Recently used Jasper for an event we hosted and I was very impressed! Martin helped to organize everything beforehand via email. I purchased the alcohol in advance but asked that he brought the mixers for the creative cocktails, which included a cucumber cooler and pomegranate margarita with gran mariner foam. Highly recommend both! Jasper arrived on time, looking very chic in a vest and button. Doesn't hurt that he has a cute British accent too. He got right to work and my guests loved the cocktails! They loved the cocktails so much, that no one drank anything but the cocktails all night! Not one glass of wine. I was shocked. The best part? No clean up for me. Jasper left the bar as neat as he found it. I've recommended their services to a handful of friends and everyone loves them! Their prices are reasonable and the drinks really are fabulous. Martin was the star of the show at my wife's 30th birthday party. Our guests were so impressed they wanted to take a group picture with him! So many times in life we just expect a particular service to provide us with the expected, and we're always amazed when expectations are exceeded. For any great part or event, a bartender is almost a necessity so you can relax and enjoy the company of your guests. It was the details that truly made the difference with Martin and British Bartenders. From the beautiful pop-up bar, to elegant glass bottles and copper jiggers/accessories, to a gorgeous crystal mug holding sesame oil as a garnish on top of all the nice fresh fruit garnishes like mint, ginger, and raspberries, he presentation truly "wowed" us all. We worked through a custom cocktail list he suggested, I picked my 3 of favorites and included one of my own, then I bought the alcohol and ice whilst he prepared the fresh mixers. He showed up an hour before the event helped collect glasses and clean during, and stayed a little after to make sure he left "no trace behind." Everyone was truly impressed with his humble service and of course dazzled by his British accent. My wife and I look forward to booking him again for something as modest as our next house party. If you had to choose between having food catered or a great bartender, go with the bartender. You can always replenish prepared food easily, but not so with drinks. Dara was articulate, funny, and a gentleman- plus he had a brilliant accent!! We huddled before the party, discussed the serving style and components then he rocked the bar until the early morning with a great smile. We have been using British Bartenders for our annual Halloween Parties for the past 4 years. Martin, who is the owner, has always sent us extremely capable and professional bartenders. We have always used the Standard service (only bar tending), although the Mixology Service seems intriguing and something that we may try in the future. British Bartenders really made my party. I threw a small surprise party (about 25 people) at my apartment, and thought having a mixologist would make it really nice. And boy did it exceed my expectations. Martin is a class act. Super professional and friendly and so TALENTED. I am usually so picky with cocktails...especially a few I asked him to make. And he mastered all of them, and made a few of his own specialties that are among the best cocktails I have ever had. They juice their own fruits and vegetables fresh, and it shows. The drinks are such high quality and so perfectly crafted that you will feel proud to serve them at any event. Martin also spent a lot of time before the party going over all the details with me, and even printed up a cute little menu to display for my guests, as I asked. I can't be more impressed by these guys at British Bartenders. They served at my surprise wedding ceremony last weekend and wow - everyone was remarking how charming and excellent they were at mixing drinks. We had many options - Pimms Cup, wine, cocktails and beer . . . they kept the crowd moving and there was never a line! Most importantly, they were two of the nicest gentlemen behind the bar. They planned ahead, they took command, and they were smooth and relaxed while setting up, tending bar, and shutting it all down.
