In a former life I visited here frequently for some of the odds and ends a fella might need as he's remodeling a house or building a deck. As a hardware store, there's muuuuch to be desired. I don't think I'd come here to shop around for anything. The few shelves of tools, hardware, and other fit-in-your-cart supplies they have on hand are more for convenience when you're there picking up or ordering more hefty stuff. So, it's nice that they carry a small selection of bolts and screws and tape measures and shelf brackets (and so on), but don't plan on this as a swing by and browse kind of adventure. The real bread and butter here is obviously the building supplies. And you should probably have a little swagger in your step when you come through the door and know what you're after. The guys here have always been nice enough to help me stumble through what I was after as I employed my best construction laborer vocabulary, but I can bet it would get tired if I was constantly describing what kind of 2 x 12 I needed by the smell of the wood. "You know, kind of like Christmas trees but less sappy smelling." Kudos to them and their patience. Stock was a serous victim of the housing crunch. This place used to be bumpin' but it's a ghost town nowadays. Their staff was cut down by at least half (I want to say closer to 75% or more) so be patient as they try to get a guy out to the yard to find your stack of 12-footers. The public is always welcome here. They do have "showroom" of some of their door products, casing and trim, and other things they can walk you through, but it's really an insider's world there. Prices can vary wildly. Sometimes the big box stores have better 2x4 prices, but sometimes Stock could crush their prices on more uncommon cuts and materials. It's always worth a phone call, especially if you're buying materials in any kind of bulk. When used right, this can be a great place for good deals, and the salesman will bust their butts to track down what you need and make it convenient for you to pick it up or have it delivered to your jobsite. Never hurts to call them for a quote or to stop by, but just don't expect an orange-aproned experience.

During our call he gave me excuse after excuse as to why he couldn't come to my home to sell about 10k in materials finally saying that on behalf of BMC, he was refusing to sell me anything at all and that I should call a contractor. If this is the way customers are treated at this store, I am frankly shocked they are still in business. If you are not a builder/contractor, don't bother with these guys. They don't want your business!

I ordered 2 cubic yards of topsoil. They charged $300, including the delivery fee, and left me with…read morethis pathetic pile (see first photo). When I called to tell them they had shorted me, they had me send this photo, which they reaffirmed was indeed 2 cubic yards of dirt. That much dirt if delivered in a block would measure 6 feet tall, 6 feet wide and 6 feet deep. As you can see, the pile they left me with was nowhere close to that large, even factoring in it would not be 6 feet high as the soil would slope down the sides of the pile and make it much larger at the bottom. I sent my landscaper to pick up 2 cubic yards from the same place, and his trailer shows much more than they delivered in their truck (see second photo) Unless you want to be totally ripped off, do not buy from this dishonest company.

This location is easy to find and there's lots of big parking spaces available. Thank you to the workers for being diligent about the shopping cart returns, I rarely see stray wagons in the parking lot and there's always a shopping cart available at the front entrance. Customer service has been top notch on all of my shopping visits here. They are friendly and greet you at the front door. If I ever needed to ask a question, there was always a knowledgeable sales associate walking around to help. Thank you Lowe's for having healthy plants available. Even coming late for poinsettias, I still had great options to purchase. Really appreciate the sales too as two big beautiful poinsettias came home for the price of one!! I give Lowe's itself one star for any large purchase, especially if you order for delivery and…read moreinstall. It took over a month for them to install the toilets correctly. The first issue is communication between them and the third party company they work with. They scheduled the install 2 weeks out from when I bought the toilets. They did not show up or even call me to let me know they would not show up. I had to call them to see what was happening. They gave me a made up story about the truck breaking down. Okay, but why didn't you call to let me know. The manager (Jennifer) was very nice and rescheduled for a few days later. The plumber showed up and did the work but wanted to charge me extra. He said the toilet might leak, and within half an hour of him leaving, it was leaking. He said he would come back and fix it if it did. He requested a video of the leak and apologized, but then ghosted me. I called Lowe's customer service again to have them send someone to finish properly installing the toilet. They scheduled it for 3 days later, but that day came and no one showed or contacted me. They then tried to schedule for over a month later. This was so very frustrating. I called Jennifer and she finally got that plumber to come fix the leak. So, four times I had to take off work and on two of the days they did not even show up or contact me. I gave one star back because Jennifer was so nice and was really trying to help me, but I will never do any major business with them again even when they offer a special.
