I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Bristol Dental today and the nasty Asian receptionist Carina who made my time here today expensive and miserable. My appointment was scheduled for 11:00 AM, and as I write this, it is after 2:00 PM and I am still waiting. A wait of more than three hours is completely unacceptable, especially when patients arrange transportation, take time off work, and plan their entire day around an appointment. What made the situation even more frustrating was the lack of assistance and communication from the front desk. I previously coordinated transportation with Raymond through the office without issue, but when I asked for help prior to my appointment, I was met with an unhelpful nasty attitude and no effort to assist. I I spend an hundred dollars in uber and a day of work lost because of her. Instead of trying to solve the problem, I felt ignored, dismissed and treated like an inconvenience. Patients deserve respect, clear communication, and basic customer service. Long delays can happen, but sitting in a waiting room for hours with little information and no concern and a ATTITUDE AND NO RESPECT shown for patients' time is not acceptable. I hope management addresses both the excessive wait times and the extremely rude unhelpful and the professionalism of the front office staff, because no patient should EVER be treated like this. I used to come here quite often, and a few years ago when I discovered this place I gave it a 5-star review on Google. I'm going to update and retract my initial review. FIRST THOUGHTS When I first started coming here, the office was female-run. Female doctors and staff are super empathetic and trustworthy! They were so helpful. I had come to this dental office after another dentist (a male no less) was performing a malpractice procedure on my teeth to try and make himself extra money for his business. This was years ago when the economy was rough, and once again, if the economy is rough you can count on dental groups like these to go down hill rapidly! PARKING There is a very small parking lot. It's not paved. It's gravel. If it's full, the streets are big enough to do some street parking. OUTSIDE APPEARANCE From the outside it looks dingy and small, and when I first came here I was nervous because I have history with dentists being unfit to really care for my teeth. I think the orange colors they chose were trying to be welcoming, but it just does the opposite effect. It stands out like a sore thumb and it just looks so out of place in the middle of nowhere! INSIDE APPEARANCE It is a small location, the colors of the walls aren't warm or inviting at all. They just felt like a ticking time bomb. Honestly, my mom has similar paint colors in her house and she was super bored one day when she chose to paint them these colors. That's exactly the feeling I get from the color choices. There aren't many seats available in the waiting room, but I never waited too long to wait to begin with. STAFF The staff in the past were all female run, over time there have been more and more men. The nurses and doctors I got to know, were on their way out not long after. I never was treated by the same doctor more than twice. The females were more gentle, communicative, and understanding. The men are the problems! They want to man handle everything and tell me I have problems with my teeth when I don't. I go to get a second opinion elsewhere, and they don't see anything this place has pulled out of thin air! They definitely are running a shady business! I haven't been back in months because I moved out of state, and time and time again, when the economy isn't doing well, these so-called "professionals" will try to say you need some type of expensive procedure. For me, it's always them mentioning removing my very HEALTHY wisdom teeth. I've had these for over 8 years, no issues. My orthodontist has said my mouth has room for them, and I've never had an issue with them unless a dentist has done something to prod around and give me an issue! And they, and other male dentists before this group, have! Dentists makes around $3000 - $4000 per wisdom tooth extraction, that's a lot of money for a business in a hard economy. So of course they're going to try and trap people who think this is a necessary procedure. It's not. Do your research. Once I go to a new dentist and heal my teeth, low and behold nothing is wrong with them it's just dentists performing malpractice! OVERALL While this dental group WAS amazing in the past, I can't say the same anymore. Thankfully, I've moved out of state. This group just made me fear dentists all over again, and has added to my list of dentist offices who are willing to practice malpractice just to make ends meet in any economy. read more

I got an X-ray, the Chinese dr came in looked at them and as I'm sitting there the guy from the front desk comes around the corner hands me a card and says call these people for yours root canals, how did he even know which was very strange he then stood there as the dr showed me the cavities I needed done and the 4 root canals. I was shocked that I needed all this within 6 months and I knew something wasn't right. They did not want to even clean my Teeth until I called the person on the card and that's was not right, the guy from the from desk called me after that a hand full of times To see if I ever called them, after this I chose to go somewhere else, to find I had no work that needed to be done and they cleaned my teeth. ‼‼ Beware of Bristol Dental Group. ‼‼ They quoted me $1.5k for each extraction that I need. (I need 2.) I was fairly certain extractions were covered by my insurance and their price seemed high, so I got a second opinion at another dental office......where I was informed the procedure would cost $0.00 because extractions are fully covered by my insurance!!! Bristol dental group had my inurance information. I have proof of this because they utilized it for my fillings. I'm realizing I was nearly a victim of insurance fraud. AND the doctor had the audacity to sit across from me and encourage me to get part time job to pay for the work when I told him I couldn't make that financial commitment right now. The new dental office I'm being seen at said they've heard similar things from other patients about that office. read more

I have had bad luck finding a dentist office that takes my insurance that wasn't filled with unpleasant, unsympathetic practitioners who could have possibly been a high ranking officer in a Korean War Camp. After having avoided the dentist, I had to have a root canal done and did not want to go through that at a place where the dentist and staff made me feel uncomfortable. I was just going to have it pulled. But after some research, I found Bristol Dental Group. When I called to see if they were accepting new patients, I knew right away I'd have a much better experience here. Everyone who works here is a super pleasant. I was well informed about everything and given options. They worked with me to make payments to make the root canal more affordable. I didn't need to utilize it but I thought it was pretty awesome that they offer transportation to those who might need it. Bristol dental is outstanding. I called because I was having issues with my teeth and was in pain I called several dental offices and to my amazement the closest appointment that I could get was like a week away I explained that I was in pain and was always told sorry we're booked up ..so I called Bristol dental Anthony answered the phone and I explain to him what my problem was and was it possible to give me an appointment ASAP to my amazement he said can you be here within an hour or so ..you bet I can...I was greeted by Anthony filled out some paperwork very quickly and before I knew it I was in the chair I had X-rays done and was examined by Doctor Shah and it ended up that things are more complicated than I thought Dr. Shah explained to me what the problems were and we got together with Anthony and worked out a plan of attack so to speak.. everything was explained to me in easy understandable professional terms as to what my options of treatment are and I was referred to a local oral surgeon and things are going to be taken care of. I really got the feeling that I wasn't just another number that I was actually dealing with people that were concerned and wanted to make sure that my issues were taken care of I would absolutely recommend Bristol dental for all your dental needs you are absolutely in good hands. read more

Very upset about this place.got a Procedure done that they said I had to get done and pay cash for so I could continue to get my teeth fixed and then my tooth chipped that night and I still could not get it fixed because I had to still pay to get the other side done Everything was a mess for no reason. I understand they want to do everything their way but when you have state insurance and have a hard time affording things being a single mother I don't think cash payments should be forced on anyone. Many people were happy with getting their real teeth pulled out and replaced with false teeth but I do not want this to happen that they push for and am very upset. They tried telling me my tooth breaking off just happened to be a coincidence after I got the pressure done my tooth chipped right after. I called right away and they still wouldn't help my tooth just worried about me coming back for other side Procedure. I was in pain 2 weeks I couldn't go back for 2nd procedure right away even if I wanted to. I was going to until this happen and my tooth that chipped I never had a cavity on of filled so that's not an excuse (they tried to use) I'm upset to say the least. I tried again to go back and they are still going on about this cash payment procedure being needed so if I use this office I have to stay in pain for yrs until I have cash to pay them. Horrible horrible. If u want your real teeth to go missing or be pulled go here for sure. read more

Staff is very friendly, appointment went great, could have better cleaning of floor and counters which is what cost them the star.

I went here for a 6 month cleaning. The person who did my initial X-rays was nice and good at her job. Then the dentist came in to do the cleaning himself (no hygienist). He spent about 20 minutes with me - he brushed my teeth and used a water pick that gave me screeching ringing in the ears and caused me to involuntarily recoil several times. Then another staff person came in to request him in a different room, and he just left. No flossing or fluoride or real plaque removal. When I went to the front to pay, the receptionist told me I need a crown. I was very confused, as the doctor I saw mentioned nothing about a crown or any needed dental work, just said "looks good." She kept insisting that the notes showed I needed a crown. I told her that the doctor should have told me that and no, I didn't want to schedule a crown?! Another receptionist came into the convo and said oh he must mean to watch out for the possibility of needing a crown in the future... the "note" they were referring to was just "crown" scribbled on a piece of paper. I believe they were trying to charge me for an unnecessary procedure. I've never had a crown or filling, and the doctor didn't discuss any of this with me. I will not be going back! read more

I had a terrible experience getting dentures. They offer to pick you up and though the driver seems friendly he is someone who touches yiu while he spews anecdotes about jail and gives you his opinion of women in different professions. He is a nice guy so that wad overlooked by me. I went to the office to get partial dentures. I was told I had a hole in a tooth that needed to be fixed before they could be made. They never fixed that tooth, promisong it would be done on the next visit again and again. Impressions were mase of my mouth and that went ok however once the teeth were made they refused to listen when I tried to tellf them how badly they fit and how much they hurt. I told them I would give them a chance to fix them and that I would call them in a week as soon as I knew my work schedule. I got 1 or 2 calls a day every day after until I finally said I would absolutely not return to the office. I live in a building with several other people who go to that office. Bristol dental gave the teeth to another resident to give to me! I did try them on because I do need them but they fit even worse than before! read more
