She is friendly with such an inviting spirit. She immediately let me know that they were already out of chicken. Since I was there for the ribs, I did not mind. It took about 20 minutes for my order to be completed (still comparable with going to a restaurant). FOOD - the baked beans were made with ground beef in it. You can taste tones of brown sugar and molasses with a hint of cinnamon. The mac n cheese is baked. Nothing extravagant but good nonetheless. The collards had a lot of long stems in them. However, they were seasoned well and cooked to perfection. Now let's get to the main part of the meal...those ribs! These ribs were truly SMOKED, not boiled, not grilled, not popped in the oven! They were rubbed with a delicious peppercorn/salt rub and left to "marinate" in the smoker. Perfect pinkish brown coloring through the meat. Moist with each bite from tip to gristle. I haven't had ribs this delicious since my late husband use to make them for me. I've been looking for this country boy taste so long, I will follow them to find out where they will be each week. I wanted a hot dog, but they were out (we got there 15 minutes before close, so totally understandable, and they were Nathan's hot dogs so you know they're good!) and my husband got the Azar sausage with peppers and onions (pictured). Very delicious! In the morning they have a breakfast menu with biscuits & gravy and breakfast biscuit sandwiches, too! To our surprise, they actually have a little seating area with two table clothed picnic tables right behind the food truck, which we had never noticed before, so that was a nice surprise! They have all the condiments there, including spicy mustard for the sausages. We can't say enough how nice this couple was, even for such a quick lunch! We'll definitely eat here again, and hopefully I'll get there in time to get a hot dog next time!

But I am so limited in what I may eat, that I had to ask for a plain hamburger and grilled mushrooms--cooked on a space that that was freshly cleaned off on the grill. I was so wrapped up in explaining this to very patient counterlady McKenzie (I believe) that I forgot to ask for lettuce and tomato. When it arrived at the table--brought singly out by Fernando (I believe)--I realized that I hadn't asked for the lettuce or tomato and I mumbled that to myself. But, I did not ask outright! Lo and behold, not a minute later Fernando appears with a plate of lettuce and tomato. How terrifically caring is that!?!?! And my burger was perfectly cooked and I did not have a bad reaction which means McKenzie got all the instructions exactly right and the chefs did exactly right, too! I thank all the staff very much! My family who was with me enjoyed all their selections, including fries and onion rings. My grandson's milkshake disappeared quickly. (You can get alcohol there, too.)
