Haven't been here for awhile. I'm not sure what's happened but it wasn't great today and service was spotty. Took forever to get our food and kitchen staff seemed to be arguing with wait staff. We weren't impressed. The ranch was literally the consistency of milk. Mac and cheese bites were undercooked and not nicely browned. Salad bar was mediocre. First time dining here. The food was okay, what you would typically expect from a bar n grill. They had live band playing. The establishment is very spacious, offering outdoor, indoor, and or bar seating. They have a section upstairs. I didn't go up there. They also have a clean small salad bar. We enjoy wood fired pizza and has been told about this place so we made a Saturday afternoon trip. The pizza was crispy and the Alfredo sauce was creamy but not very much on it. We stopped into Bricks and Brews while on our Route 66 trip, to grab some lunch. They have beers on tap, a bunch of TVs if you're interested in catching a sporting event, and a pretty decent pizza menu. We were the only people in there in mid afternoon. We ordered a large cheese pizza to share and a beer, each. The pizza came out surprisingly quickly and was not burnt at all contrary to some other reviews on here. It wasn't the best pizza I've ever had but it was tasty and crisp and better than I would expect for Kansas. The bathrooms also have really interesting decor. I'm glad we stopped in. read more

First I will say that the experience overall was great and we will be back many times. Can't believe it took us this long to try this place!! We both love wood-fired pizza and this did not disappoint. Thin crust, blistered dark patches...fully crisp bottom...just awesome!! With that said, we ordered two large pizzas with the intent of trying four of their specialties (they do 1/2 and 1/2's). We got a 1/2 Fire in the Mountain 1/2 Margarita and a 1/2 Voodoo Child and 1/2 something I can't remember the name of. It was the same as Voodoo Child, minus the hot honey and plus homemade meatballs and roasted red peppers. The best by far was the Voodoo Child. This surprised us because it's basically just pepperoni and salami. But...the fresh basil (needed more), parmesan and hot honey truly take it to next level pizza. Very, very good!!! I wish I could remember the name of the other half of our Voodoo Child. It was pepperoni, salami, meatball, basil and roasted red pepper. The homemade meatballs were totally awesome but we probably won't order this one again as the Voodoo Child was similar and just better to us. A favorite of ours though is a meatball, ricotta, garlic, onion pizza. I didn't notice if they have ricotta but if so that is going to be a custom pizza on our next order because their meatballs are excellent! Regarding our second pizza...the margarita was disappointing. Too much sauce and it wasn't a fresh, bright tomato sauce that best serves a margarita pizza. That would have been overlooked but then there was not enough basil, and the fresh mozzarella was NOT melted. Sooo...not our fav. It would be better ordered as a whole pizza if that gets the fresh mozzarella fully melted as I see in other pics here in reviews. Margarita is one of our favorite pizzas and one we make at home regularly. A brighter sauce, more fresh basil and fully melted cheese, on their phenomenal wood-fired crust would be hard to beat!! On to The Fire on the Mountain.... This one disappointed the most. Chicken, bacon, itialian sausage, tomato and jalapeño on Alfredo sauce sounds soooo good. The Alfredo was great. The itialian sausage was great. Too many places have greasy little eraser size balls of cheap itialian sausage and those are the places we will never return to. This was NOT that. The itialian sausage was great. Very flavorful, not greasy and not preformed "balls". The Alfredo and itialian sausage was the best part of this pizza though. The chicken was very good, but chopped too fine. It didn't stand up to the itialian sausage...needed to be bigger pieces thinly sliced. Next...the tomato was sorely lacking. We expected a fair amount of diced fresh tomato but got a few pieces of halved grape tomatoes. They added absolutely nothing in terms of flavor. And then the jalapeños. They were fine. Just fine. Pickled jalapeños and enough of them. We expect pickled jalapeños from Pizza Hut, Dominoes, Woodshed, Casey's... But on a wood-fired pizza...fresh jalapeño would have been soooo much better! So, I've given a lot of constructive criticism here. I don't want to end with anyone thinking I don't recommend this place. I (we) most certainly do!!! We will return many times and look forward to trying a good part of their menu. I simply hope their management sees this review and makes improvements. This however is a phenomenal wood-fired pizza as it is and we highly recommend it! And lastly, when our server came to take our drink order she asked if we knew what we wanted and I said "beer". LOL. I mean...it is Bricks and Brews... Unfortunately she had to tell us that something was wrong with their beer fizzer, or something like that, but they were working on it. We got water and she promised to let us know the second beer was available, if it happened while we were there. She also pointed out that a party of eight had been seated just after us and did we want to put our food order in first, which we said "YES PLEASE" so she came back to us before taking their food order. Very much appreciated as it was just us two. And...she came back a few minutes later to let us know beer was back on tap. She was friendly, informative and pretty dang awesome not only to us but her other tables that we were close to. We highly recommend Bricks and Brews, even with the constructive criticism mentioned here. We will return over and over and thank them for a great wood-fired experience! read more

was a good customer always gave a tip, they served me a takeout pizza that stunk. it had spoiled sausage. made me sick for two days. told the manager and it seemed like he didnt even care. will never go back there again. they are no reason to give customers rotten food. someday someone will call and report them BEWARE of this place. read more

This place was not for us. The positive....the beer was cold. Then we ordered Ravioli's as an appetizer. They came out burnt. Children were running around which typically doesn't bother us but this was stimulate overload. We asked for the check and left. We took a detour to visit this awesome place after a friend's recommendation. As we walked through the door we were greeted by Bree who welcomed us and made us feel at home. We opted for sandwiches and a to go pizza. Everything was incredibly delicious!! We are looking forward to our next trip and another detour for some fabulous eats! However by the name I was thinking they had a bigger beer selection but I'm not going to lower a rating just for that. My second time here, first time was six months ago had great food and great service. Tonight (9/24/2022) not so much. I ordered stuffed mushrooms and waitress asked if I wanted to order dinner. I told her as long my mushrooms didn't come out before my pizza. Yep they did. I hate getting an appetizer after my meal. We order a draft beer, first one in a glass, second one in a plastic cup. We have been here for lunch several times. The pizza buffet is very good with a nice variety of pizza. Lately we have been getting the soup and salad lunch. The homemade soups are delicious. The portions of soup and salad are generous. This makes a very good winter's day meal. read more

While back home for Christmas we stopped in for the pizza lunch buffet, so we could try several different types. All the pizzas we tried were very good, with the Fire on the Mountain being the best they had that day. The s'mores dessert pizza was meh, Graham cracker crumbs on pizza dough with mini marshmallows and chocolate drizzle. Maybe spread chocolate sauce on the dough, then the crumbs and marshmallows and drizzle on top. Didn't try the beers but the tap list was decent, with several local breweries. The decor is pretty cool, with nice space upstairs. Baxter has a good thing going in this place, so I hope word gets out so that even out-of-owners will come and eat and drink. read more

Horrible No wind break for the howling KS wind on the patio in the shadeless industrial parking lot location. Nobody worries about repeat business on Rt 66. Burned dessert pizza (could have been better) and then was served an undercooked pizza with surprisingly good quality ingredients. A rarity since cheap ingredients and minimum wage keeps pizza profitable. Staff has zero idea and no training on the good equipment. Apparently, new is all its got. Wobbly tables and I'm uncertain if the staff has ever had a decent pizza and are only bringing their arms and legs to work to serve the same local demographics. You would have had to plan to lose money like this so maybe this place is supposed to fail or is simply a roadhouse and events venue. The art guitars and the build out was better than expected. Lose the fry baskets for salads, good quality clean salads but hard to not fall off the wobbly tables when actually trying to eat something. I could do a buffet here when there's a manager to run the place and check the table temperatures so I might not get sick if not catch cold from the savage air-conditioning. read more

Not going to lie, I downloaded yelp to give these guys a review bc of how good my experience was. Amazing food, awesome atmosphere, and even better staff. The lady that helped me was very helpful, since I had never been there before, and helped me get something that I will most definitely be coming back for. I showed up with no clue what to get and walked out of there with an awesome pizza, and an even better interaction with the staff in just about 10 minutes, when they say hot and fresh, it was hotter fresher and faster than anywhere else i've been. Very personable nice people and just a great place to eat. I highly recommend. My friends and I will for sure be coming back very soon:) read more

TERRIBLE!!!!! Pizza crust WAY BURNT!!!!! Ate 2 pieces and an hour later I still have that BURNT taste in mouth. Server said " that's just the way they come out every now and then ". Bricks and Brews is such a unique experience and true one of a kind treasure. The staff was friendly and inviting and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The lunch buffet had several great options to choose from; BBQ Chicken was excellent! Salad and sandwiches were an option as well. To finish it off we had the "S'more than a feeling" desert pizza which was amazing! We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend making the trip down Route 66 to this gem! read more
