The problem with this place is not the clothes or even the high prices. The problem is with the…read moreowner and her arrogant and disrespectful attitude. For a business owner, she does not even know the first thing when it comes to customer service. Our initial interaction with her was pleasant, however she would always arrive at the store later than scheduled. This is something we put up with, with minimal frustration. The real problem we had with her is her treatment of us, her customers. When we custom ordered my wedding dress, she was there for the whole process. I picked out a dress which consists of a short gown and a long skirt and shawl. Along with this, I requested matching pants, so I could move more easily during the reception. She obliged, wrote it on my invoice and said it would be absolutely no problem. She included this in the price (nowhere on the invoice does it indicate that it was complimentary). The dress only came the week before the wedding, and needed alterations which she did on time. However, the pants did not arrive with the dress. When we inquired about the pants, she said they would arrive next month. This wasn't acceptable since the event was in one week. So it is HER job to provide a suitable alternative. She gave me some pants to try on, none of which were in the right color, nor did they fit. She said to come back during the week before the event to pick up some additional pants to try on. My mother contacted her the day before the second pickup, 9:30 at night, regarding the status of the pants. My mother had picked up some pants that day and none of those fit, so she wanted to inquire about what alternatives there were. The owner did not respond. The next morning, my mother wrote to her again (around 11 AM) and expressed her disappointment and frustration with the owner's lack of customer service. The owner responded(after an hour) saying "she doesn't work after 8 PM". As a business owner, who gave her personal number to my mother so she could be contacted at any time that is not right. My mother went to pick up the pants and when she went there she could tell immediately that the pants were NOT going to fit. She was pulling them out of the dresses that were in the store. When my Mom said that the pants were not going to fit to the sales lady, the owner proceeded to interject and yell at my mother in front of other customers. She repeatedly said to my mother, in front of others, that she was "giving us the pants for free" which was not true because she did not write that on the invoice. On top of that she proceeded to say "All you Desis are just like this" which is a racist comment, because we are Indian, that she made towards my mother. My mother told the owner she was very unprofessional and for the amount of money we paid for the dress ($2300), that another $100 would not have made a difference and the she should treat her customers fairly and not make racist and disrespectful comments about them in front of other customers. This woman has no respect for others, and will openly bash you in front of her other customers without blinking an eye. This is totally unacceptable for someone who is supposed to be catering to Brides. This caused so much unnecessary stress the days leading up to my wedding reception. The next day, we found a suitable pants for $30 at another vendor- we returned all of the duds she gave, back to her and we will never go here again or recommend her to anybody. I personally, confronted her over text and told her she had to apologize to my mother directly for how she put her down and disrespected her in front of others. She never apologized to my mother directly. If you want to support a racist, rude and unprofessional person, please go ahead and shop here.

Antonio made entire experience fun and easy. He even customized my dress to make it more "me". Antonio, the designer, was also great to work with throughout the entire process. Larry was very accommodating in scheduling my appointments. Absolutely love my dress. The style, fabric and attention to detail were gorgeous! The train was beautiful, the bustle was great - and looked awesome when dancing - and I never had one concern about the strapless giving out on me.

Being a delicate and heavily embroidered piece, Zahavi was very professional on how to be able to take in this piece without ruining the embellishments and design. She was able to talk me through the process and be able to give me so much confidence that it would turn out amazing. I had two dresses and a jumpsuit altered for my wedding and could not have been more pleased. I visited numerous tailors and did my due diligence before having Zahava work on my garments. She even went over and beyond and consulted on what kind of undergarments would look best with each piece. One of the dresses I had altered was 100% silk and I was apprehensive about anyone altering the gown, however Zahava did a phenomenal job. She makes qipao!!! I…read morewanted a qipao to change into at my reception, and I found Kelima! She gave me a whole new experience of custom-made dresses and I enjoyed the process of making my qipao come true. When designing a dress (or any design for that matter), a great designer who understands your vision is a must. I came to her with an idea and inspiration, she delivered. I wanted a qipao that has the traditional concept but a modern twist (or 1950's Hong Kong, or In the Mood for Love), with the capability to allow me dance all night (oh I do!). From picking the fabric, measuring, sketching, fittings, and making changes, she helped me see my vision through her magic. I absolutely love the final product (and I got compliments from friends and family). My husband loves the qipao on me. Something about Kelima that I just feel so drawn to - she is soft-spoken, she is graceful in her demeanor, and she is just so crafty. Her designs are just dreamy, romantic, and feminine that will make any bride feel like a bride that walks out of a story book. She is not pushy (to sell you her ideas), but she has her way to make you see that she is right about the dress she is making for you. All you have to do is, enjoy the process and leave everything to her. We share the same love for tea so it's always a treat sipping on the tea when trying on my dress (and looking at myself in the mirrow). I almost always got to carried away at my appointments because we just kept talking and talking. I didn't fly to TW or China for my qipoa. Instead, I found Kelima here in the city. I got exactly what I was there for and I got an experience of a life time.

Kelima was kind enough to talk us through some of the summer dresses at the store, but was sad she didn't have her size. Kelima said it'd take about a month and would call me when it was ready. With a special Opera Ball we are readying to attend at the end of Sept. we looked at a few dresses and went through the process for custom designing her own gown - a one of a kind design and gown. Next month should be very interesting... and you can bet your bottom dollar my girl's going to have an amazing gown and hands down, I think we found our designer! The fabrics used were sumptuous, elegant and begged to be looked at and touched. We even saw a dress being finalized that was made of a material you wouldn't dream of, yet, was absolutely breathtaking... For exceptional service, quality and attention to detail, i absolutely recommend you see Kelima; and while I wasn't "allowed" to look at any of the bridal-wear, I can only imagine how amazing they all look.
