured wallpapers are all the rage these days but with them, comes some difficulties. While there was initially a delay that was only due to our choice of a very tricky textured wallpaper, he made sure he had the right person for the job. That's because Brian is a perfectionist. That's okay by us. We're perfectionists, too. The wallpaper hanger was a perfectionist, as well. The end result? Needed house to be repainted for sale. Brian promptly came out for estimate. Estimate is competitively priced (very low estimates for me = issues later on!) - neither the lowest nor the ridiculous - for the job scope! Requested a few changes and Brian always prompt to respond - either via email or texts! Though we eventually did not end up using BJP (a very very last minute change - which I apologized to Brian!) - the estimate process, pricing, and Brian's responsiveness were top notch!! They were very thorough in replacing any siding that was showing signs of rot, and had to deal with a surprise carpentry job when several long pieces of cedar trim showed rot on the chimney chase. Brian met with both of us after his crew completed the job, and together we walked around the house to identify any areas that needed touch-ups.
