My husband received EXCELLENT physical therapy care from Richard at BrighStar after his total knee replacement in September. From our very first visit, we explained our time line and a few of my husbands limitations, Richard worked diligently with us. We are so pleased with the care and treatment plan Richard put together. He knew of my husbands limitation, but also talked to my husband about him being a former athlete (football player) and he knew his potential. This made me husband really work to get stronger. I had a wound care nurse(Jackie) coming to my home 3 times per week to address a surgical sight dehiscence. Jackie was wonderful addressing my wound. Jackie is genuine, honest, caring, professional and flexible with arrival times. Even though it was uncomfortable when she was cleaning my wound, it healed and is closed now. I have 2 small dogs. They looked forward to her visits. my little one waited by the door for her arrival. I would recommend her and her employer to anyone. We miss her. read more

I have had bright star for home health for several knee surgeries and have had the best Physical therapy with Richard as my physical therapist because he listens to my needs and has helped me get back on my feet I have requested him for every surgery. They cared for my sister until we could find placement for her. Even though they knew it was short term due to her financial situation they treated her like royalty. They treated her like any other customer. She had quality care, they provided a great caregiver every shift. We could only afford the minimum but during the time their caregivers put in so much work, making sure that my sister was well taken care of and the office staff was absolutely amazing. We had a care coordinator and the manager was always jumping in helping us when our coordinator was out. They never made us feel like we could not afford their services. They made us feel like we were important every time we called. they even offered to help with placement . read more

We were in dire need of in-home care. I called and spoke to a woman named Jessica who assured us that a woman named Sue would give us a call back. Never heard from her. Talk about unprofessional. I'd strongly advise you look elsewhere if you genuinely need care. Plenty of agencies out there who will at the very least return your call. The first and only review for them is via an employee? We used Brightstar of Roseville off and on in 2021 and 2022 to take care of our mom at home after debilitating surgery and again after a major accident. For the most part we were very impressed with their caregivers, who were extremely professional, reliable, and knowledgeable - and, in almost all cases, very personable. (Our very favorite Brightstar caregiver explained it to us: "Brightstar has been very good to me, and I am very good to their clients".. and she definitely was very good to mom..) I am not going to say that everything went perfectly from an administrative standpoint, but perfection is way too high an expectation in any business relationship. What counts is the company's dedication to resolving any issues that arise, and I came to realize that the folks in Brightstar's office absolutely had our backs and always made sure to be highly responsive and willing to go the extra mile to make sure things wound up bring resolved correctly. (I, too, felt very well cared for.) Sadly, we had to stop using Brightstar when mom & dad moved into Assisted Living (due to a COVID-related policy that forbade them providing care in an institutional environment). Just based on our experience with Brightstar over the course of about a year I would happily recommend them to anyone needing in-home care. (But I will also add that based on our rather negative experience with other similar agencies, my recommendation of Brightstar becomes that much stronger.. I really do think of them as the brightest star in their field!) read more

Terrible. I had a very disappointing experience with this company. It became evident to me that their focus seemed to be more on financial gain than providing quality care for their clients and their families. To make matters worse, some valuable and sentimental item were stolen while my parents were under their care. Although the company denied any involvement, the missing item was last seen while my parents where UNDER THEIR CARE. Throughout the experience, I felt as though every issue was met with resistance. Additionally, the caregiver failed to accurately document the condition of my parents, leaving me with the impression that I had to be their babysitter rather than receiving the correct information. found they are to difficult to work with and I had lost trust. read more

The director of care essentially told me that he was out and his organization does not have the redundancies necessary to maintain customer communication and care. My nurse was nice. I asked for 3 days to talk to my nurse or a scheduler and heard nothing. So I will have another provider do it or start going to an infusion center. Extremely unprofessional tone and behavior. I suffered a stroke and needed home health care this last December. Brightstar representative Kati Rozk came to our home to explain the program to me and my family. We were very impressed with all the aspects of this program and signed up immediately. Three care givers were assigned to me and their experience along with personlities were a wonderful match. Their names are Jeanne, Teri and Lisa. My recovery is directly affected by each of these three women who spend 4 hours every morning 7 days a week supporting my physical,mental,emotional and spiritual wellbeing. Living in Lincoln Hills, Lincoln, Ca. A group I belong to called Wise Aging, recently had Susan Feldman, representing BrightStar Care in Roseville speak to our group about long term care policies. As a follow-up she offered to meet with anyone interested in having their LTC policy reviewed in depth, and explained........in plain English !! Susan met with my wife and I, and must have spent over 2 hours with us, even including calling our LTC policy companies to get clarification to questions that didn't seem clear to her......let alone us. I am moving out of Sacramento, and therefore putting in my two weeks with Bright Star. However, after nearly 1 year of employment with this agency I can honestly say that I have never felt so respected and appreciated by an employer. Truly wonderful, kind human resources and care specialist staff that is committed to educating their employees. This was a great opportunity to learn a new skill set. I felt completely comfortable coming to my care manager, Jennifer, with any questions or issues I had. She always listened and worked with me to find a solution. I did my best to be flexible with my hours and fill in shifts; in return, Bright Star was flexible with my scheduling preferences and respectful of my time. I called to inquire about the services they provide. I was put on hold and connected to someone who wanted to know what job I was applying for. When I explained what I wanted I was again put on hold. The person who finally responded asked what I wanted so I again explained my reason for calling. I was again put on hold and the person who then responded was apparently the person who answers all calls as she said, "Brightstar Care, how may I help you?" I told her I did not need her help , thanked her, and ended the call. It seems to me that if a business cannot even figure out something as simple as using their own phone system it is not a business I want to trust with providing personal and health care services. read more

I have been the recipient of in-home care for about two years now; exposed to four Home Care companies. BrightStar Care is my current and by far absolute favorite of the four companies. My current caregiver, Nelly K. (NK), is surely a gift from God. She showed up in my life when I needed just that type of person because of changing needs. Most notably to me is that she is able to keep me calm enough to ride out my PTSD events; she seems to know I'm having it before I am even aware. NK is like a bundle of passion, compassion, intellect, understanding, insightfulness, and perceptiveness. And, these traits are common among all of the staff members in Roseville that I have met. I wish I could name each staff member and shower them with the praise and thanks that they deserve. In a nutshell, I don't think I could get better quality care from any other provider. My quality of life in every aspect of my life has improved a phenomenal amount. Things like, but not limited to, health and hygiene, grocery shopping, assistance with domestic chores, the running of silly errands, and just being the best companion you can ask for during all the in between space. If you or someone that you care about needs in-home care, don't you think that you and/or them deserve care of at least the same quality that I receive? BrightStar has been a great company to work for! You get to pick your own schedule and they offer benefits if you work 30+ hours. They offer training classes and really want you to succeed. I started out as a caregiver and am now a registered nurse with the company. They even got me a card and present for graduating my NCLEX. The staff is super thoughtful.
