My gf and I walked in on Saturday afternoon on Mother's Day weekend and asked for a table for two. The hostess said if we didn't have a reservation they wouldn't be able to accommodate us, even though there were several empty tables. If it would have ended there they would be getting one star. However, Esther stepped in and asked us to wait a second while she went to talk to her husband Andrew. About a minute later she comes back and had us promptly seated. I'm glad we stayed because the food was delicious. They had a special with two New York steaks and two sides each for $39. NY is not my favorite cut of steak, but the Chef did a phenomenal job, as it was one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. I paired it with delicious cheesy potatoes and grilled vegetables. My gf had the NY steak, side salad and grilled vegetables. The food was amazing and the dessert was even better. We had the delicious Butter Cake a la mode with berries, fresh out of the oven. First time eating here...takeout! We had the steak salad and it was fresh plus the steak was tender and tasty! We also had the tri-tip sandwich and fries and it was packed with meat and cheese and dip on the side ...very delicious and filling! I usually don't rate fries, but these were just right in taste and size. We also had the cheeseburger and fries combo and it was probably one of the best burgers in town! I went there to eat with my wife. They served us our drinks. My ice tea had cilantro on top. Then noticed a few flies encircling the table. As I was going to start to eat my baked potato and steak I noticed a huge hair about 5-6 inches if not bigger. I notified the waiter and requested to see the manager but was told manager was not present. I paid the bill and left . I would not recommend this place to anyone. Simple, fast and amazing I have had some of the best steaks here than anywhere in the Valley plus the service is fast and my drink is never empty, pricing is rather high but that's to be expected from a nice steak house. My steak is always cooked to perfection and the salad and vegetables are pretty good also, the strawberry lemonade is a real treat with sugar around the rim of the glass. We decided to try out this place. We waited over 10 minutes to be seated, then another 15 to place our order. I ordered and $5.00 raspberry lemonade that was watered down. Refills are $1.00 which baffles me that you can serve the same drink for a $1 that you just sold to me for $5.00. We didn't get any bread because it was baking in the oven. I ordered a Ribeye with fries and a side salad but they didn't have fries so I settled for a baked potato. How do you not have fries but have potatoes. Oh, that's because they're frozen. Silly boy! They brought a nice tray of cold veggie slices with some ranch with my drink to gnosh on while waiting for my appetizer. I had the shrimp cocktail, which came with 11 jumbo shrimp and a cocktail sauce that had just the right amount of kick to it. They brought a small loaf of warm bread with the appetizer that was very fresh. Main course was Top Sirloin and Seared Scalllops. The steak was tender, cooked just right, (med rare) with just enough fat left on it to give it great flavor. The scallops were medium sized, (6), served with drawn butter and cooked well. Mixed sautéed vegetables rounded out the meal, with a nice dinner salad beforehand. Overall a good dining experience with good service. I will be back again. read more

This is a very rare review for me since I go out of my way to not support religious institutions, but I was craving meat and decided to give it a go. I ordered the Tuesday lunch special - tri tip with cheesy potatoes, salad, and garlic bread ($9.99!). When it came out, I tried the tri tip without the au jus and was very surprised at how wonderfully it was seasoned. The meat was flavorful and tender and the cheesy potatoes were delicious. The "salad" was romaine lettuce with dressing - nothing to write home about. The small garlic bread was ok, but the tri tip and potatoes definitely took center stage. Afterwards, I ordered a fancy coffee drink at the front counter and it was also delicious. Both servers were kind and efficient. A couple things to note, they do not serve booze, but they do sell fresh juices and smoothies. I will definitely be coming back if I'm ever in El Centro. read more
