Both were excellent and packed with flavor. The real test for me was the drive home. I live about 40 minutes away, so I didn't get to eat my sandwich right away. To my surprise, it was still warm when I got home and just as good as if I had eaten it there. That's not something you can say about most sandwiches. The fries were a pleasant surprise as well. Crispy, flavorful, and addicting enough that they barely survived the ride home. Beyond the food, I really enjoyed the shop itself. There was a great selection of specialty meats, seasonings, sauces, and unique items that made me want to take my time and look around. The place was packed, which is usually a good sign, and after trying the food, I completely understand why. It's not often that a first visit lives up to the hype, but this one did. I'd never been before and was taken about how it reminded me of the little shops before big chain supermarkets became so common.
