Please don't fall for those door knocking companies that try to sell you low interest loans and other items you may not want or need. I met with many companies over a few years before I choose them. We agreed on the system size and price and I asked Dom what they needed for a deposit? I almost fell over when he said "we don't take deposits, just pay us AFTER we finish and you're satisfied". My installation took a day and was completed in December 2024. FPL changed the meter 30 days later and we started sending excess power back to FPl on those sunny days. Dom always stressed using a local company because you will get better and faster service if you have a problem. He was so right! Looking at the ENPHASE App about 10 days ago I noticed one of the panels was producing less than the others and notified Jason. Two days later the crew replaced the faulty panel. Who knows how long it would take if I used a company from another city or state? The attached photo is a screen shot showing how much electricity my system generated on an almost perfectly sunny day. It was a cool enough day that my AC didn't run very much, but I did a couple of loads of laundry and i still almost generated more electricity than I used with my solar panels! They did a great job, my system is generating almost the exact amount of electricity that they told me it would generate before I placed my order, and my electric bills are lower than all of my friends' electric bills are. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I talked to both owners, Christina and Jared, because they both came to my house at different times during the installation, and I'm an inquisitive and demanding customer (Warren Buffet was my neighbor back in Omaha) ... you make me happy, you're the best at what you do! I even offered to buy a percentage of the company, but they turned me down saying, "This is our life's work. We love what we do." They killed the competition. SunPro/ADT ($45k) was almost 50% higher than the price of Bay Area Solar ($31,776). A third less memorable competitor was 20% more and far less professional and friendly. Installation was fast and professional. I've been researching solar panels for 30 years so I knew what I was getting, and I got the best bang for the buck. No money down, $8261 Federal Tax Credit, $160 a month for 20 years, written guarantee that all my panels will produce 95% of what they produce the first day of installation, or Bay Area Solar will replace them for free. My bill with Duke has consistently been the minimum $35.96, with a few winter months around $60 due to more cloudy days and angle of the sun. My neighborhood was built in 1978, and my neighbors consistently pay $300, $400, and sometimes $500 a month.
