It was a big transition for him to go from childcare at home to a preschool environment. As the weeks and months passed, I saw him blossom as he became more outgoing, made friends and found his own special place in the classroom. We continued at PoTA for the 3s program, which he absolutely loved. The teachers are incredible, there's simply no comparison. Every day he comes home to tell me about his day in great detail and cannot wait to return in the morning. The level of creativity and warmth makes this community so incredibly special, and that comes from the director, Rachel, and her team of teachers. They make every child feel like they are the focus. I am confident my son is moving into Pre-K beyond well-equipped thanks to this special place.

Our son has been in class with the same group of friends since he started and has created incredible and valuable bonds that will serve him for the rest of his life. He has an understanding of what friendship is, and understands care and solidarity as much as fun and play - all while learning so much thanks to an art-based creative curriculum and the outstanding job of all the teachers and the school director, Renee. I have worked in higher education all my life, and, I am being entirely honest, there is a lot we can learn from how young children are educated. I would like to add that the school is also very diverse, and there is a wonderful parent network.

When she was in her infant room, Ms. Christine was kind and patient. She engaged her both emotionally and physically. Im sure that my daughter reached all her milestones early because her teachers worked so hard with her. Now my daughter is in the toddler classroom and she is obsessed with Ms. Lidia and Ms. Danielle. She calls for them by name on the weekends. I feel so safe and comfortable knowing that these 2 women are taking care of my daughter. In addition to all the love and care she get, I am so beyond impressed with the menu my daughter I served everyday. She eats such a diverse menu of foods that I couldn't possible recreate in my house!

Throughout then, till now, we have been beyond satisfied with their organization, safety protocols (protests, covid, etc.), food selections/variety/nutrition (organic, etc.), communication (frequency, methods and accuracy) and most importantly the teachers. The people and systems that really hold everything together to give the opportunity to forster fun and learning. From Lowest Aged Classrooms - Ms. Victoria and Ms. Molly - both so kind, gentle and understanding, which at a younger age, really what kids need. They take note of important things like food intake, health, sign language, and even smaller (but life hack tips) items such as good sippy cups to use, etc. Ms. Monica and Ms. Destiny - they had our (first) son at a very challenging age and really were his first teachers at Goddard. They worked with him to achieve so many milestones. He loves them both dearly! They were upbeat, so dedicated and really got him out of his shell (and may I add out of many bad moods)! We can never thank them enough! Ms. Philena and Ms. Tiana - Both great teachers! Ms. Tiana is so sweet and caring. She keeps kids calm and speaks to them in such a way that they really open up to her. Mrs. Philena is also great, she speaks to the kids like little adults, and helps them to achieve milestones, such as staying dry after a nap, etc. She communicates (as she was the late night teacher) to the parents at pick up about the happenings of the day! Ms. O and Ms. Nina - Ms. O is a model teacher - as she must be for the age she teaches is when they start to get a little "smart"! She is firm and challenges them (holds them accountable) as well as relates to them on a friend level. Ms. Nina is so warm! She knows the unseen things such as if they may have to use the bathroom, or if they are in any type of "mood." She gets to know each kid and treats them as if they were her own. The administration really runs a tight ship - there is never a slip-up. Kellyanne, Yolanda, Sylvia and Emily they are all highly efficient whether it be getting the daily reports, communicating sicknesses/incidents, holidays, or crazy things that parents ask for like pictures of how big the chunks of food their kid are eating (guilty), or swiftly getting ....snacks or throw up off the floor (the sheer number of things that they handle I am sure I only know a small fraction). They basically are the neck to the (very heavy!) head. We could not be happier about the quality of teachers at the Goddard School to entrust them with the foundational years of our children.

It's the best daycare in Tribeca, and we joined after leaving another which was just fine but not great. Our older daughter started at Trinity/Vivvi in 2018 and now our younger daughter is there in the infants class. The teachers and administrators are the most considerate and thoughtful, and the facility is laid out for a child-led, montessori type experience. The best thing about Vivvi/Trinity is that there's a healthy balance between focusing on the needs of working parents and centering a rich, engaging experience for the kids. For your child, you want a clear lesson plan with good structure and lots of play, and as a parent, you want flexible hours and good communication. Other daycares in the neighborhood have more one or the other, but here you get both. This isn't to say that there are little hiccups; there are little things everywhere. But our teachers run their own classrooms and have things like the health insurance that are not common in other early child education. You can feel the difference. Our ladies have been happy going to school and coming home every day, and if they are happy, we're happy. Thank you Leigh, Ben, and all our teachers!

Initially, kids inevitably get sick often - just be ready for it - it's either now or Pre-K. But we found it worked for us because we didn't have the space w remote working to have a nanny or bandwidth to be a one person HR. The administration and teachers have been great. We've all seen that nanny in the park on her phone - you don't have to worry about that here. Everything is structured, held to a high legal standard, monitored and the centre is clean. BH provided diverse stimulation (art, reading, different developmental activities, etc), structure and outdoor time weather permitting - we follow the same schedule at home. Every day you get a detailed journal of every diaper change, nap and meal / snack and tons of videos and pics. AM/PM snacks are provided. A lot of the staff have or are working on education degrees too. Have seen my little one develop intellectually and physically in leaps and bounds - his palette has also expanded being able to take advantage of the Little Green Gourmet meal delivery service, and eat w a group of little ones. He is always excited to go to school, and it's so sweet to see him and his buddies excitedly run into each other at the playground. BH is now on the universal pre-K program, and an enrolled child can get priority for enrollment which is huge. A big thanks to Ms Kim and Miriam for running the centre, Ms Christine, Tia, Kia and Stef for the toddler rooms and Ms Sam, Evelyn, Jasmine and Danelvi the infant rooms.

We visited a number of schools and sought the the advice of countless friends and family before finally being introduced to Pine Street school. We attended an informational social which gave us the opportunity to meet faculty, parents, students, and learn more about the IB program and curriculum - we were blown away by the enthusiasm of the teachers, the global exposure the students had, and the close knit community we encountered there. But it was our children's response that really informed our decision to apply as they were eager to spend more time with everyone they met that evening and excited to learn more about the school. Fast forward to today and we couldn't be happier with the decision that we made. Pine Street School truly supports the whole child: the curriculum is rigorous and engaging, and we visibly see how they are preparing our children to go out and make a difference in the world. Students go on more field trips than any other school I've encountered - they really make sure that they have an opportunity to go out and experience the world. It is apparent that the thoughtful approach to learning supports the development of our children intellectually, emotionally, and socially and we couldn't be more pleased. And they continue to impress us and exceed our expectations, especially during this unprecedented time where our children need more love, support and consistency than ever; they are the only school that I know of that offers 4.5 hours of synchronous learning each day while school is physically closed due to social distancing! Incredible! They have managed to maintain the academic standards and preparation that we've become accustomed to during this challenging time: it doesn't get more committed than that. I could go on forever but will stop by thanking Pine for continuing to reaffirm why we made the best decision possible by enrolling both of our children. Thank you!

We were so excited about this school - it's beautiful, we love the philosophy, they have great exmissions, they said they took the children to play in the park nearby. And our first year in a toddler room was magical. The teacher was a phenomenal resource, our son grew and made some terrific friends, and we were excited for him to go to primary. Well, primary was a disaster. He had a young and inexperienced teacher who meant well, but telegraphed her disapproval of our high-spirited, high-energy, emotionally still very young kid so that our formerly school-loving child started melting down at every dropoff. An administration that wouldn't accommodate a request for change to a classroom where he had good friends, and seemed ill-equipped (or ill-inclined) to help him in general. When he needed extra physical movement, they had him walk in a circle along a piece of tape stuck to the floor. Carrying a cotton ball on a spoon. Which, as you've probably noticed, is not playing in the nearby park. No one said anything nice about our son to us at all until we informed them of our decision to leave. We went back to an AMS lab Montessori school in a different state, and the contrast is extreme. Teachers with decades of experience, lots of communication and support, lots of ability to respond to the needs of individual children who mature at different rates in different areas. The entire administration of the new school knows his name and says hello to him in the halls. Outdoor playground time every single day. And, it must be said, it's half the price. You might have an excellent experience at Flatiron. I hope you do. I wish we had.

The teachers, staff, curriculum, facilities, and basically everything about how they grow children is excellent and wonderful. I couldn't ask for, or even imagine, anything better. The administration/ownership is bad. Aloof is probably too generous an adjective. It's Trumpian in the sense that it seems centered on what furthers their own idiosyncratic goals (eg prestige, donations, growth); which might not be the same as yours or your child's. In the end (if you can manage the tuition, and don't need any favors from the administration) it's a wonderful place.
