Communication: The team at LDD2 provides very clear and frequent communications throughout the day through an app and there's a live camera feed. We always felt up-to-date throughout the day and the staff always gave us a review of the day when we picked up our son. This communication really helped us as new parents -- we always knew if he had a good nap, had eaten well, when his diaper was changed and all the other little details new parents want to hear about. Organization/Professionalism: As the team director, Brenda was an excellent partner to us as parents. Billing was simple and efficient, and updates about staffing, COVID protocols and other topics were always communicated to us clearly and with plenty of notice. Brenda genuinely strives to run the best daycare center in the area. Our son was at LDD2 through all the various waves of COVID (and subsequent waves of RSV and other viruses as the world reopened!) and Brenda and Kexia's commitment to run a healthy daycare was fantastic and far exceeded what we have heard is the norm at other daycares. All to say, we are very grateful to the LDD2 team and recommend them wholeheartedly.

Beyond literacy and numeracy skills, TNP has given her essential emotional tools: she's learned how to recognize and regulate big feelings with breathing techniques and gentle guidance. She's even started potty training with confidence! From day one, the care and thoughtfulness have been evident. As a baby, she was fed every 3 hours and given all the cuddles and comfort she needed. Now, she enjoys 3 healthy meals a day provided by the daycare. (Truly an unexpected bonus given how affordable the daycare is!) She's also soaking up Spanish too! During the first few weeks, the staff provided helpful feedback and guidance on how to help our child adjust. The teachers also use an app to provide updates on your child's day which includes logs of food intake, potty and pictures/videos of their daily activities. The number of photos can vary depending on how busy they are but usually there's at least one per day. Activities include painting, puzzles, circle time with singing, amongst others. I have been impressed with how creative the activities are. The class size seems to be between 8-12 on a given day, with about 3 classes and about two teachers per class. Morning and afternoon snack are included in tuition, and parents provide lunch. There is an infant rate and toddler rate (after two years old), with the toddler rate being less expensive. The administrative team is very responsive, especially Jack, who has even responded to us even after business hours. Tuition payments are on a monthly basis via the app. I do wish there was some sort of orientation process for newcomers (caveat: we joined mid year during the pandemic so not a typical year). Also, wish that the class schedule was shared on the app so I know what the children were up to each week. But compared to these more minor things - my child seems happy, healthy and is developing new skills which is most important.
