Very unprofessional. I came upon their business via eBay. I was interested in a watch that they had for sale. I wanted to do business in person and it was impossible to find their store. I ended up calling multiple times with no answer. I found another number which finally someone replied. After I expressed my interest and intent with the watch the person did not message me back. The watch was after removed from eBay 5 minutes after. The whole business started to seem a little shady to me. I ended up messaging the number the following day, the person replied the watch was "sold". I wish they had communicated this the day prior or at least tried to help a potential customer. Maybe by saying "hey maybe I can get another one, would you be interested?". The lack of customer service was incredible. Be very weary of doing any business with these people. read more

An embarrassment to Mary Brickell Village! I found Brickell Jewelers after searching for "watch repair." The hours of operation listed online states that it closes at 9pm. On Friday night, my boyfriend and I scheduled our evening around their advertised hours and walked over to get his watch band resized. We arrived at the door at 8pm (a full hour before they are scheduled to close). A woman employee is standing at the counter talking to two (what appeared to be) customers. The door was locked so we gently knocked on the door to get the workers attention, but she refused to look at us. Then, the girl who the employee was talking to, who as far as we could tell based on her posture and crass demeanor to be heavily intoxicated, turned to us and showed us her middle fingers raised with both hands. I was completely appalled. In normal situations, it isn't fair to associate a customer's behavior to an establishment, but this was hardly a normal situation. It was only after a good minute of letting the drunk customer continue her profane gesticulating around the store that the employee realize it may be best to open the door and let us inside. At that point, the intoxicated patron came to the front door and used both hands to push my boyfriends chest and say "they are not open!" We walked around the tawdry girl to attempt to speak with the employee. The employee told us that they no longer stay open until 9, but instead close at 8pm, and unlike what they advertise, they no longer serviced timepieces. At that point, I was so furious with the way we were treated, and even if they had provided the services we needed, I had no desire to bring them any business whatsoever. From what was apparent, the employee had let in some of her friends into the store and rather than attend to customers, or at the very least control her childish friend long enough to tell us she was closed and no longer serviced watches, she sat there bemused at her friend's actions. The main quality I look for in a store you plan on spending some real money at is feeling a sense of warmth and honesty. There is so much behind the scenes of gold, diamonds, and watches, but Danny and Mike ensured me I was in good hands. There father is a diamond master for over 40 years and has trained them well. We bought a Oudemars watch from Brickell Jewellers in good faith . Mike could not provide us with the relevant paperwork but suggested we take it to the Oudemar shop in Brickell City Center to have verified . The Oudemar shop said the serial number was inactive and suggested to us that the watch was either fake or stolen . We returned to Mike at Brickel Jewelers to explain the situation and request a full refund . Mike turned from being Mr Nice to Mr Nasty . At the beginning of the conversation he agreed to a full refund if there was a problem with the watch . When we returned Mike was angry and decided to " keep $1000 because we had ruined his day ". Despite seeing all these other positive reviews, I feel the need to share my awful experience with this store. As the story goes: My wife and I had been searching for a pair of diamond huggie earrings for quite some time. I happened upon Brickell Jewelers on a Sunday afternoon while walking the dog and found a pair I thought she might like. I told the salesman that I would come back with my wife to see if she liked them. Being a good salesman (and he was courteous throughout my 1st experience) he told me that I could take them and "just bring them back" if she didn't like them. I figured that was a nice idea, as I could have them waiting for her when she came home. Unfortunately my wife didn't like the earrings and I went back to Brickell Jewelers the next day (Monday). 24 hours had hardly elapsed between my visits. I was shocked to have the same salesman offer me an exchange or store credit. I was told this is an industry standard, but it was the 1st that I heard of that; I must admit that I don't do a ton of jewelry shopping and I will know this for the future. The issue is that the salesman (on the day of purchase) didn't say to me that I could exchange them or get a credit. He insinuated I could bring them back for a refund. No, he didn't specify refund, nor did he specify exchange or credit. This mix up is not what irked me. The problem was the way I was treated during the confusion. Both the salesman (who acted as if he barely remembered a transaction form the day before) and the manager were extremely obnoxious. They expressed that they couldn't change their policy and would have to issue a credit. The last thing I wanted was a few hundred dollars credit to this store, when at the moment my wife and I were shopping for earrings which we would now be buying elsewhere. I explained that while I understood where they were coming from, I thought they were not being fair, considering I was, in my view, misled by the salesman. Only after threatening to walk out, without the earrings, and have American Express handle my dispute did the store decide to issue me my refund. This is a simple case of mishandling a minor misunderstanding. They could have righted the situation, allowing me to maintain a positive view of the store. In which case I would have been inclined to return for future needs and tell others about the great service I received. Instead, i will never return and wouldn't encourage any friends or family to do so either. read more

I was worried because it's an heirloom piece, but when I got it back, it was not only sized correctly, but it was polished beautifully and looked even better than ever. Such a disappointment for a family run store. Brought my Tag in to get the battery replaced. When I got it back, they had screwed up all the movements, making it totally worthless. I was told, they "see what they could do, but didn't want to spend alot of money on it".. Really?? In the end, they kept my watch for over 6 months and didn't do anything to fix it. The arrogance of the owner and one of the salesman made me surprised that this store is still in business. I think, if they're taking your money, they'll be as nice as can be, but if you ever have a problem, they'll just wait you out until you finally go away.
