After researching solar installers for a few years, I chose Florida Solar Design Group to install solar panels. If you're thinking about solar, do yourself a favor and call Dominick or Jason for a quote. They will educate you in person and through their website. Please don't fall for those door knocking companies that try to sell you low interest loans and other items you may not want or need. I met with many companies over a few years before I choose them. We agreed on the system size and price and I asked Dom what they needed for a deposit? I almost fell over when he said "we don't take deposits, just pay us AFTER we finish and you're satisfied". My installation took a day and was completed in December 2024. FPL changed the meter 30 days later and we started sending excess power back to FPl on those sunny days. Dom always stressed using a local company because you will get better and faster service if you have a problem. He was so right! Looking at the ENPHASE App about 10 days ago I noticed one of the panels was producing less than the others and notified Jason. Two days later the crew replaced the faulty panel. Who knows how long it would take if I used a company from another city or state? I've had solar panels from Florida Solar Design Group on my house for a few years and I just had them add 10 more solar panels last week. The attached photo is a screen shot showing how much electricity my system generated on an almost perfectly sunny day. It was a cool enough day that my AC didn't run very much, but I did a couple of loads of laundry and i still almost generated more electricity than I used with my solar panels! They did a great job, my system is generating almost the exact amount of electricity that they told me it would generate before I placed my order, and my electric bills are lower than all of my friends' electric bills are. We had a solar system installed at the end of March 2019. Within less than 48 hours the pool temperature was a comfortable 88 degrees! I wanted to test it out for a few months so I could give a fair review. I did a lot of research before meeting with Dominick so I would have a basic grasp of how solar pool heating works. Right away I could tell that Dominick was teaching me everything I thought I needed to know and more about solar. We discussed pros and cons, price differences, materials, installation, possible plans, you name it. Dominic Zito came out on time and was very professional in educating us on solar pool heating systems. I ordered the system even though it was $800 more than a solar system my son had just had installed in his home. I was never so happy to pay more in my life. Florida solars' system uses made in the USA parts for one. Secondly, my son's system took them several days to install while Florida solars' system was completed within 4 hours. I had a warm pool that evening!
