On 11.21.24 I entered Treviso for intensive physical therapy after a total knee replacement. This…read morewas the best decision I could have made. The nursing staff is wonderful. The physical therapy department is top notch. They care about the patients. We even were part of the Christmas parade in Longview. They constantly encourage and participate in individual recovery. As much help as I needed in the beginning, I never felt as though I was a bother. I plan on continuing to get better and eventually go back as a volunteer. I hope not to need more physical therapy in the future, but if I do, I know where I'll go. Susan Anderson

We put my 89 yr. old father in the inpatient rehab wing for physical therapy. We chose Treviso…read moreafter touring the facility and talking to Abe, who was extremely helpful at that initial meeting. The facility was lovely and had no odor and had a great PT room. Staff was about what you'd expect; some shifts were great and some were not great. He was there 3 weeks when he had a fall. They took him to the ER, where he was checked out and released. Upon returning to Treviso, he was there for a matter of hours when he fell again. This time they called an ambulance, due to the seriousness of the head injury. He went back to the ER and this time was admitted. He was there a couple of days before he passed away in the hospital. My mom and I went back to Treviso that same day and removed his belongings from his room. We received absolutely no contact from Treviso at all. No condolence call, no sympathy card, no email, nothing. Granted, they probably thought we might sue them and they were not saying a word. We were not interested in suing, although you would think they would have kept a close eye on someone who had just returned from the ER due to a fall. I even sent an email to Abe saying it was disappointing to not hear anything from them after my dad's passing. (The hospital had told us that Treviso had been checking in on my dad while he was there, but after he died there was radio silence). But nothing but crickets. So my experience was that they will initially come across as very caring, but that is not the case. I don't blame staff for this; like I said, some were great (we had our favorites) and some were not. But this lack of compassion and humanity falls on Abe and Terry and it just added another level of hurt to a grieving situation. A simple act of respect to a grieving widow was not a lot to expect. And it has definitely had an impact on our experience there.

The person that wrote that comment barely worked and when she did she was late. I tried to train her and every time we would make progress she would call out. But yet she was still welcomed. Im just disgusted at that comment. Kristen P. wrote that comment as an excuse for her insubordinate behavior as the assistant social worker. To try an destroy our character at the Heritage Manor Stratmore is an absolute disgrace and below the belt. Shame on you.

Mom has dementia, and on quite a few occasions I've had to go to the staff for help in reaching mom by phone. The staff has been there for me every time. Never once was I made to feel like I was bothering them or asking for more than I should. They love my mom, and even gave her a very sweet nickname. When I go to visit, it seems like ALL the staff know mom by name and nickname Of course momma wants to go "home" but she is happy there when she's not lonely for her family. I have had one issue with management in almost 4 years and I think that's pretty good . I would recommend you check into Heritage-Stratmore to see if it would be a good fit for your loved one!

i am unhappy from the sales pitch to the living conditions. I was assured on multiple occasions…read morethat this community met the requirements of the VA Pension with Aid and Attendance. That is FALSE. The website for this community states they have partnered with Patriot Angels. How is this possible when this community does not meet the requirement of a Protective Environment? The community does not have 24-hour Security personnel. This community is not staffed 24-hours a day. I feel the website is misleading, untrue and is guilty of false advertising. If you are considering moving into this community and seeking assistance from the VA, beware and think twice as your application will not be approved. As to the living conditions ... My parents dealt with a non-functioning bath tub for 3 weeks. The unit that my parents moved into had been vacant for at least 30 days and in my observation, nothing had been done to inspect the unit or ensure things were functional before they moved in. My parents have reported the housekeeping service which is included in the rent is beyond POOR. In the 8 weeks that my parents have been residents here, they have seen the housekeeper twice. If not mistaken, the apartments are to be lightly cleaned once a week with a heavy cleaning once a month, Lastly, the dining service is a hit or miss. Meals are not served on schedule. On more than one occasion, it has taken 1 1/2 hours to be served. I have also been alerted to the fact that the residents may not ask for any substitutions. It is a take it or leave it kinda of service. As such, my parents find themself skipping many meals and buying groceries. This defeats the whole purpose of moving into a community that provides 3 meals per day. It certainly doesn't help reduce expenses. I have also heard that the dining room staff is not very nice.
