They also hand-dug a 6-foot long by 4-foot wide by 6-foot deep hole in the front lawn to locate the waste/sewer pipe leading to the street in order for the town's Sewer department to repair the faulty pipe. Once the pipe repair was completed by the town's Sewer Department, Tommy and his team returned to our home and carefully back-filled the hole with the dirt they removed. Each project was top-notch. Tommy and his team of qualified, trained professional landscapers arrived on time, were very efficient, thorough, careful, and friendly. Since everything was exactly planned out and explained during the initial estimate, there were no surprises or hidden fees along the way. Tommy was on the job site along with his team every minute of each project to both supervise and work alongside his crew. But the Kohut team instantly put us at ease, and have been fantastic. For starters, they're just a pleasure to work with. They're all friendly but unobtrusive. They're happy to work on their own without ever interacting with you, but they're quick to return a wave or a smile. They also work VERY hard. You are definitely getting value for your dollar here. Furthermore, I TRUST these folks. That previous landscaper I mentioned kept using increasingly-dodgy-looking workers that left us feeling a bit nervous. In sharp contrast, the Kohut workers all come across as intelligent, responsible, and respectable. And the results? In a word, beautiful. When we first moved into our house 15 years or so ago, the yard was a bit of a mess. Now it's among the best in the neighborhood. These guys are not just hard workers: they also have a great eye for layout and design and color. Even more importantly, instead of foisting their vision onto us, they have worked with us to find a design that fits in with OUR vision of how our home should work. In addition, we have some unusual requirements such as a certain attachment to existing flora and an aversion to toxic chemicals, that the Kohut team accepted without batting an eye, and then worked within those restrictions. While we use them primarily as landscapers, their talents extend far beyond that. For instance, we had some cracks forming in our concrete steps, which they repaired seamlessly. (I can't even remember where the cracks were; that's how seamlessly they fixed them.) I've also recently learned that they do snow-plowing as well, and we'll probably take them up on that for heavier snowfalls. I'm sure you could find cheaper landscapers, but I doubt you could find better, and I'm almost certain you won't find better value for the dollar. We've worked with Kohut and Son for years, and we plan to work with them for years to come.

We had polled a few local companies but there was a clear reason to choose Kohut. John not only resolved all the issues significantly better than any other option, but they completely revamped both the back and side yard with efficient, effective, and gorgeous landscaping and ingeniously designed a separate area for our dogs to play and use the bathroom without destroying the newly laid sod. Came home from work one day to find a large section of my retaining wall tumbled over into my…read moreneighbor's yard. The wall was originally built by the builder before we moved in mid 2004. The wall started to lean slightly within 5 years as it was not built with drainage in mind. This time around, I wanted the retaining wall build the right way. I called Charles and Son Construction & Landscaping to get an estimate because I prefer someone local and was pleased with their online reviews. Carlos arrived as scheduled to write up the estimate. He immediately suggested re-using the blocks since they seemed to be in decent condition and would save money. I met with another company the day prior and was originally planning on getting a 3rd estimate. After getting Carlos' very reasonable estimate and asking a few question regarding timeline, I approved the estimate and was ready to move forward. Just 3 days later, the work started and was finished just 4 days later with a Sunday and a rainy Monday that was a wash out. I was so pleased since this has been on my todo list for the last several years and relieved to have it done correctly. My neighbor was also pleased to get part of his yard back. I highly recommend Charles and Son Construction & Landscaping for any outdoor project. You won't be disappointed. I plan on calling Charles and Son Construction & Landscaping again in a couple of years for driveway and walkway pavers.

Carlos and his team did a great job installing a drainage system (and connect the gutters to them) to alleviate the problem and were able to do it quickly at a very reasonable rate. They even did a great job putting the grass back where they needed to dig the line to the street. Very happy with their work and will be calling them again for other projects.

I would give WeatherX zero stars if possible…read more I hired WeatherX to pressure wash, sand, and seal my patio. The finished result was unacceptable. The joints were uneven and still had old material/debris visible, there were missed areas, streaking/staining, and multiple sections looked worse after the job than before. This was not just my opinion. Ricky came to my property the following Wednesday, inspected the patio himself, and acknowledged that the work was unacceptable and that something went wrong with the install. He told me he would come back that Saturday with his crew to redo everything. No one showed up. My property cameras confirm that no crew came. My follow-up calls and texts were then ignored again. The only time I was able to reach him was when I called from a different number. At this point, I do not trust WeatherX to perform or correct this type of work. I am hiring another qualified contractor to inspect and repair the patio, and I will be pursuing recovery of the correction costs. Based on my experience, I would absolutely not recommend WeatherX for patio/paver pressure washing, sanding, or sealing.

Once we agreed on price, which was fair by the way, the Greenwood guys were out to my house to do the work the very next week. Such a pleasant experience not to be told something like "we'll get to you some time next month." Dave followed up personally after the work was completed to make sure everything went well. I will continue to use Greenwood and would not hesitate to recommend them for tree and lawn work.
