I would strongly encourage parents to do thorough research before considering this school…read more In our experience, leadership has created an environment where concerns raised by parents, students, and even staff members are often dismissed rather than addressed. The director frequently shifts blame instead of taking accountability, creating a culture that feels manipulative and unproductive. Staff turnover appears to be very high, which raises serious concerns about internal leadership and overall stability within the school. When it comes to student progress, there seems to be little willingness to evaluate whether the school's teaching methods or support systems are effective. Instead, concerns about a child not advancing academically are quickly attributed to the child's learning disabilities, rather than examining whether the school is providing the proper resources and accommodations needed for success. What is most concerning is the apparent inconsistency in how bullying situations are handled. In situations where certain families appear to have influence within the school community, concerns can be minimized or ignored altogether. In our case, serious concerns involving bullying were dismissed with the message that "nothing really happened," leaving us feeling unheard and unsupported. A school should be a place where students feel safe, supported, and given every opportunity to succeed. Unfortunately, our experience did not reflect those values.

For more than 22 years, we have been providing children from 16 months through 8th grade with an alternative to more traditional schools. Our goal is to create a learning environment that meets the needs of each child. We do so by following the philosophy and methods developed by Dr. Maria Montessori throughout the child’s early years and continue to leverage those concepts during the child’s middle school years.

Head teacher and owner of the school Preethy has inappropriate and unprofessional communication…read morewith parents. Treats the classroom like a black box and withholds information from parents to keep control. Cruel and cold hearted person many parents talk about her poor behavior and communication and simply put up with it because their child is being taken care of however I would urge you to ask to talk to other parents in the community before committing to the school. Your child might be taken care of well but thats doesn't mean you won't have problems with the administration who runs it. Many parents complain about her inappropriate communication and strong opinions on how to parents and raise their kids. Over the years many parents have left or she has dismissed the students without any notice or logical reason, many reasons not due to safety or behavior but because she wanted too. Very little checks and balances at the school. Many working families left to scramble and find childcare because she simply decided you don't belong there any more. Good luck working with someone with a low emotional intelligence and level of compassion.

We tried another "Montessori" daycare (not accredited) with our oldest child and were very disappointed. We've been so happy to have our youngest at Little Flowers. He is writing his name already, on his own. There are a lot of choices for childcare in Maple Grove, but I feel so passionately about the staff that support and pour love and knowledge into my child. My youngest is starting next month and I have no hesitations on sending him based on the support and leadership of the directors and the teachers. The staff are all supportive of my child, and if there are issues with my son, they are direct and collaborative on ways to make things better. We feel in the loop on what goes on day to day, and love the engaging and enriching activities that they spend hours planning. The pre-school classes go on field trips, which are so fun! If I had more children, Radiant would be my first (and only) choice.

There are many strong and passionate teachers and staff that treat our children like family. They are direct and solutions-oriented when we run into any issues with our children's behavior or classroom experiences, and always open for feedback. The recent ownership change has equipped them with many new tools and resources for students and families. I would send all my kids through Radiant again and again.

We feel incredibly blessed to have found Kinderhaus Montessori through some internet research a few…read moremonths ago and perhaps I can shorten your path to a great school with an endorsement as a parent. If you are reading this review you may be wondering (just like we were) about the best place for your child to begin their education. What do you look for? Will your child feel comfortable and welcome ? What can you expect from a Montessori education? This school had everything we were looking for and more. They offer morning and afternoon sessions and they offer both 3-day and 5-day programs. The class sizes are small and social and you likely won't find more caring and passionate educators than Miss Nora and Miss Susan. Plus, the tuition is affordable and some assistance is available. We are almost done with our son's first year and we are planning to enroll him for a second year in the fall. Our daughter will be going there, too - no doubt in my mind. You should know that this is a small school with a close-knit connection between children, teachers and parents and they ask for parents to play an active role in the school if you can spare the time. This isn't the "drop your kid off in the parking lot" kind of place and we love how our son has blossomed in the quiet and challenging environment under the Montessori philosophy practiced at Kinderhaus Montessori. I urge you to take a tour and see for yourself.
