I recently bought a Rolex -- an exciting milestone, or at least it should've been. But my experience at the Rolex store in Brickell City Centre turned it into a complete nightmare. When I brought my brand new Rolex Datejust in for a simple sizing adjustment -- just to have a few links removed -- I was met by the store manager, a woman who, shockingly, reeked of alcohol and couldn't keep her eyes focused. Not exactly the kind of presence you expect in a Rolex boutique. She took the watch to the back, and when she returned, she told me with a straight face that I'd need to pay $1,500 to have the watch soldered to fit my wrist. Yes, soldered. Not resized -- soldered. As if permanently damaging the watch and ruining the value of a luxury timepiece was a reasonable solution. When I pushed back, she looked at me and said, "If you just worked out and got a little fatter, it would fit you better." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Not only was the entire proposal outrageous, but the level of disrespect and unprofessionalism was on another level. This wasn't luxury service -- this was a total scam, and frankly, insulting. Still in disbelief, I went to the Rolex store at Aventura Mall a few days later. There, they resized the watch on the spot, cleaned it, and treated me with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care -- everything Brickell completely lacked. And guess what? It was free. So whatever game the Brickell Rolex thinks it's playing -- it's a bad one. They tried to hustle me like I was clueless, and their customer service was as shady as their ethics. I'll be telling everyone I know to steer clear of that store. If you're looking for a high-pressure, borderline insulting experience where the staff smells like booze and acts like you're an inconvenience, Brickell's your spot. I have done business with Jeff years ago at the old location and received such great treatment that I knew when I was in the market for another item Kirk was where I was going to go. Sadly, I can't say I had a good experience. 1) the website states that they are open until 9. Called in to check inventory and if Jeff was there. 1a) they close at 8 during the week and were not willing to stay open for an extra 5-10min according to the GPS travel time. 1b) worse Jeff wasn't in. Little disappointing because I was looking forward to see him again. 2) we rush to the location. I drop off my wife to head up and get in to the building with 8min or so to spare. 3) park the car carry the kiddo to the 3rd floor. He's not used to being up this late so he's a bit fussy. 4) When I arrive at the I gesture to the woman inside and she roughly 20ft from the door aggressively slices at her neck to signify that they're closed at this point. I point at my wife in the back being helped then to myself. She again rolls her eyes and repeats the neck slicing gesture. 5) finally my wife sees me at the door and asks to let me in. As annoyed as i was I brush it off and just go to see the inventory. My wife finds an item. She's interested in. I see the Tudor Ranger ask a couple a questions about strap options. The woman helping us is new. She don't have all the info so she asks for some additional support. Another man comes over and tells me that the don't have the strap in question and didn't believe that it was an option and gives me a bit of an attitude like I don't know what I'm talking about. Needless to say the service is not what it once was only one location and less than 5yrs ago. And as lovely as this new location is... With that type of less than desirable service I couldn't justify buying anything from these sales people. So I didn't get to accomplish my goal of purchasing from Jeff but it's still something I'm willing to consider if there is some training in people skill for the sales people. Just not to make my trip to Miami a total failure I did purchase two Tudors from a different location. read more

While on vacation, my recent visit to this Rolex store was unfortunately disappointing. Upon entering, I was greeted, and an associate inquired about my needs. However, when I mentioned my interest in Rolex watches, she promptly informed me, "Sorry, we have nothing in stock," and then turned away to continue her conversation with another sales associate, making me feel as though I had interrupted them. I spent some time browsing the store and asked if there was anything available. The same associate responded, "No, we are a high-demand store," and suggested I visit my local store to update my wish list as all their watches were already spoken for upon arrival. When I moved to the section with pre-owned Rolex watches, I stood in front of the display case for several minutes before the associate finally approached me, after finishing her conversation. I inquired about the price of a Rolex GMT "Batgirl," and she offhandedly stated, "It's around $19,000," without checking the actual price. At this point, it was evident that they were not interested in assisting me further, so I decided to leave the store. *On the same vacation, I visited a local Rolex AD in Nassau, Bahamas, and the experience was entirely different. Where do i begin? I was told in 2019 by sales associate "Maybel" that every single Rolex watch I mentioned to her was a watch that I would need to wait for. I expected this response, so I asked for more details and was told I would be able to get a submariner date the following year because "submariner is the only piece that might be possible because all the others are also part of the special watches." whatever that means. the end of 2020 rolls around, and after checking in somewhat regularly, I received no updates, and no watch. 2021 rolls around, and am now told "I am to be honest, only black is possible and wont be this year. we have too many request and this year we are sold out." mind you, this is after already waiting 2 years for the most basic sports model watch that Rolex offers, in the most regularly produced color which is the black with the black bezel. Now 2022 rolls around, and i am told, after already confirming I would like to buy the black stainless sub-date, "to be honest, only black is possible and wont be this year. we have too many request and this year we are sold out. We don't have a time frame delivery because Rolex doesn't give us time..." Why was I told I would receive one "next year" in 2019, but now it was 2022 and still no watch, but also was then told you guys actually don't give a timeframe... Maybel then said "Sorry, it's because we are delayed on delivering pieces." whatever that means....Maybel then proceeeds to tell me she has nothing available at the moment and that I need to "remember, I like the most popular ones." Maybel then stops responding to text messages and has nothing to tell me when I call the store, however a good friend of mine who had zero shopping history with Kirk Jewelers happened to randomly walk into the Brickell store one day while down in Miami and walked out with a Sub Date that same day. I, on the other hand, have now been "patiently" waiting for her to "get something for me" (even though we all know the stores receive watch shipments regularly) for 5 years. I did find it quite entertaining one of the times I walked into the store, I was told if i could convince my friend to buy the overpriced pre-owned Patek 5726/1A-014 that they'd get me the watch I was after. Interesting how that works isn't it? You can lie to a customer's face about not having inventory, and there being production issues, and delivery issues, and come up with every excuse under the sun, but then magically you're able to get a watch for me if I could have made that sale happen? I have called and expressed my frustrations to Maybel, and was even told the manager would reach out to me over the phone to "make it right." yet, what yo you know?! I never got a phone call. Now, weeks have passed, and I called this morning to follow up about that phone call from the manager and I am told they are in a meeting (again) and that they'd email the manager (why can you not tell the manager who is in the other room to give me a call after the meeting is over)? Super interesting business strategy. Not only has it steered me away from buying watches from your store in the future, but it will keep me, as well as family and friends from purchasing any other types of jewelry through Kirk Jewelers in the future as well. read more

I was originally told by Maybel that I would have to wait 1yr to 1.5yrs to buy a stainless Rolex sports model because they prioritize their existing customers. I know this is standard practice, so I said that was fine, and left my info. Fast forward, I've now been waiting 3 years & have checked in somewhat regularly. Now I'm told "I don't have anything available at the moment; remember you like the most popular ones". AD's like this who reserve all of their Rolex stock for back door sales and existing clientele have taken the joy out of watch collecting, and have just completely ruined it for me. They smile to your face, ask for your info, add you to an imaginary "list" and then throw it out when you leave the store. What a joke. Go to Mayors. I went in to get an appraisal and to have some work done on my wife's ring. The owners are a brother and sister team who are knowledgeable of their product line and of the diamond industry as a whole. They are friendly, willing to listen to your needs and I can appreciate that they provide courteous service without the need of high pressure selling. VERY few businesses in Miami do all the right things to draw a persons loyalty like the fine people at Kirk Jewlers do!!! I purchased my wife's engagement setting and band from them. They took a diamond (an old miners cut with few facets) handed down to me and sent it to their technician to re-cut in order fit the setting they helped me pick out and it came out GREAT! Later they accommodated me by matching the engagement ring to the band, because it was a contemporary style that necessitated a band which followed the same style. Even though I didn't spent much money with them (only around $2,000) they treated me like I was their most important customer. They always remembered mine and my (now) wife's first names and always asked us how the wedding planning was coming along. Its easy to go online and find jewelry and high end watches (they sell Tag, Rolex and $20k or more Patek Phillipe's) for less than most brick and mortar stores and, at the very least, one can save a lot on sales tax by buying online. HOWEVER, going to a place like Kirk's is worth whatever modest premium one MAY pay (I say may because I'm absolutely certain they would compete with any online retailers price if you were straight forward with them in negotiating) for the jewelry. ALSO, there is an intangible value to their high level of service that far exceeds the kind of hassle one is likely to encounter (either after or before the purchase) if purchasing jewelry online or from any other brick and mortar store. To sum up, this establishment has a long history of providing excellent service in Miami and they found a customer for as long as I'm in South Florida. I highly encourage anyone in the market for jewelry or high end watches to check them out. You WON'T be disappointed! read more

Excellent classy layout, very helpful and polite sales staff, very knowledgeable and helpful about Patek watches without the snobbery that comes with most Patek dealers. Jeffrey was especially great - he is part of the family that has owned the business for generations. They even have free valet parking for an hour or validate parking. 100% worth checking out and buying from. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is that they don't have any watch brands besides 2 - Rolex and Patek. Monalisa was my direct sales vendor and she did an outstanding job following up on my purchase and making sure everything was in order.
