Also, shout out to the all-female staff. Get it, ladies. Booking with WGD is easy and they can usually get you in pretty fast. Not something I can say for other medical professionals. In fact, I've gotten a few calls in the past from a receptionist calling to see if I want to book my next cleaning because it's been a while (as a full-time student, I often didn't book my next one because I had no clue what my schedule was going to look like six months out). They would call to say it's time and that they were holding a spot for me if I wanted it. I thought that was fantastic customer service. There was also a time something went funky with the insurance and I had to call my mom to come over (young adult still on parents' insurance- sue me), and they were very understanding in my being flustered and confused. Everything was cleared up right away and we walked out happy. As fate would have it, a year after I stared medical school at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Wajdi began dental school at the Dental College of Georgia in the adjacent building on campus and we got to to live in the same building, cooking for each other and giving me a daily opportunity to practice my terrible, fledgling Arabic. As teenagers in high school together, I knew I wanted to be a doctor and Wajdi knew he wanted to be a dentist. I told him that one day when he had his own practice, I'd come get my teeth cleaned. Well, today, fifteen years after we met (to the month, in fact), it finally came full circle. I flew 2,015 miles just to come visit his practice and have my teeth cleaned. It was without a doubt, the most incredibly thorough dental cleaning I have ever had in my life. My teeth feel so clean that it is as if I can physically feel them sparkling in my mouth. I thought we'd be lucky if he allowed them to even take a peek inside his mouth... Dr. Sukhi and her hygienist worked their magic and were able to do a full cleaning! No detail is overlooked at Bumble Kids. They started the appointment by encouraging our son to brush a stuffed doggie's teeth and allowing plenty of time for him to have fun with it. Next, they introduced him to each piece of equipment before they used it. They did a full cleaning (with the professional electric toothbrush) AND flossed his teeth. He loved watching Daniel Tiger on the t.v. positioned on the ceiling that encouraged him to look up while they worked.
