I have been using Brights for several years. They always have wonderful quality, seasoned hard wood. They always schedule and deliver quickly. They dump it where I tell them to. This past fall I tried another supplier "just to see" how the quality was and they were and it was a complete failure. Wet, unseasoned wood and not covid compliant. Don't buy your firewood from Brights, they say you get mostly oak. That's a joke - I purchased a cord and got mostly rotten, punk SH!T wood. I got one or two pieces of rotten oak. Never Never again!! Spread the word. read more

In October of 2018 I bought a cord from Splitz for $250. and it was great wood. As Christmas approached and I began to run low I called Splitz to order another cord, they told me that they were out of seasoned wood, (a disappointing but appreciated honest answer) so I went online to find another source. I called Brights and specifically asked them if they still had seasoned wood, they assured me that they did, so I ordered a cord and paid $285. Half the cord is NOT seasoned and will NOT burn. I called and spoke with the owner to express my unhappiness. It was one of the most frustrating conversations I've ever had. Some of the more inane things that came out of his mouth; "You should always buy your wood a year in advance". I haven't lived here for a year. "Burn the half that is seasoned first". Of course I'm burning the seasoned wood first, the other wood won't burn "In the early days men cut their own wood and stacked it for the next year, now people are so lazy they call people like me". If it weren't for lazy guys like me you wouldn't have a business. "I only make $7 on a cord of wood". What has that got to do with me? What this gentleman was unable, or unwilling to acknowledge was, he advertised and affirmed that he was selling me seasoned wood and failed to deliver on that agreement. I respect any man who is working hard to make a living and I am happy to patronize small business owners. But when I give someone my money, I expect them to give me what I bought, Brights did not. Ordered 10 yards of mulch and much to my delight, it was delivered within hours. Fabulous service and quality mulch.

ne'er a problem with these guys. i've gotten about 4 or 5 cords total from them. they're always prompt and friendly and will dump wherever i choose. if i order 2 or more cords they will give a discount. also ask for a discount if you're paying with cash - but do it on the phone because the driver only sees whats on the receipt. only reason its not 5 stars is that sometimes late in the season the wood is "dirty' : a lot of small scrap pieces. if the owner, mr bright, delivers, be prepared to lose a few minutes because he loves to chit-chat read more

I called last year (2014) to order firewood and got half a cord without any trouble. The delivery guy came and dropped the wood. I didn't have to go to the gym for a few days because stacking wood is hard work! I called this year (2015) and asked how much I ordered last year, so I'd know how much to get this year. "We don't keep records like that." Fine. Weird, but fine. Except when I called to arrange delivery, I told them I wouldn't be home but I'd leave a check in an envelope on the side door. I come back, the check is gone, but there is no firewood. I called today to see what happened. "Well, we called to be sure someone was home before we made the delivery." "Okay, but I told you I wouldn't be home and that's why I left the check." "We called and no one answered." "Right. Because I told you I wouldn't be here." "Well, we always call before we load the truck." pause... "Yes. But I told you I wouldn't be here." So no firewood and a missing check and I'm out of luck. I know they're a Mom & Pop operation but even Mom and Pop should be able to engage in a simple transaction without screwig it up. No apology -- even a "misunderstanding" -- no offer to come back out. I can't say I have ever had a problem; a cord is a cord, the service is professional, the price is fair and I always buy in the spring for the next winters use. Bottom line, I would definitely recommend them. read more

First time ordering from Bright's Firewood. Pros: Delivery was prompt. Driver was a nice guy. Wood seemed to be aged (not sure how well it burns yet). Cons: Wood was not the greatest...but wasn't the worst either. Wood quality was disappointing for paying top-dollar. Many large pieces will need further splitting. Lots of garbage mixed in (4 garbage bags full !). Had much better luck at other places. I recommend Bright's in a pinch. read more

Bright's is horrible and has horrible customer service! They said on the phone that our purchase would cost $225.00 (unstacked). When they charged our credit card, they charged us $250.00. We had to call and have them honor the price that was originally quoted to us. Then they dropped off wood for us and it was all wet. The driver said that it was because it had rained and that the important thing was that it was "seasoned" firewood. Well, it has been 3 weeks and the wood still is not burning, it just gets all smokey. My husband drilled holes through 2 different pieces of wood and tried to light the shavings on fire and they would not catch on fire. The wood is totally soaked throughout! Never buying wood from them again. read more

I am so happy Bright's survived 8 years of Obama! They send me the best hardwood every year. It is seasoned, and ready to burn. Their prices should be higher for the service they offer.
