Omg what can I say about this place!?! As a military wife finding a hair dresser EVERY time I move is a nightmare. Lucky for me I came across this awesome salon with and even more awesomer (if that could be a word) hair dresser!! Jennifer was so nice, professional, easy going with most amazing color skills. I had a super ugly and faded balayage , my ends were hay-like dried and my hair was in such need of attention. Jennifer cleaned me up, applied a super awesome color on my mane and cleaned up my ends ever so nicely!! Originally I had asked to "just chop it all off!" She asked if I really wanted to cut my hair that short and of course the answer was no but I just didnt think my hair could be brought back to life. Well ... she worked wonders!! She didn't have to chop all of my hair off, she professionally gave it the attention it needed, and now I feel like my s***t dont stink and just want to flip my hair back and forth!! Jennifer @ Shenanigans is a miracle worker when it comes to color! I moved here in 2016 and trying to find a good stylist is quite a mission. I followed her work on social media for a while and finally made an appointment. She did not disappoint! Here i am in 2019 and she is still my girl! I have ALOT of hair- it's long, thick and unruly with curls. I tell her what color I'm trying to accomplish and she nails it every time. In fact, it comes out better than the pictures I show her. My hair looks beautiful and polished every time I leave there. I won't trust anyone else to touch my hair! read more

I have been going to see Jennifer for 17 years now. I've seen other stylists off an on throughout the years in the times I was out of town etc... but nobody comes close to the magic Jennifer can work with your hair. She is a master colorist and I have never felt comfortable telling another stylist they were free to expirement or do whatever they wanted with my hair. I have never been disappointed with my outcome whenever I leave. Her prices are affordable and she does her best to squeeze anyone in. You wont be dissapointed. read more

Originally created a yelp account so I could put a crappy business on blast but I love my nail tech so much I had to sing her praises. Here we go: since the first time I had my nails done by Lauren, I haven't gone to anyone else. She is a creative genius, through and through. I hardly give Lauren any direction and she runs wild with beautiful and festive creations for both acrylics and gels. It just doesn't get any better. I was referred to Jennifer Anderson at Shenanigans at the Salon a couple years ago and am so grateful to that friend!! Jennifer never disappoints! My hair consistently looks awesome even when I style it at home (which, let's face it, is even more important than walking out of the salon looking great!) I stopped coloring my hair a couple years ago and never feel pressured to get color services, although seeing the great results my sister and mother both get from Jennifer's color guru skills makes me consider it often! After weeks of researching different salons and stylists, I chose Jennifer because of the reviews raving how amazing she is with color. I needed a color correction to rid me of "stripes" in my hair. Going from all black to a black and red ombre resulted in less than desirable results with blackish red and bright red stripes rather than a smooth transition from black to red. In addition to the color correction I also needed a Brazilian Blowout. Hours later, I STILL had the stripes in my hair. The color is gorgeous and it has resisted washing out even after ocean and sun time, which alone is pretty damn amazing there, but the stripes are still there. Also, there were a couple steps left out of the Brazilian Blowout. Didn't do the final rinse, mask, blow dry and flat iron. So I had chemicals in my hair for about 4 days (yes 4) as I resisted to wash my freshly dyed hair. The thing I struggled with the most was not consulting me before cutting my hair; how much to take off or if there was a certain style I was going after. I did mention while doing the color that I wanted very very little taken off when we do get to that point. She ended up taking off 2+ inches which is HUGE for me. I was heading out on a big vacation and was counting on my hair being long so I could wash and wear and the weight would aid in keeping it smoother. The cut was choppy around my face and just straight across on the bottom. Had no real style or shape so I went to my regular girl to kind of spruce it up before my trip (even shorter hair now). My hair feels softer but, that was not my goal. I've had my hair horribly damaged before and got it back to healthy as a slow process, which is what works for me. Usually I leave the salon feeling gorgeous and wishing I had somewhere to go, but not this time.. Overall, the color and staying power of the color was awesome. The color correction not working, the haircut, and steps missing from the Brazilian ultimately brought my rating down. read more

I'm writing this review for anyone who does not like razor scissors used on their hair. When Jennifer started using them on the back of my head I asked if she was using a razor and that I really don't like it on my hair. She ignored me and went on about how she does this just on the bottom underneath and it will be fine. I got home and wasn't very happy with how bulky my hair was in the back. I showed her pictures of beachy layers, but I got a bulky blunt cut in the back with way too much fullness from the razor. My hair is very fine but I have a lot of it and it does better with traditional textured layers using regular scissors. I ended up spending my morning adding texture via a point cut to remove some of the bulk. A friend reminded me when I was talking to her about it that you get what you pay for. In this case I got a $25 hair cut. It's not terrible, but shorter and WAY bulkier than I wanted. read more
