I called today (03/12) and spoke with Heather to request an auto insurance quote on a different vehicle. We were on the phone for 37 minutes. She went through and explained each itemized option/add-on and also informed me of a few ways to be rewarded with discounts. In the end, I was given time to think about each option/add-on and explained thoroughly the benefits. Heather was thorough, patient, and genuinely a relatable people-person. Mostly because as a Vietnamese I always try to find chances to support our people's businesses whenever I came. I have to say it was the best choice I made. The entire office was so nice and professional, that include Linda and her brother, Peter, and Edith. For all the time I was with them, I always had the best quotes and best care. It feels like a family rather than an insurance company where we have to be vigilant and often get ripped off. I also want to compliment State Farm for the same reason. They reached out to me when I had a small fender bender and didn't pay attention to the accident besides my safety. They took care of everything so professionally and fast that I couldn't believe it. I moved around a little bit in town, and whenever I reported the new addresses, they would cut me a check for deduction if that place is a bit cheaper. That's so moving! Now I have permanently relocated to Pearland, I had to leave Linda Nguyen and State Farm for a local agency and a different company with regrets. Simply because State Farm doesn't really cover home insurance in Pearland and I wanted to bundle everything under one company for good reasons. And even when the new company neglected to send the cancellation to them, Edith at Linda Nguyen graciously helped me get the full refund with no question asked. More recently, the customer service is terrible. They rarely answer the phone during business hours and are very slow to respond to emails. I am buying a home and they apparently won't provide homeowners insurance inside the loop. That is a State Farm decision so I can't fault this office. They have made it very difficult to cancel the auto policy since they take so long to respond to phone messages or emails. A few days ago, I called and a woman actually answered so I could confirm I was buying a house April 16 and was changing my auto insurance to the same carrier who was providing homeowners coverage. I never got written confirmation so I sent an email to make certain they were taking care of it. BTW I am owed a 5.5 month refund. I got an extremely unpleasant email from Denise Legarde stating they were stopping the car insurance a day before I asked. When I responded questioning the timing (and forwarded the email which clearly stated my wish for both the auto and renters policies), she didn't admit her error or apologize for the tone. i don't appreciate rudeness but errors can't be tolerated. State Farm is fine but not this office. Find someone else who appreciates your business.
