Everyone in the party gets the local discounts, too! It's been a while for me to do the Fly Over, and I must say it doesn't disappoint. Our family from out of town was so tired from walking around the city, and when we did the ride, they were WIDE awake. They truly enjoyed it and thought it was very well done. As for me, someone who has done it a few times before, I was still amazed by the quality of the ride. Definitely a MUST!

This experience totally surprised me by how fun it was! I went with low expectations, thinking it…read morewas a tourist trap. There was no lineup whatsoever. Customer service was great - the smiles and courtesy seemed genuine. We were herded into a cramped space for a 10-minute "show" about Iceland. Initially I thought that was it - which would have been a bummer. Instead, we were then shuffled into a lineup for the flyover space. The attendants, smiling and courteous as ever, politely exhorted us into checking our seat belt buckles numerous times, which was slightly unnerving. Sure enough, once the real show began and the floor dropped away below our feet, I understood why they were so thorough. We took off and seemingly dipped and swirled through the skies over Iceland - it was quite lovely and spectacular, and realistic to the point where I eventually felt nauseated. Was it worth it? Yes. Would I do it again? Sure would. But next time I'll remember to take a ginger pill first:)

There are also a handful of playground toys, rides, slides and other attractions, complete with foam padding, safety nets and flashing lights, guaranteed to attract their attention! Admission is $28 per child (with one "free" adult allowed to accompany them) with no time restrictions. Posters in the restrooms also advertise special "after-hours" events, such as a Nerf War night for 8+ year olds, which sounds like a blast, even for an old kid-at-heart like me! About the only thing to complain about would be the rather terse and aloof staff running the front desk and managing the expected intake forms and disclaimers - they could be a little more lively and upbeat, if you ask me. That said, they do a good job keeping up the place, performing routine rounds to put toys away, vaccum, wipe things down, and generally get everything squared away in an orderly fashion.

The cafe closes early so then we were not able to get any drinks if kids are thirsty before closing time. We also missed the announcement on the cafe closing time with all the screaming and noise unfortunately and it really put a damper to the experience. There are signs posted no drinks or food in the play area which means your kids have to play until closing time thirsty or you have to leave early.

I loved the outdoor areas- watching the little seals and otters was so cute. They had otter soccer at one point but it was WAY too crowded to see. I did get to view other otters from a different angle and they were so happy and silly. It made me smile. Loved the frogs and that you can see different exhibits in a multi-level way. The rainforest area was also really cool. Saturday in May was BUSY!!!! Frequently super crowded areas, felt a little trapped at times. I tried to stay outside and on lower levels for better viewing. Even with timed entry it was still pretty hectic. Would love to return on a quieter day. Wasn't super impressed with the food options, but I also don't see why you would need to stay long enough to eat here- go back into the city!
