First off, I was a good customer of Total Wine. In the last 5-10 yrs, I have had close to 100 deliveries to my house. According to my profile, I had 16 deliveries in the last 2 yrs totally around $2900. Last Friday I put in a $99 order. At 4:59 an Uber driver texted me that he was picking up the order and will be here in 17 minutes. Five minutes later, the order was cancelled. No reason, just cancelled. For some reason Total wine is blaming me for this cancellation. My invoice was $99 and my refund was $88. It cost me $11 for them to stiff me. I was told a customer rep will be in touch. Five days later, no contact. Last penny they will get from me. read more

Good place to pick up liquor but I don't advise talking to any of the employees. They have one objective and that's to talk you into buying their house brand liquor. If you taste test anything (e.g. cognac, bourbon, etc) it's usually their inferior store brand (or heavily affiliated brand) that's packaged and branded like an independent brand/product. These strongly affiliated products don't have wide recognition, any sort of following, or reputation. Just a great story to help sell. None of the high end bars or hotels carry it, none of the reputable critics recommend them, and everyday reviews show subpar ratings. For best experience put an ear plugs in before entering the store and research what you want before driving here. read more

The staff is way "too in your face" at this place. You get asked by almost every worker there if you need help. I was just asked by the other 3 people, calm down. One lady there will talk your ear off even though you're trying to walk away. However, I'm done with this place because of an experience a couple weeks ago. I'm definitely over the age of 21. I'm 55. I know that I DO NOT look young enough to be carded. We went in on a pouring rain day after shopping at Costco. My wallet was in the trunk of the car in one of the Costco boxes, so I told my husband that since he had his wallet on him I wasn't going to get soaked getting it. The line was about 10 deep with only 1 cashier (very odd btw). So my husband handed me his debit card and said he was going to wait in the car. They got a 2nd cashier and the line started moving. When I got up to the line, the guy asked for my ID. I asked "why" since their signs all say "we ID 21" and I'm definitely not 21. This is what ticked me off. The tone. He talked to me like I was a child or a dithering old lady. "Well, ma'am, you see you are at a liquor store. And liquor stores require ID to buy liquor." I pointed out the cashier next him and the manager up front, and said they had both been my cashier multiple times and have NEVER asked for an ID. He says "That was a mistake. They should have." Then called the manager over, who in the same tone lectured me "ma'am, we are a liquor store and at a liquor store you need to show you are over 21 years old. We'll let it go this time, but next time make sure you remember your ID or we won't let your purchase anything." Now I get I cannot get "tone" across in writing, but the way it was said, Just dripping in distain and sarcasm. Embarrassing and humiliating. I saw RED. I finished the purchase and said "I'm done with this place." I get that rules are rules. If that is the case, do it every time so I expect it. But don't you dare talk to an adult like they are a child. I'm Gen-X. I don't put up with that crap. Got to the car and my husband could see I was fuming. Told him he could shop there, but I'm done. Of course, when HE went the following weekend, he WAS NOT asked to show his ID. Maybe they got busted for selling to an underage person. Maybe they had headquarters there. Learn a better tone. Also, teach your employees to stop being so pushy while people are shopping. read more

We are regular customers here. They are usually the place we can find something new to try or something that we can't find anywhere else. Today, exceeded any other visit we've ever had! The younger guy working the wine counter was so knowledgeable! He went out of his way to help me find a new Pinot Noir and gave me a tasting to ensure I liked it! He was very informative which I appreciate when finding new wine! The cashier was so accommodating and patient when my coupon from the app wouldn't work. She called the assistant manager over for assistance who found the issue with the coupon but honored it anyway. They sent me to a section inbetween two Isles but I had to Find them myself ina tucked away area of what appeared to be maybe a Beer testing area. The checker kind of pissed us off when he requested the ID of our entire party (my husband who was buying, myself and my son All over the age of 21). It wasn't Necessarily that he asked it's how he handles it when I questioned him since when do You check everyone ID even if they are not buying anything. What a cool place! I wanted to get some non-alcoholic beer, and was delighted to find a really awesome selection. Particularly since this is a wine store. I was amazed by the vast selection, not to mention the friendly staff. If I was a consumer of alcoholic beverages, then I would be in inebriated heaven. Since I'm not, I was pleased to see what they carried -- including beverages like ginger and root beer. I actually chose two non-alcoholic brews. Was EXTREMELY dissatisfied with the staff here. As soon as we walked in everything felt off. Staff was watching and following us everywhere we went. Then they proceeded to start asking questions "Are you family, are you okay?" And other stuff like that. Once we answered they started telling other staff about us. We were the only ones they did this to at the time when we were there. Then we went to checkout, nobody's ID's were checked till it got to us. Cashier was helping people infront of us like normal however when it was our turn one of the higher ups had said let me take over. They checked all of our ID's, had other higher ups check, and kept asking if they are real even my mother who is over 50! The staff is always helpful and never fails to recommend and introduce new items. Total Wine also has a tasting room that holds special events for their top tier members. We have finally achieved Grand Reserve on the Total Wine loyalty program which provides us free wine tasting events, free classes, free subscription to Wine Spectator and many more. We have done 2 wine tastings around California and Spanish wines and enjoyed both events. Total Wine also carries beers and ciders. I recommend checking out their champagne section and stemwares. I've also purchased chocolates and even prosciutto to pair with Rioja. Overall, convenience is the name of the game and they do a great job of ensuring a one stop shop on all of my visits. read more

This location seems smaller than the other locations that I've been to, but it has one of THE BEST customer experiences I've had at a Total Wine & More! My friend was looking for mini shots for his birthday, and Fred Meyer's selection was minimal, so I suggested that we take a trip down to Total Wine & More instead. We got there yesterday (Friday night) at around 9 PM, and it was reasonably busy. They had a vast selection of singular shots, and my friend was able to find exactly what he was looking for. While looking at the singular shots, I found one that intrigued me, so I wanted to buy it in a bigger volume instead. For the love of me, I can never seem to navigate a Total Wine. Lol. I noticed an employee around the corner and went to ask him for help, but another customer got to him before I did. I decided to turn back into the aisle for a second, and as I was walking around out of the aisle, I noticed the employee headed towards me. I really appreciated how observant he was. He could tell that I needed help before I was even able to ask. He had such an amazing and friendly energy and led me to the alcohol I was looking for. He told me that it was an excellent choice, which excited me since the reviews online were mixed. He even gave me suggestions on what to mix it with. I wish I had gotten his name, but I sadly forgot to. The checkout process was quick and easy. I will definitely return if I'm ever in the area! read more

The space is super clean and all of the staff wear masks. The aisles are nice and wide so it's easier keeping a distance from other customers too. There is a HUGE selection and I love that most of the options have little cards with information about the drink. The only issue is the staff. It was really hard flagging someone down. It's not for a lack of staff either. There was a bunch of staff, but they were constantly doing other things. At one point someone did approach me and I will say he was friendly and helpful. There is no doubt that the staff is knowledgable about the products. I kind of felt like he was in the middle of something though, because he seemed like he was in a bit of a hurry. I'm not sure what was going on, it's not like the place was crawling with people. What I got made up for it, the staff know their stuff and are willing to take your price point into account. My wife and I love this store. We think of this place as an adult candy store. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Underage selling is taken seriously. My daughter just turned 21 and was shopping with a friend who is 20. While checking out, the cashier asked both of the girls for their ID's. Since my daughter's girlfriend was not also 21, my daughter was unable to make her purchase. When my daughter asked if her friend could wait outside while she made her purchase, she was also told no. Inconvenient yes, but rigid for all the right reasons. There is a great variety of mini airplane bottles that are great for sampling new products. They also make fun little gifts during the holiday season. Several snacks and drinking paraphernalia are located throughout the store. A nice selection of mixers can also be found here. Growlers can be filled. Wine sampling is offered. My wife and I both enjoy local sips and slurps so we appreciate the fact that local wares are always showcased at this location. This place can be overwhelming so it's nice to have "staff picks" labels throughout the store to help make decisions. Be prepared to spend some time in here browsing all the fun stuff. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS TREATMENT I had an emergency family trip here in Everett and couldn't find Mango Cart anywhere. One of the items that my family member and I shared together were Margo Carts, but I couldn't find any vendors out here who carried them (besides Total Wine & More). They held great sentimental experiences between us and I was just in the mood for a trip down memory lane. Upon entering, seeing how beautiful Total Wine was. I knew I was going to find it here and we did BUT as we were checking out, we were asked to all show ID's allowed for checkout. Forgot my ID. They said they can't sell us alcohol because I didn't have mine. Supposedly if it's a "group", you have to verify everyone's ID. Okay. Fine. We head back to the car and my girlfriend decides to go back herself to try to grab it... As she was walking in, she hears an employee say "oh look she's coming back"... When she grabbed the mango carts AGAIN to check out AS AN INDIVIDUAL, the manager comes back out and says "Sorry we can't sell you this." My girlfriend says "even if I'm not in a group anymore???" And he responds, "No, you'll have to come back in an hour." I come back in with a PDF file AND EMAIL of the life insurance application I've submitted with it and he says to me, "Sorry I need a physical copy of your ID. If you're to be pulled over, A POLICE OFFICER WOULD NOT ACCEPT IT." I guess police officers can't search your ID number in their database to verify your identity. 10/10 would not recommend coming here from out of town. read more

There are 2 full aisles of "single bottles" where you can grab a variety six-pack... prices range from $1.25-ish to upwards of $15+ a bottle! But variety is the spice of life, and this may be bad news for me and my beer lovin husband! We spent $30 for 6 bottles/cans of beer. Pricey habit, when you're not the "Bud-light" drinkin' type! They also have a full aisle of cases of beer, as well as a KEG selection! This place is ahhhh-mazing!! Their gift section is way cute too... perfect gift ideas for the boozer in your life!!! However, I just got off the phone with the Lynnwood store and I was blown away at the level of disrespect I felt on the phone when speaking with Cherie. I had several questions about ordering kegs for an upcoming event and I felt like I was inconveniencing her. Her tone of voice was rude and she responding in very "short" comments. Has the best rum in the world which is Flor de Caña from Nicaragua. The only bummer is that they don't carry the 18yr rum. Illegally harvesting customer data. They scan your i.d. at checkout even if you look over 40. I can only assume they are selling my personal data including my home address. I've had a lot of new junk mail since they scanned my i.d. total wine should be prosecuted for stealing customer data. There's a lot to like about this place. The selection and prices are both really good, though they don't quite cross over into specialty territory. You're just here to shop, so those two things are all that really matters. It's not that hard to get to; pretty close to the freeway. Decent amount of parking. Plenty of shopping carts, nice clean building. As of this writing, it's newly installed (in existing construction), so everything inside still feels clean and nice. It's relatively easy to find what you need once you're in the right section--the types of wine and the types of liquor are all well curated. Getting from one section to another within the store isn't always the most predictable journey, but that's OK. The place is huge, and you know they want you to zig zag around in here. They're really tough on distributors and producers because they can buy in such bulk. So they don't tend to get a lot of the dearly beloved specialty releases, but they DO get tons and tons of good choices, usually in every format bottle available. And if you're shopping for a wine or spirits geek, you can probably find them something--something good for every day, at least, if not a crown jewel for the cellar or anything like that. Their buying power allows them to set pretty good prices. You will find occasional sales at smaller shops that easily beat prices here, but if you just need to pick up some stuff, this is a fairly practical place to shop for sure. Keep in mind that there's tax added to the sticker price--they show the final amount in smaller print under the "sale" price on the price tags on each shelf. It's a lot of tax, generally speaking, so it's worth keeping in mind. The service here ranges from some helpful and nice kids who can give you straight answers about what's in the store, all the way down to sullen and withdrawn mouth-breathers. One classic goofball got me coming and going last night; he was re-stocking shelves and dragged his warehouse cart past me so slowly that I just had to stand there like I was a car at a railroad crossing. By way of acknowledging my presence, he ducked his head and made a sound like "uuuuurrrrhhhh," which I assume meant "oh, excuse me, I should have let you slip past before I turned down this aisle." Then guess who's at the register? Spivey again, with a pleasant "nnnnrrrrggg" as he handed me my receipt. I assume "nnnnrrrrggg" was his way of saying "thanks for shopping here. They have it all... wine, hard A, beer, big bottles, little bottles, kegs of all sizes, all types of glassware, bartending tools, even a cigar room. We came on a Saturday, it wasn't too busy. We were given free samples of wine and beer, which was nice but the samples were so tiny it was hard to get a good idea of what you were tasting or if it was worth buying. They had an awesome growler filling station, about 5 or 6 different options. We ended up just buying a six pack of something my boyfriend has wanted to try, I didn't really find anything. No NW wine selection at Total and before our evil state taxes were added on , Eagle Rare Bourbon at Total was $3.00 more than at the state run Oregon State Liquor stores! Oregon, ($26.99 out the door) Total Liquor with Washington Tax $39.99! They don't add a sales tax in Oregon Their steep tax is already included. So its downright expensive here at Total! Where is the savings Total is advertising? Corporate greed and corrupt State government have teamed up to get deep in our pockets! read more

Love it! I can pick up the basics at the grocery store, but if I want something special, I know I can get it here. They are the only place I know around here that carries my favorite gin, Death's Door, and I can usually find Darby's Chaos, my go-to red blend. It's also the best place to go for minis, which I use in my boozy desserts. They have a fantastic selection at a variety of price points. It can be tough to find the right aisle sometimes, but if you find an employee, they're great about pointing you in the right direction or finding someone who can. read more

I know I should be supporting the local bottle shops, blah blah blah but hey, this place offers the same rare bottles at cheaper price and the clerks here aren't snobby like at some bottle shops. This store used to be 5 minutes from where I lived so it was convenient as well. They also seem to be always open. I think they open from like 9am to 10pm. When I get the beer craving at 8:30am, I get out of bed, brush my teeth, and head over the Total Wine. They take Amex. Had an odd experience with the old guy that works here. While talking to my wife on the phone trying to choose a wine he rudely tried to interrupt our phone conversation repeatedly. Even though he has seen me buy stuff in the store in the past he then also accused me of coming in just to escape the cold (while I was holding a shopping basket). Wtf?!
