So pissed, I booked a room through www.Expedia.com in Toledo at the Bridgepoint Inn & Suites. The first room was not cleaned and smelled of mildew and wetness. The second room had dirty towels in the bathroom and cigarette burns and holes in the comforter same smell. I booked a NON-SMOKING room. The third room shown was of a fellow guest who checked in at the same time. Trash EVERYWHERE! UNEXCEPTABLE on so many levels. The hotel clerk had the nerve to ask us (me and the other patron) if we wanted another room. We looked at each other and said NO! REFUND NOW! 3 STRIKES we are out. He was unfazed and looked like he didn't understand why we wanted to leave. This made me so mad, I drove home. I couldn't even concentrate on locating another room at 4pm. This was the worst hotel I stayed at in my life. The room was dirty and looked very worn. Everything was worn. From the pictures you can even tell the mattress needed to be replaced years ago and the repairs to make it look decent would not have taken much to do. The staff was friendly, the lobby was somewhat clean. The pool was unavailable for some reason. As far as the room where to begin... I will let the pictures speak for it. But not the wear and tear on most all the furniture. The room was not vacuumed that is the pictures of the carpeting. The shower head needed replaced as it sprayed every direction but toward your body. The price was good but I have stayed and did end up going somewhere else for a few dollars more for the rest of my stay in Toledo. STAY HERE IF YOU LIKE LIVING DANGEROUSLY. THEY HAVE BED BUGS! I stayed here before and didn't have a problem. However, during this stay, we were greeted by a bud beg! When we contacted the front desk, he came to the room and when we showed him the bug, he picked it up with his hand as if it was a family pet. When I asked for a refund, I was advised to speak with Miss Mae. Whenever I called, this manager was never on site, nor did they call me back. The front desk receptionist called me 3 days later to offer a $10.00 credit. $10.00 CANT EVEN PAY FOR A PROFESSIONAL CAN OF PRODUCT TO ELIMINATE THESE BUGS. It looked decent from outside. Parking was a little rundown. Maybe needs new strips to see where spots are. Check in was nice- no issues. Came to our room at a late check in. It looked nice minus the making of the beds were very sloppy. Took this as an advantage to check for bedbugs. I was nervous about that since I saw some of the reviews. We checked both beds and didn't find anything. They were comfortable but pillows sucked. Had to use the other beds pillows in addition to ours. Bathroom was just okay. Floors need renovating, lots of cracks. There were some pubic hairs in the bathtub. Throughout the night and morning more random hairs were found. Along with some stains on the bed. Seems like the maids don't clean well. Upon waking up I was bit by something which I noticed in the bathroom. Went back to bed and checked for bugs but didn't find anything. Took this as my key to start my day. Breakfast was just ok. Biscuits and gravy were the only choice of hot breakfast and biscuits were hard. Not much of a selection. Overall it was an okay room. Better than I expected for the price and previous reviews. Microwave and fridge is a plus. Seems only problem was that they need to clean once in a while. read more

This hotel is dirty! It has broken furniture, lights with no bulbs. Sheets and pillows are ripped and stained. They didn't even bother to actually look at our booked room to save it for us. So guess what. We had to get a different room and we had to pay pay an extra $10 for a king bed and non smoking. We couldn't even get a refund so we could go stay somewhere else. Whew, there is really nothing appealing about this place. Rooms are moderately clean with the beds looking like they were made by my 5 year old. Threadbare towels and worn furniture. And the beds/mattresses are ancient. Even with the bedspread on you could see the large dip in the middle of the bed. Sleep was hard to come by. I wish in retrospect that I didn't take off my shoes. Breakfast was standard hotel fare, no eggs but a waffle iron. Pool was mediocre, pretty small, 5 ft depth, but totally over chlorinated... But from a public health perspective that's probably not a bad thing. Jacuzzi is also a bit questionable. Carpet in hallway is also trance inducing ... Staff were friendly but a bit apathetic.... Like no matter what they did it wouldn't get better. Also a bit pricy for the condition. Recommend you pass on this place read more

Northwood bridge pointe inn and suites was just what I needed after a long day of travel. Easy check in, friendly staff, and a professional atmosphere made my stay perfectly enjoyable. Indoor pool and hot tub after a long day? Yes please. I stayed in a double suite. The room was just the right size. Not too spacious, and not too small. Just enough space. The sheets and towels were all clean and the room smelled fine. The breakfast in the morning was quite edible! My only complaint would be the wifi was rather slow. I really was disappointed with my stay here. It wasn't horribly dirty but you could tell that cleaning wasn't a top priority. But first I would like to point out that the staff (excluding one) was very rude. No smiles at all. Got into the room and noticed thick layer of dust on the desk chair. Cigarette burns all over the tub in a non smoking room. Dust on everything, brown stains on the comforter, the pillows were the cheapest thungs ever. It was advertised as 140 room on weekday special for 56 bucks. Yea right some false advertisement there. We didn't take off our shoes slept on top of everyrhing with our own bedding. For the price this hotel has more to offer than most. Indoor pool and Hot-tub, free breakfast and free wi-fi make it hard to compete with. There are plenty of pizza delivery options and Arby's is within walking distance. The manager Casandra and the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The property is close to the comedy club, casino, and Downtown Toledo which made this location a plus for me. read more

Great value! I recently stayed here during a business trip. It was located right off I-75, next to a Jimmy John's. My suite had great water pressure, free wifi, good pillows, a microwave, and was very quiet. I was able to sleep in, and I'm a light sleeper. They offer bananas at the front desk. Very over ripe. Upon check out the front desk guy was dressed in ripped jeans and a dirty shirt. Never have I felt like I was bothering someone so much. Hotel room was not very spacious, but did have both a fridge and a microwave and seemed relatively clean. Despite being a non-smoking room, our room still smelled of smoke, even after opening the windows and airing out the room. So I decided to take my kids, along with my sister's and their kids to a hotel with a pool (cheaper than a water park, but kids can still have fun). I was online and at www.booking.com found a descent rate for 2 rooms at the BridgePointe Hotel (on Oregon Road, near Wales- in Northwood, Ohio) I checked in at about 5:30p and got the kids ready to go to the pool- to be told pool was closed bc someone got sick- will reopen at 9:00p. Circumstances beyond anyone's control- I understand.. So we go back up, eat and at 7:30p - kids can swim.. We had room 203- heat didn't work in there. So we were moved to 204- and when I got in there I found trash in my room, bedding with a females make-up all over it still, urine stains, human blood on sheets and bedding and mattress-food crumbs in between the sheets. On the chair to sit at the desk was what appeared to be dried up blood and lettuce that was never cleaned? Found an oatmeal cream pie on the floor, so clearly my bedding was not ever changed nor was my room cleaned and inspected. I am not sure what kind of person is running a business of this kind- I tried to call and talk to the owner (whose name is Merchant), but the girl answering the phone said " I will get in trouble if I hand him the phone". My money was refunded, but NOT ONE PERSON from management has bothered to call me, take my call or return my call of such concern until 1 week later AFTER I posted a public post with 22 pics of how disgusting my room was. - Called the Ohio State Fire Marshall and this is what they said: From State Fire Marshall: Inspection Inspected both rooms 204 and 203. Heater worked as designed in room 203 without incident. Room 204 both beds have multiple stains on both the mattress and linens. Gheeerossss. Cigarette burns and what may have been remnants of death on the beds; disgusting reminders of previous life forms behind nightstand; toilet was ready for the dna sample kit. Pool was closed; elevator shook; we could barely even look at the "breakfast" before we escaped to find human food. The hallways were filled with deviltry throughout the night as it appeared that hotel security was as depressed as everyone who has everyone who has ever stayed here. This isn't the Ritz-Carlton, but it's just fine for the price. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It has a hot tub and indoor pool. It's located near the freeway. A few restaurants are within walking distance. Downtown Toledo is a short drive away, as is the mall. The free WiFi is a negative. It's extremely slow, when it works. read more

I made this reservation on May 18th, I was called the day before (7/16) my reservation by a man named John informing me they gave my room away. He said he would offer me a two double bed room in place of my king suite for no additional charge. When I told him we were going away for my boyfriends birthday I didn't want two double beds he said "ma'am you don't have to sleep in both beds". I informed him we have a queen at home we barley fit in I wanted the king I booked. He told me not to be condensing but he didn't even have to call me and tell me they gave my room away. I told him to cancel the reservation at 1330 on 7/16. I also cancelled it online at the same time. On Saturday I looked at my bank statement to find that they took a no show fee of $70.00 out of my account. We called on Saturday and were told the manager would call us back the next day. It's now Monday at 1600 we have been on hold for over an hour. We were told the that there was a cancelation in the system for our room but that John never cancelled it. The manager was supposed to be in today at nine. We called at ten to be told she would be in at eleven. Called at one and she was not there yet. Now we have been on hold. This change made our uber bill three times what it should have been because the only room available was double the charge of this room due to late notice and a golf tour and four girls soft ball teams in town. read more
