I accidently got one of the owners to share that the daycare is owned by 11 people that are involved in the same "spiritual organization". They shared some literature about their beliefs. The program is nondenominational. My post is to share this information, because it is not mentioned anywhere on the website, nor the reviews. The 3 stars is for lack of transparency.

The teachers and director foster the children's positive feelings of high self-esteem in order to help them overcome any difficulties they may face after the pre-school. As parents, we really appreciate this approach. The teachers' insights into the children's personalities show how much they care about what they are doing. Note: I met a former board member that knows the situation well, and she said, "Ronnie is bankrupting the nursery to support her lifestyle." Explains why every week she was on vacation in California or on some international adventure. 2) The energy is HORRIBLE esp. if you are not donating to all of their programs. They won't even greet your child when you arrive with him/her. The teachers all look exhausted, unhappy and annoyed. And they are quick to tell you what they think of every detail of your child's abilities -- mostly negative. 3.) They charge a HUGE deposit (no other preschool in the area charges like this), and BEWARE of the contract. We lost several thousand dollars for taking our son out early. It's insane. 4.) It is so tiny that in the winter the kids are all huddled together in a small space -- ALL DAY. A MUCH BETTER OPTION: World Cup Nursery School. Amazing, sweet, welcoming and your child actually learns something! Large facility as well. Plenty of room for kids to exert energy!

They went on to say my 2.5 year old son would first have to enroll (so money would need to be exchanged and contracts signed) and then (and only then) would he (and only he) be allowed into their business. I was informed that I would not under any circumstances be allowed through their doors: "We would show him around but you can't go in with him." This is not recommended behavior by any child care policy setting body in the US. It's sickening to think that this business actually thinks this is an acceptable way to introduce toddlers to day care. It's actually alarming and disgusting.

Their professionalism, communication, and responsiveness is unmatched (not only in the daycare realm, but in business and life in general). My daughter started Pied Piper when she was 2 through the summer camp. We approached Pied Piper with our concerns about her social development and from the very start we felt completely comfortable. My daughter had a rough start, as I'm sure many kids do. There was a lot of crying, but Kathy and Max communicated so well with us, helping us make a plan for drop off and keeping us informed of how her days were going, what they were doing to help her adjust and celebrating every little win! I was so grateful for the never ending patience and understanding as they let her adjust at her own pace. Before long my daughter was looking forward to "school" (camp) and we quickly signed her up for the 3s program through the school year. She had an amazing year, really finding her place at Pied Piper. We watched, really in awe, as she became so confident and outgoing. She has made so much progress both academically and socially. Pied Piper strikes a perfect balance between play and academics, giving kids a taste of structured work that will prepare them for kindergarten (activity times/music/crafts/worksheets) while still capturing the fun of childhood with plenty of playtime, outdoor time, holiday celebrations and fun. This franchise could not place my daughter in any of their other locations. Communication was not great, and the lack of empathy shocked me.
