She rarely checked in on us & just overall wasn't impressed. Wish we lived closer! Good food, good service, lots of screens to watch sports. Only complaint is that it's a little loud in dining are but I'm sure the rooftop seating is better for conversation. We hade the Brick & Ivy burger with chips. The burger was flavorful and cooked well. The chips were great. Also had Pedro's Tacos - brisket was the choice. Yummy and could only eat 2 out of 3. Not gonna lie the first 2 times we came here we weren't impressed but that was when they first opened years ago. My wife and I thought we'd stop by for a pubpass- we've always liked how cool the atmosphere is. I had a couple easy Eddie's that tasted very fresh from the tap and my wife decided to try out the nachos since it was happy hour. We came on a Saturday night with a group of friends to watch an Iowa State game and have drinks and food. The restaurant has plenty of booths, tables, bar seating, and patio spots. So here goes guys and gals- I had pretty high hopes for this place, but it's just another bar style restaurant, nothing stood out. I mean the service was great, we were there maybe 20 minutes and had already got our appetizer and entrees. Unfortunately though the prices are a little steep for what they offer. Most of the stuff runs $14-15 a plate. It was good, tasty fresh food but nothing special. The setting was not too loud, and there was a good variety of tv's. There was plenty of seating indoors and outdoors; however it was way too cold to sit outside. I would recommend the fried pickles for an appetizer. Their onion rings are pretty good, you can actually eat them without pulling an onion out. To sum it up I would consider this place like a buffalo wild wings. read more

Started off with pretzel bites and queso. The bites were hot and the texture was excellent. The queso had good flavor. BBQ pizza with brisket was the main, split between 2. In my opinion this place is pretty average - I got the pulled pork nachos and each piece of pork was as long as a men's size 11 shoe! It made it super hard to eat any of it since you can't rly take a knife to a plate of nachos. I also had to pivot in my plan to cure a hangover by having some mimosas because they had no champagne! Poor move for a bar with an atmosphere as good as this one! Or at least I think it's a good atmosphere, but the rooftop wasn't open so I can't be sure. To give credit where it's due, everyone with me got a burger of some kind and they all liked their food! I was meeting some friends and wanted something quick and fairly light to eat. I checked the menu on YELP before arriving because it was my first time at this restaurant. Apparently, there has been a menu change since the photos on YELP were taken because they no longer serve the wrap I intended to order. No big deal. We were seated inside as it was a bit chilly outside. There were at least 10 adults in my party and pretty much everyone ordered something or other. I ended up ordering a black bean burger and fries. I also ordered a side of macaroni salad because I thought the menu said a side was included with the burger and fries. The burger and fries were $14.00 before tax. The cup of macaroni salad was another $3.00 before tax. The fries and macaroni salad were okay but the burger tasted like they heated it up from frozen. It seemed kind of expensive for what I got. The little basket with the burger, fries, and the cup of macaroni salad totaled over $18.00 after tax. Also, I had to leave a few minutes earlier than the main group and I had to flag down a waitress to pay before leaving. The waitresses were all hanging out in the kitchen or someplace. I'll probably go back because I have friends who like this place. However, I will definitely study the menu and get recommendations for what people like from there before ordering next time. read more

I've ordered for pick up here before a few times, but it never really did hit me the way I felt like it should. However, this time I went inside with some co workers and dined in. I ordered the chicken bacon ranch wrap with a side of fries and cup of ranch for dipping, and I must say it was actually pretty tasty. The wrap was a nice size and the chicken was well cooked. The other ingredients were fresh and had a nice bite to it. Only complaint I have is I didn't really have that much ranch in my wrap, but I had the cup sort of fix that issue. The fries were nice and warm like they were freshly fried, nice and crunchy and not soggy what so ever. Ranch was tangy and complimented the fries well. Lastly I had 2 mules and a cup of water to cleanse my pallet. It was super busy inside the restaurant, and there was live music so I expected it to be crazy for the servers. Was overall a good experience! My bill came out to be roughly 38$ which is a little high considering what I got, but it was good food and the best experience I've had here. We chose this place because we were staying at the hotel in the next parking lot. It was pretty busy, but when we went in to get a table, most of the interior dining room was empty. The outside areas were where most people were spending their time. We had a pretty good server; however, we had not been informed there were any happy hour specials. We ended up ordering two appetizers just by chance because we weren't hungry for a full meal. We didn't know that the appetizers were about $5 each until we got our check. We would have probably ordered more things to try if we'd known. The moment our food (boneless asian wings and carnitas nachos) arrived, we were inundated with flies. We had to take napkins and fashion lids for the food and try to eat with one hand while waving our other hands to keep the flies off our food and drinks. The server apologized, but still it was really disgusting and made the meal very unenjoyable. This place leaves a garage door open to the patio and the bar has a side open to the patio, which obviously adds to the fly problem. It ruined the whole experience and there's no way I'd ever go back unless they can do something to control the agressive flies. It might have helped if they ever bussed the empty tables, but tables sat with dirty dishes the whole time we were there. We also never got drink refills. Family and I went to Brick and Ivy in a Saturday night around 5:00 and were seated right away. My 10yo really wanted a Chicago dog and thought theirs looked good so we'd give it a try. Order the Chicago dog for him, wife got the Buffalo wings, younger son got the kids meal dog with Mac and cheese. Finally I ordered the Chicago Dog Challenge. Worst part was the wait (about an hour). I'm hoping it was because I order 8 dogs, but we still didn't think making that should take an hour. Wife thought her wings were extremely dry, but kids both like their dogs and I was very happy with home my dogs came out. (After the staff made 100% sure I actually wanted to attempt it.). I nailed the dogs in a bit over 18 minutes. My wife doesn't think we need to go back because of the wait and the dry wings. If you want to know what you're eating, this is an establishment best avoided. Server straight up lied about an ingredient--we asked if the mac n cheese had onion and were told no. My partner is severely intolerant of onion and is currently running a fever and puking his guts up, and may need to be hospitalized. In addition, we brought up that the meat on my sandwich was too tough and that I couldn't eat it, and the server told us that "no one else complained about that today," and then walked away. Because of a previous surgery, the meat is tough enough to cause me a blockage and put me at serious medical risk, and they didn't care at all. It was rude and made me feel like a major inconvenience. Paying $140 to have our evening ruined was absolutely ridiculous, and what with the mediocre sandwiches and irresponsible staff, I'd warn everyone away from this place. read more

We found this place by accident as it was right next to our hotel, it didn't come on Yelp when we searched. I had the Asian wings and a side salad. Both were very good. My husband had the garlic Parmesan wings with fries and they were delicious. I got 4 more wings in my order than my husband did.... I've eaten here twice. Both times were disappointing both from service and quality of food. 1st visit: slow day, 8 tables. Our party of 2 took 45 minutes to get food, glasses sat empty. Told a manager about it and she said "yeah he sucks". The manager didn't seem to care about me, the server, or the customers at all. 2nd visit: takeout. Watched about 7 employees walk past me before anyone even said hi. 25 minutes later, the hostess says "the kitchen wanted me to let you know that a piece of your pizza is missing". Legitimately sold a pizza with a piece gone. No discount or voucher at all. All I could do was laugh. Santa Fe burger, pretzel bites, flatbread pizzas are all very average bar food as well.
