Love Dr Buchanan and her staff! Easy to make appointments, never have to wait, and very good with our dog Sergio.

I took my two Great Pyrenees in for suspected Kennel Cough on a Saturday, un-announced. The staff…read morewas more than kind, extremely professional and treated both of them. After the Veterinarian had physically examined them, she opined that we had caught it early enough to forego chest x-rays if we were comfortable going that route. The entire situation had put us at ease, and we opted for just treatment. It went exactly as they described and both were healthy and well within ten days. Animal Hospital of Montgomery CARES, not just a financial transaction for them; I recommend you give them a try! My experience was amazing! TEN STARS

I had was satisfied with the main veterinarian for surgeries on both a rescue dog ($3k+) for a polyp, even though after paying fora biopsy I had to aggressively pursue the results. Soon afterwards my 2 year old cat suddenly had hip issues and they did surgery (another I then $2k+) and told me that should fix the issue. 3 months later my baby is in pain again and can't walk. I take him back and it's his other hip and now they want to charge me $400 more from the 3 months prior. i argue and they reduce to the last but insist I leave my boy after surgery, which I hadn't done with the previous surgery. Now during that time, a Beautiful, sweet, orange and white male tabby (Malcolm) was abandoned on my property and needed medical attention. Please keep in mind if already spent thousands of dollars. Now I'm seeing random vets everytime I go. I was dismissed when I said there was an issue with a with a cough. I insisted on helping this little guy and they gave a 2 day injection. This was a 1-1/2 year old boy. When he was losing weight I brought him back and then this vet I had never met says my purring constantly boy has pneumonia. She insists I leave him there indefinitely for oxygen treatment, which I refused and took him home with antibiotics and a humidifier. Long story short, after 3 X-rays, 5 different antibiotics, without improvement, I waited for the main doctor who scheduled an ECHOCARDIOGRAM after his exam, determined he had an enlarged heart with fluid around it. Terminal he said, but would I like to take him for more torture to cardiologist....? Of course I declined. My beautiful boy died in my arms after the three months of torture they put my Malcolm through and thousands of dollars. If that wasn't enough, at the same time my little 15 year old guy in stage 2 kidney failure in a hospice situation they also saw, was pressing me to have dental surgery when he needed meds.surgery and anesthesia would probably kill him. Parting shot was when Krysten wouldn't prescribe his meds told me "if you don't like it go somewhere else" Bottom line... Maybe rabies shots or a pedicure but I wouldn't even do that. I can't even drive by that place since this all happened! My little old guy is doing great with the meds they wouldn't give him. Steer clear of this place! diagnosed my boy w

Unlike most vets, with Bethany (Dr Crellin) you are not just another number. Most vets are out to make a buck. She even sent me a sympathy card, surely one of the saddest days of my life , first time to allow my best friend, Lucky, to be in peace and not suffer any longer. As time moves on, I understand perhaps I may have let it go too long, but it does not negate the fact I miss my dog immensely. For those of you who have to ultimately make this decision, know that understanding comes in time after being upset.

She came to our home in the middle of those rain storms and flooding. She was so sweet, sympathetic and calm with us and Pete. Pete and I sat on the couch rubbing his ears and scratching his favorite places while Dr. B, my husband and I talked. She let us take our time while comforting us and letting Pete just relax. Afterwards, she was very considerate of us and Pete's body. Later she sent us a very touching sympathy card. If we had it to do over, we wouldn't change a thing about our interaction with Dr. B. If you are having to make this decision, I couldn't recommend anyone more highly than Dr Beth!
