Somehow, the appointment was changed to another date after my confirmation -- with no call, no explanation, and no notice. Impressive system. I drove nearly two hours in snowy weather and arrived on time, only to be told my appointment no longer existed that day. When I calmly showed proof and tried to explain, the staff's response was eye-rolling, visible impatience, and zero effort to help resolve an error that was not mine. I was left feeling dismissed, unwelcome, and frankly uncomfortable. I can't say why I was treated that way, but it's hard not to wonder whether appearance or background played a role when basic courtesy and professionalism disappear so quickly. When I asked for their names to document the incident, they refused and told me to leave. If accountability, communication, and respectful treatment matter to you, I'd suggest confirming things multiple times -- and maybe still prepare for surprises.

I absolutely appreciated the phone call that someone canceled. Dr. Nam was extremely personable, with a relaxed but educational demeanor. As someone who isn't a fan of the density, I appreciated the offering of music or Netflix as a distraction method from the procedure. One thing that was different than my previous dentist is that Dr. Nam didn't do my actual filling. She administered the numbing agents and then another person came in, placed and set the filling, and then Dr. Nam checked this. In my other experiences, the dentist always did the full procedure, so this struck me as slightly odd. Other than that, office is clean, staff is friendly, and both appointments took me nearly on time (within a 5-10 minute window) which I think is pretty good!

I encountered a number of temporary office staff who were definitely lacking in skill and dedication. No one in the office ever introduced themselves or wore a name tag so It was difficult to determine who they were and what their role was in the office. For some reason even though I have dental insurance, very little of the work done was covered even though this had not been the case with my previous dentist. Patients were charged a whopping $20 PPE charge per visit on top of already very expensive dental charges. Dr Arive was probably a satisfactory dentist but the office was run so poorly I sought dental care elsewhere.

I put off going for a few years, so I had 5 cavities today and had to get bonding on my front tooth because it was chipped. Got all 5 cavities done quickly without pain and my bonding looks great!
