They have great cake at reasonable prices. Our oven is borked so I got cakes for my hubby's birthday party rather than risk disaster. My favorite so far (much to my surprise) is the marble which is perfectly balanced with a little bit of chocolate and lots of cream, but the dark chocolate mousse is nipping at its heels and I'd eat either anytime. The raspberry/mango mousse and blueberry yogurt are also good. There are several other flavors I want to try, and probably will before too long. Revisited flowers bakery to pick up a few pastries in celebration of my boyfriend and I's 5th year together. We tried the Oreo mousse, fruit tart and I didn't know but they also sell empanadas (chicken, beef and spinach). Definitely recommend anything mousse based because the texture was on point. The fruit tarts are also my favorite. I picked up 3 chicken and 3 beef empanadas for family friends but didn't try them but was told they were delicious. Service is immediate when you walk in. New favorite bakery for full cakes. They provide amazing and quick service. I went to grab a couple cakes for Ethiopian New Year and everyone loved the cakes. The Mango Mousse Cake is my absolute favorite. The Tiramisu was also loved by my family. They have two sizes - a small and a medium. A small can yield about 8 regular slices, and the medium about 12. But it all depends how you cut your cakes. This place also has other pastries and sells all their cakes by the slice! They can also write messages on their cakes. read more

My friend was hosting a cookout and told us we could bring dessert if we wanted to. How could I ever pass up that opportunity?! With my sweet tooth, come on. My friend and his wife have somehow never been, but they literally live across the street (3 minute drive) from this place and had never been. It's in a big plaza, but where the bakery itself is located, parking can get a bit tight. The door was wide open (looks like they were bringing in some inventory), and I went inside and was greeted by a beautiful display. They were a bunch on the display shelves, and they were a bunch in a refrigerator. I could see several pastries as well, and it looks like they have breakfast items too. It took me a minute to decide what I wanted, but I ultimately decided on a full tres leches cake. I couldn't help grabbing a slice of mango cheesecake on the side for myself haha. It was all less than $30 -- for somewhere that's not a chain, I was quite pleased :). Once I got to the party, we put the cake in the fridge. I sat down and ate my slice of mango cheesecake... I wish I bought a whole one of that LOL. It was so light, delicious, and refreshing. Later on, we took the tres leches cake out, and several slices were grabbed -- everyone, including myself, was quite happy! It was moist, flavorful, and the fruits on top were a nice touch. Like others have said, this place does amazing cakes at reasonable prices and has become my go-to for dessert items for events/parties. I ordered a birthday cake for a birthday dinner. Ordering was easy and they inscribed a Happy Birthday on the cake no extra charge. I opted for the "Marble" cake which has layers of white and chocolate cake and vanilla and chocolate mousse in between the layers. It's visualy stunning with the shaved white and chocolate on the outside. The cake itself is light and the perfect amount of sweetness. Everyone at the dinner absolutely loved it and several asked where it came from. (It might have been the standout of the whole dinner!) Bakery also does a range of other fruit tarts which I have also tried and have been amazing. I have not tried any of the savory items or breakfast pastry items but I imagine they are equally amazing. They offer many choices of cakes and pastry/bakery, also breakfast and coffee but not much selection. (I think their style is Latin/Spanish/American cafe) They have outdoor seating, easy to visit and park a car. I really loved this place. They make really amazing cakes and for a good price. The way that I found this place is that it is the only place I could find in any 30 minute driving radius that has black forest cake. I had to order it ahead of time and they made it within three days. While we were there, we decided to get two more cakes for other people having birthdays too, and they absolutely loved it. They said it was the best cake they ever had. You would never know this place existed since it's behind a few businesses, but once you walk in, it's really lovely and nice. 4.10.22 A colleague told me about this bakery and said it was very good so on my way home this afternoon, I decided to stop by. It's conveniently located .5 mile off the ICC. It is in a shopping center, but around the corner by the gas station. I circled once around the parking lot before I found it. There are a few designated parking spaces for the bakery in the back of the store. They have several tables inside and outside. I bought flan for myself and a slice of tres leches for my husband. The flan was on the sweeter side, which I like and would recommend it. The tres leches was just average. I like more milk on mine, essentially for it to be soaked in it. Extra milk in the container is a sign that the tres leches will be exceptionally good. My husband and I will pass on the tres leches. I picked up a Mango Torte and a Chocolate Mousse cake, both of which were simply amazing, and beautifully prepared. The chocolate mousse cake was covered in chocolate shavings, except for a medallion in the middle with "Happy Birthday" written on it. Every bite of it was delicious. The mango cake had several pieces of fruit on top as decoration. I was a little irked that the strawberries on top still had the leaves attached -- it makes it really hard to eat them as part of the cake -- but they were plucked off and eaten separately anyhow. I requested a chocolate and vanilla cake with strawberries on top for my birthday and I was so pleased with how it turned out. We had many compliments from family and friends about the flavor and quality of the cake. The workers are very polite and friendly when I visit. One challenge can be ordering on the phone, I would suggest going in to place orders. This is hands down my favorite bakery in the Silver Spring area. I got the tiramisu dessert and the cake was very airy with the frosting made from some kind of whipped cream. It had a distinct coffee taste, was well decorated and my guests enjoyed it. The young lady at the counter was short with me when I was asking her what the various flavors of the cakes were. She was so brusque that I stopped asking and tried to figure it out myself. It seemed like she had something better to do than wait on me but I'm also not sure how I am supposed to tell the flavor of some of the more generically decorated cakes when none of them are labeled.
