They are great to deal with, fast and friendly, and low rates. They beat most of their competitors that I had gotten quotes from and they arrived fast to complete the job. I originally contacted them about getting a new roof and solar using the PACE financing program offered by the State of Florida. A.G.U. told me in writing that the interest rate would be 7.99%, which sounded reasonable. Based on that, I agreed to move forward. When I got the final numbers, the rate had jumped to 12.79%, far higher than what was promised. I told them that was too much and decided to do just the roof and pay cash instead. I ended up paying over $20,000 for the roof alone, which I later found out was very high compared to other estimates I received. Now, even after I've paid in full for the roof, A.G.U. is trying to charge me a $1,000 cancellation fee just because I didn't do the solar. That is completely unfair, especially since their own misleading information about the interest rate is the reason I canceled the solar in the first place. This company's sales tactics are deceptive, their pricing is excessive, and their business practices are unacceptable. Be very careful before signing anything with them. I truly regret doing business with A.G.U. Roofing.

Owner said he'd come out and take a look to see if it could be repaired or replaced.. He sent out a repair guy who said there was "absolutely no reason" to go with the company (who showed up at the same time) and gave a quote on a complete new roof.. he could fix the issue. Since we were in the middle of a remodel, time and money were issues and we decided to go with them and the repair even though a new roof wasn't going to cost that much more. Well, the fix didn't fix the problem and they've been out now a total of 3 times.. Andy the owner came out after call #2 and said that he wouldn't reshingle the roof, but instead put up a much more expensive modified roof on my home because of the pitch.. He was the only roofer to say this, and this is where my feelings towards the company turned sour.. Because if he would have come out to view the house, like he said he would, PRIOR to the repair, during inspection and said this, i could have saved the almost 2k i paid for the repair and instead only paid another 1.5k for a new roof!! He then, after the second leak, said he'd be out personally to completely the 3rd repair on it.. He didn't come out, the same guy who was fixing it originally did.. Nothing against the guy who completed the repairs, but its 2 stars, because had i have been told up front they wouldn't reshingle the roof, or not have been told this would absolutely fix the problem, i would have just went ahead with a new roof from a competing company.. I'm not sure if the repairs have actually taken this time.. but, after a complete remodel of the interior i'm left with a patchy looking roof and a worry every time it rains. Five years later, we contacted Janney Roofing to schedule an inspection, only to be told they no longer provide that service because the salesperson who made that commitment no longer works for the company. Instead, they said they would only come out if the roof needed a full replacement. To me, a company should stand behind the promises made by its representatives, regardless of whether that employee is still there. Customers purchase based on the information they're given, and it's disappointing to hear, years later, that those commitments no longer matter. The roof itself has performed well, but customer service after the sale has been a major letdown. If ongoing inspections are important to you, get every promise in writing before signing a contract. I had a problem within a day or two with a scrape on the wall. I called and ask them to send some out to fix it. It wasn't a good experience after that. I finally got someone to come fix the scrape, but noticed after a week that the seams in the shower turned yellow. I paid over 10,000 for this and I'm nervous to call them to ask what to do because of the experience I had with one of the owners. I'm hoping someone else the same problem and can post what they did or how to correct it. The shower is beautiful except for that one problem.
