With my group on a recent visit to Imperial, we easily placed an online order for a bunch of sandwiches. It was super easy to pick them up and we all enjoyed the sandwiches together. Great option when you are on your way to Palm Springs or San Diego. I had a fabulous breakfast sandwich- it was the single and HUGE! Fantastic food and service in the pearl of the desert! This sandwich shop has well crafted deli offerings and cold drinks in this large strip mall bistro. Stopped on our way back from our daughter's wedding in Fallbrook. It was a little challenging to get there as there was a murder investigation going on so we were rerouted onto some farm roads, but the detour was worth it! The bread and ingredients were super fresh and we all enjoyed our sandwiches. The restroom was clean and the staff were friendly. Traveling from San Diego to Mesa and needed a breakfast stop. The reviews seemed good so our group of four from Iowa decided to make the stop. We are so glad we did. We all ordered something different from the breakfast menu and were all impressed with the food. I had the best breakfast sandwich I've ever eaten. Croissant was flaky. The meat and egg made fresh and the Chipotle sauce was such a great added touch. The restaurant itself was clean and quaint with fresh flowers on every table. The topper was the hospitality we received while dining in. The owner delivered our meals to our table. He asked if there was anything else we needed; sauces, salt, pepper, anything else. Then he visited with us for several minutes. This was the friendliest encounter our "Iowa Nice" group had the entire week we've been in California and Arizona. An excellent spot for sandwiches, soups, and salads. It was our first time here, and the cashier highly recommended the Carter sandwich as it is by far their most popular sandwich. It's $14 for the full sandwich (half orders are available) but they give you a generous amount of turkey, so the price is on the high-end of reasonable. Overall, the sandwich was really good, and the bread was excellent. If I had to fault it, I would say that the bacon was thin cut and did not appear to be freshly cooked. But again, the sandwich as a whole was awesome. We also had the tomato basil soup. That was stellar. 10/10. Highly recommend it. I've never said what I'm about to convey in a Yelp review, or any other social media application that is available other than Yelp. But here it goes- of all the businesses that I have visited in my business travels over the years (to include the thousands of prior reviews I've written across various mediums), the customer service that I received from Brickhouse Deli was perhaps the very best that I've ever received. No exaggeration. Here's a brief summary of what occurred in November of this year. I needed a nearby place to eat due to having my vehicle serviced, and didn't want a chain restaurant. Enter Brickhouse. Upon arrival, a college-aged brunette female full of genuine energy & enthusiasm greeted me at the door, and proceeded to recommend what the popular choices were to eat upon my prompting. While I indicated that I really wanted caffeine, the employee walked me next door to the area where coffee was received. No problem with that. After returning to the deli, I order a couple of marshmallow pastries, to which the manager reduces by half due to this being in the afternoon. Ok, surprise there. Then, she throws in a brownie and additional pastry for free just because. Ok, didn't expect that, yet I like the customer service even more. So when it comes time for me to get seated in my chair, I indicate that I was going to go next door to pick up my specialty drink order. The same brunette female that introduced me to the coffee area early says "No problem, let me check something first." So I wait about 30 seconds wondering by what she meant by that, only to discover that she actually brought me my drink unexpectedly. I was quite surprised, in that she didn't have to do that. She mentioned that she tries to do that for all of her customer s. I greatly appreciated this gesture, as I found it as going above and beyond expectations. When it came time to depart, I was surprised yet again by a male employee that offered me free cookies (turns out that this was the owner's son). Prior to leaving, I asked the manager that I spoke to earlier if everyone that worked here was being for real, and that if the customer service is consistently like this. Her response? That everyone enjoys working here, and that the owners take good care of everyone due to it being a family business that treats everyone like family. I was initially reluctant to leave here, yet closing hours were closing hours (this is strictly a breakfast and lunch location). The big question that I asked myself after leaving was "Did this just really happen when it comes to customer service?" The above and beyond service that I unexpectedly received was so good that it's difficult to compare to to something of similar experience anywhere. Without question, the absolute best customer service that I've ever received in at least a decade (possibly two). Am I coming back? Do you really have to ask that question? read more

We stopped here on our way to Arizona and what a treat it was!! The Deli has a great atmosphere and the staff were very warm and welcoming. We ordered the Carter, Veggie sandwich and a Caesar salad. Solid healthy salad and sandwich option in the area. I stopped by for lunch on my way to Arizona. The half salad and half sandwich option was great. Salad was fresh and portion was large. I recommend the Ashley. Sandwich was pretty good. The 3-bread stacked half Papa T sandwich was hard to eat and $16 for a full size sandwich feels really steep. Tuna sandwich was ok--nothing special. Their breakfast sandwiches are freshly made and probably my favorite over lunch sandwiches, just my preference. However, my favorite sandwich is the Papa T.
