Customer service is hit and miss based on who you interact with but it was a good stay and no real complaints. Overall a good stay and I would definitely stay here again and would recommend the hotel if in the area. Upon check-in there was no acknowledgement or thanks for being a member of Hilton Honors. The Hilton Hotels are usually on top of this. Regardless of status level other hotels are great at acknowledging and expressing appreciation. We were offered a snack and a bottled water though. During the stay the staff did a good job managing the craziness of tons of kids in the hotel running around. I think there was some kind of sporting match. The kids destroyed breakfast but the staff kept up and reset quickly. I was impressed. Most of the overall staff were exceptional and some were mediocre. Sunday night the front desk clerk hid out in the office and was never stationed out front. The rest of the stay the front desk was fantastic. In regards to COVID safety, I don't believe I saw one employee wearing a mask the entire stay. It appeared to be a Toledo Ohio thing as that region was lacking masks in restaurants and other venues too but with Hilton Standards it would have thought the hotel would have been better. The Hotel is clean and the room was spacious. The beds were really comfortable but the walls were a little thin and you could hear the TV and neighborhoods in their bathroom. I did notice a lot of little things like no conditioner in the room and the white bathroom walls were slightly dirty and could have used some bleach. The hotel has some slight wear and tear but was really nice and I am just being overly picky. The hotel has all the comforts starting with a guest laundry room on the second floor. There is an indoor pool and whirlpool. There is a little business center, fitness center, and snack shop. I thought the price point was a little high but good area and an exit or two away from downtown. I needed a late checkout Monday and the manager (Andy) was more than accommodating. It helped to take some stress away from a late morning/early afternoon virtual meeting I needed to attend. That was the only time during the stay that I really felt the value of being a Hilton Honors member but that was never acknowledged. Not sure it needed to be but the courtesy and professionalism of that made the stay. Oh, and I will close the review out by saying they have the nicest stairways I have ever seen. Make sure to check those out.

No towels in my bathroom at check-in. Uncleaned (un-vacuumed room) at checkin-in. Rotten breakfast food. Apathetic staff and management. Perfect recipe for a lousy hotel stay.

    Front check in...where is everyone?

Staying at this Hampton as my Marriott is booked solid. The hotel is okay but I have to say I am a little surprised. The staff must be wearing dual hats or super busy as I stood at the desk doe more than 5 and then sat in a chair and watched and no one came out. Three people walked in through front door and walked into hotel and still nothing. A little concerning in today's world and security. Also, I noticed pieces of the elevator are being held together with black duct tape! Yes...duct tape.

Very clean rooms and super friendly hotel staff! Breakfast was a step above the average breakfast with their selections.

As a…read moreconvenient, quiet place for business or pleasure (obviously they're not trying to be a luxury resort) it serves its customers well. The pros: 1. Super friendly staff: Check-in was a breeze, and the fresh-baked cookies and cold bottled water were a nice extra. 2. Clean, quiet and comfortable: My room was clean and the unit was very quiet. Except for an occasional door closing across the hall, I didn't hear anything. Also, desk had a nice chair, bed was comfy with plenty of blankets and pillows with differing firmness (and they were marked, too). 3. Great breakfast buffet: the morning meal options are great, and a dedicated staff member keeps the food hot, the counters clean and the options flowing. 4. Easy access to the free wifi, and it was actually pretty fast. Some places offer free wifi, but the speed is like dial-up -- not here. 5. After I checked out, I realized I had left a personal item behind. One quick call and they happily mailed this item back to me. Seriously, if you need a nice place to stay in the Toledo area, give this HIE a shot, you won't be disappointed. I will definitely stay there again next time business takes me to Toledo.

I'm glad this is the place we came upon. The hotel appears to be very recently remodeled. It's squeaky clean and our room was in great shape - clean, modern, no weird smells or stains or anything like that. The bed was very comfortable and we got a great night's sleep. There were several fluffy pillows on the bed as well. This hotel offers free wi-fi and the signal was actually really good in our room. They also offer breakfast downstairs between 6-10am which is a nice wide time frame to accommodate people who need to get on the road and people who prefer to sleep in a bit. The breakfast area had a lot of variety - cereals, fruits, and pastries (normal continental stuff), but also a hot buffet that included some ham and eggs (whites only or whole). They also had a fridge with assorted yogurts as well as hard boiled eggs. Oh and there was a waffle iron as well. The staff we interacted with were very pleasant and friendly. The night clerk was very helpful when we checked in - very personable and nice. Same goes with the clerk who checked us out. No complaints at all. I'd definitely stay here again if in the area.

I like that they are dog friendly (although it is +$25 per night). There is easy grass area around the parking lot to walk my dog. Several nearbyy places to eat. My rooms with 2 queen beds also had a microwave & fridge, side chair, dining table with 2 chairs, and desk with a chair, $95 after all the taxes (+ dog fee). In the morning, they had coffee/tea, cereal, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, and fruits. I had interactions with check in, check out, and housecleaning staff, and all were very nice. #ReviewsByRL

The Innkeeper, Tim, was very friendly and extremely knowledgable about the house, its restoration, and everything in-between. From its 13'7" ceilings to the giant 12' high doors to the hardwood floors it literally felt like stepping back in time. Most of the house had been renovated with a beautiful blend of new and old, giving it a neuveux riche feel. We stayed in the Grand Suite, which was larger than nearly any hotel suite we've ever been in. It had a comfy king size bed, a giant armoire, a small couch and a small table for intimate dining in your room. The attached bathroom was equally as impressive with a giant 6 foot tub and a large walk in shower with two shower heads. We had the house to ourselves and were made to feel at home by the Innkeeper Tim. He made us breakfast in the morning in the kitchen, which was newly renovated with beautiful stainless steel appliances and marble counter tops. Tim made us more food than we could eat (a four course breakfast!) and just put the cherry on the top of our visit. We can't wait to visit again. This hidden gem is a must visit if you're in the Toledo, Ohio area!

While the food, furnishings, and architecture were top notch, a few fundamental items of a hotel/B&B were quite poor: the staff, the heating, and the water pressure. First, the staff gave me an eerie, unpleasant feeling, overall. For example, I was pressured to leave the house while I was waiting for my ride, after I had checked out. I was just in the lobby for about 15 min. Next, during my stay in mid-December, the rooms were cold and the two electric heaters in the room, supplementing the radiators, did not do the trick. Finally, the water pressure in the shower was among the lowest I have ever experienced, ever. If you have ever seen that Seinfeld episode, it was like that. Thus, two stars.
