They let you bring in outside food since they don't have their own and other customers had a wide variety of items. Great tap selection with a lot of variety of local beers and three ciders available. Prices are very reasonable. The bartender was very friendly. There is a lot of seating including comfy couches. Hit and miss. We enjoy the beer selection and the chance to try different brews. The space is also inviting, especially in the summer with the large doors open. Service isn't great, seems like the people behind the bar aren't too excited to be there, and aren't hesitant to show it. I really want to like this place because the location is great and I like supporting local businesses. Unfortunately, I have been multiple times over the last few years to pick up beer and the staff has almost always been rude and just seemed annoyed and made me feel like an inconvenience that they had to ring me up. The last time I went, the woman working barely acknowledged me and was having a conversation with another employee and customer the whole time she was checking me out. She was so distracted that after she gave me my card back she then almost handed me someone else's debit card as well and I had to tell her it wasn't mine. I'll start by saying I actually love the space and their beer selection. My partner and I have been many times since their new space opened, but I finally decided that dealing with the rude female member of their staff is reason enough not to return. Don't ask her for recommendations on which beers to try, she'll just say to look at the sign. She was also quite rude to an out-of-town friend we were showing around the area, when he didn't know their was a corkage fee if you buy canned beers in the taproom and want to drink them there. My wife and i work long belated hours and i honestly have a hard time relaxing after work. This place is a dime. A place to come after work and relax and realize life is ok. Its a meeting point for friends and family, and a place where you can just let stress leave at the door. A geeky beer spot in lovely downtown Edmonds, WA. The gravity of that statement means most to longtime Edmondsites, most likely. There have never been many watering holes down in the bowl, let alone a variety of watering holes. But the beer revolution comes ashore everywhere, it seems. By the time you read this (especially if we're well into 2019), they may have moved to a different part of the building, which will mean the loss of their awesome sunset-facing patio. They're building a new patio so there will still be suds al fresco, but likely without the current, sweet sunset view. As it is today, they're in a funky old quonset-style arched-roof building that has its charms. Plenty of parking, plenty of space inside, nice high ceilings. It's a good spot (and still will be after their space adjustment happens, too). They have several hundred beers in cans and bottles, and a couple dozen more on draft. Prices are fair for good beer; they destroy the supermarket for selection and the supermarket beats them on price. There are stools at the bar, and tables and chairs inside and out. The vibe is casual and neighborhood-y, with regulars who know the staff like friends, and everyone's friendly to new faces, too, from what I can see. It has a nice feel to it with some rough-hewn wood paneling offsetting the brightness of the lighting. (Maybe the new space will have softer lighting--soft lighting is better for bottled beer, too). I *REALLY* liked chatting with the staff here. Super well-informed, with just the right amount of charm and energy for a beer joint. No jaded record-store-clerk attitude like you sometimes get at the big name beer joints down in town. They're just as demanding about their beers, but happy to talk to everyone. Parking for this place was easy as it was part of a plaza. It is near the ferry and other downtown shops. From the outside it looks small but when you walk in there is tons of seating and even more outdoor seating in the back. This place would be great for sunny days. We went Saturday overcast. There is artwork all over the walls that is interesting to look at. Lots of different style seating booths, chairs, outdoor booths, something for everyone. They have the large wooden fireside chairs that I love and are super comfortable. They have a gas fire pit in the back that was great for our overcast day. They are doggy friendly with water bowls and have some community books that you could read. The reason I gave a 4 was because I felt their cider selection was small at the time I went in. Many of what was available were in larger bottles. They did though have a large wine and beer selection and even had some sake. It is definitely worth a visit and would highly suggest getting some friends out with you. read more

We had a rough week and went to Brigids to relax and have a beer. My wife asked if they had a hazy but they did not and they recommended another beer. She asked for a sample and staff begrudginly poored about a thimbles worth that was all foam. I asked which DIPA was best (2 on draft) and they said that a fresh hop was more malty. Was hesitant to ask for a sample seeing how my wife was served. I had a fresh hop that did not taste malty at all. Very much seemed that Service and Samples were just too difficult. We use to love this place for grabbing a relaxing beer with our dogs! Their new location is awesome and huge. However, they have since changed their rules and now allow children too. Between the dogs and the madness of kids running around, it has turned into a dog park and kids play ground with beer. Great place to go and grab a beer or a few. Huge selection of bottles and cans that can be drank there (for a corkage fee) or taken home. Typically about 10-20 beers on tap with a good variety of options. During non-COVID times there are lots of fun outdoor games such as giant jenga and connect four, and lots of board/card games available as well. Fun place for a group too! Disappointing experience, because I'd love for Edmonds to have a shop like this that showcases all the local craft beer in the area. But this wasn't quite the welcoming or fun environment I was hoping for--just a few fridges and a sort of surly cashier. Half the staff here is pretty cool and the other half seems to the hate their job . I don't get it. There's a smug attitude that is bizarre. Man how things have changed. Two beers: 17$. Nothing fancy. Just a couple of draft pints. Prices not listed on board which is misleading. We were going to get a couple of cans to stay and drink due to the high price of draft pints. Found a few cans for 5$ and we're VERY rudely informed by the female bartender that we would be paying "8$ a can, including tip and corking fee" I understand businesses need to mark up product from retail (to go) prices. But $2 a can was ridiculous. Let alone being informed how much we were going to tip. When I expressed surprise the bartender curtly laughed at me, then dramatically rolled her eyes and told me "obviously you havent done this before, this is standard, anywhere you go" (false) I understand it's a specialty shop with no food that needs to cover costs for the presumably expensive location. If you can't cut down cost on beer, at least advertise your Corking fee and the pint prices so there is less sticker shock when the bartender already is ringing my card. The location is beautiful. The selection of beer is decent but not worth the price or service. I'm a bartender. So I get how taxing the job can be. But this girl, as speedy as she may be, was insulting, patronizing, and rude. I find it hard to believe behavior like that was just her having an off day. A shame because I'm sure she alone will drive away plenty of business with her attitude. Pretty off-putting experience for me and my boyfriend. We love, and always look for bars and breweries to try, so we wanted to try this one. The second we walked in the door they told us they're doing "last call" an hour before closing. Her reasoning was because it's a slow day, however there were 9 people in there and she also turned away at least 8 more people walking in. Terrible business move for a weekend day, it turned us off that we didn't even want to buy beer from them. No idea if this place is pleasant in the least bit because the first 5 seconds of our experience was extremely extremely poor. read more

The beer selection is decent as it rotates frequently. However, my visit on 12/28/2017 was eventful as a female working the bar was giving me a very poor attitude. I cannot imagine that is how customers should be treated after spending their money to patronize an establishment. It is very unfortunate that this establishment can allow for such behavior when it offers a good ambiance. Taking samples are always welcome, offered and available. So many to choose from and the bar dudes are very helpful, friendly, good energetic people. There are plenty room to sit inside and if you are the outdoorsy type, there are plenty as well and dog-friendly. Their menu is short and unpretentious. It's clean too especially for a bar that gets a lot of traffic including private parties. I like this place and actually a frequent stop especially when the weather is very warm.
