She washed my hair, then layered in the gloss treatment so every hair was coated! After letting it sit for a bit she washed it out and trimmed up my my layers! The results are great! The pictures of her personal instagram are from these clients, as I unfollowed her weeks ago. I have not been seeking out information, it has been sent to me by scared clients because they're afraid of speaking out on their own. Their fear is understandable, considering the owner's response to this review. Furthermore, I have reorganized my inital review updates below. I will not be updating this review unless more information is sent to me by my fellow former clients. I admit, the review is very long so I understand if it is not read in full. That said, it is important to speak out against harmful misinformation and behavior, even at personal risk. Review Update #1: This is an update on the review I posted almost a month ago regarding Heather's anti-mask and anti-vaxx posts on private and PROFESSIONAL socials. After that review, 3 customers of hers reached out to me and said they were also uncomfortable and wouldn't be going back. Another said that Heather refused to wear a mask during a recent appointment despite being asked to do so. Heather has since doubled down on these posts, saying that people asking for masks are throwing "tantrums" and "chipping away" at businesses. She originally posted that no one had to wear masks (falsely citing HIPAA and the ADA) and now claims she only meant pregnant women don't need to wear masks. Asking people to wear masks is not "ableist" despite her insistence that it is. If you can't wear it, take advantage of the curbside pickup, delivery, or one of the other reasonable accommodations being made available. Spreading misinformation regarding masks (and vaccinations!) is EXTREMELY dangerous and something that actively harms people. I will NEVER support Heather again, I hope that others who read this will join me and the aforementioned others in leaving. She clearly doesn't care about her clients. She has a story section dedicated to anti-vaxx falsehoods, regularly rants about masks on her story, and complains on FB about being "discriminated against" for not wearing a mask (where she's friends with many clients) Review Update #2: Heather keeps falsely claiming it's ableist to request people wear masks in businesses but is now posting horribly ableist things about an autism "cure" needing to be given the same attention as COVID-19 treatment because, apparently, autism is the same as a deadly virus with life altering effects on survivors? Lucky for me I came across this awesome salon with and even more awesomer (if that could be a word) hair dresser!! Jennifer was so nice, professional, easy going with most amazing color skills. I had a super ugly and faded balayage , my ends were hay-like dried and my hair was in such need of attention. Jennifer cleaned me up, applied a super awesome color on my mane and cleaned up my ends ever so nicely!! Originally I had asked to "just chop it all off!" It was expensive and the hair was not cut or blended at all and it was very obvious my hair and the extensions didn't match. The other salon opted to not help me or refund me. Enter, Hair by Jenna. Not only is she quick to respond, sweet helpful and easy to communicate with. But, she is a color ARTIST! She truly took the time to fix my hair by doing color adjustments on both the extensions and my hair after lightening it (the extensions were quite a bit lighter than my hair.
