Terrible experience at Jess salon hairstylist Dakota came in for a Balayage paid $300 and here are the results. I wanted the red gone more blonde tones I wanted depth. Balayage?? Far from it! Instead I was left with chunks of grays and red tones reappeared after a couple of washes Spoke with the manager Lindsay who said they couldn't do anything because it had been a month since my appointment well I got covid a week after my app so the last thing on my mind was my hair. She wouldn't take into consideration the fact that I was sick no compassion she kept repeating there is nothing we can do it's been a month. Even though I sent her pictures via text of my hair the day after with all the uncovered gray and red tones.. I saw Mackenzie and her assistant Kendra for a chop & full highlight service. I wanted to go lighter with my blonde, and they worked their magic on me! They were both professional and answered any questions I had related to hair care. I had a great time getting to know them as they spent a lot of time giving me beautiful hair! With the reviews and before & after photos I thought I would be in great hands for a cut and color. Unfortunately that was not the case. This is the worst haircut and color job I have ever had in my life. My hair is completely over processed and damaged. The overall texture has completely changed. The color lasted 1 wash then was completely yellow. I am so EMBARRASSED by it that I've just been wearing my hair in a bun the entire time. Every time I put my hair down I want to cry. The girl who did my hair seemed really sweet but very young and inexperienced. This is now how my hair hair dries, and you can also see the extremely uneven cut and horrible dry job. I was in desperate need of a color change and gray coverage. Hailey R. Did not disappoint, from initial contact to the end of the appointment! She took the time to ask what I wanted, every step of the way, and offered her advice when I wasn't sure how to answer. The results turned out amazing!! The salon itself is beautiful and they have snacks and drinks for you while you are there. The washing station is super comfortable and the water pressure is amazing. Haha. I debated whether or not to write this review, but I think it's important for others to know when making a decision to visit a salon during times of COVID risk. While I had a good experience here and was more than happy with my hair, the only people in the salon wearing face masks were myself, my stylist (she put one on after she saw me wearing one), and the woman who does injectables. This is a large salon so there were at least 5 other stylists here with their clients, all without masks. I understand masks are uncomfortable to wear for long periods are time, but they are mandated for businesses like this, and other businesses do not seem to have a problem following the rules. I think this is a blatant disregard for guest and employee safety. It's unfortunate and disappointing because I would have loved to come back here, but I just don't feel comfortable. It also makes me question their safety standards in other areas and overall. I've been watching their Instagram stories since my visit and you can see people are still not wearing face coverings, even though our country is seeing all-time-high daily infection rates. read more

As I made this appointment I was uninformed of pricing. Sarah was pretty good, hair is a little too dark up top but overall looks good. After services she quietly says, by the way services on an all over color is $275 & $50 for 2 inches cut off. A partial gray coverage is $170/$190. I was shocked to hear that. She does an amazing job w blondes, well frankly any color, but I happen to be blonde;) The grow out is so good, that if I have to skip an appt. or two, my color still looks fantastic! I cannot say enough good things about Jess Salon. I moved to the area about a year ago and tried out another salon, but they weren't comfortable with dying my hair brown. It was a salon that specialized more in blondes. Doesn't matter if I'm in the mood for lighter or darker hair, Dakota Sage gets what I'm going for and kills it every time! I finally found somewhere in the valley that is AMAZING at what they do! After bouncing around, trying to find a good stylist I found Dakota S. At Jess Salon and MY LIFE IS CHANGED . I finally found someone who knows what they are doing. I made the mistake of dying my hair with henna last year and as I was going lighter it turned green-- Dakota kept it together and rolled with the punches and my hair ended up beautiful! She is extremely knowledgeable, sets expectations properly, and is so personable! I have also been impressed with other stylists I have seen as I have been in there. I have been to Jess Salon 3 times with 2 different "Master Stylists" - paid over $300 each visit for highlights and a professional cut. This is not the place for you if you want an actual haircut. If you have long, beautiful hair that needs a trim and a blow out - great place for that, but if you need an actual "hairstyle" - you wont find it here. Seems like their team needs to go to a haircutting training refresher. Lots of young hairstylists and clients as well, I am in my late 40's and I wanted a blunt bob - just got ends cut, no texturizing of ends, no art to the cut just a straight cut across the bottom. Needless to say 1 week later and my hair is a giant puff ball. My color is also awful, I get blond highlights, came out with gray and brown hair - not sure what I paid for? read more

Probably the worst customer service experience ever. There is no one single person to book appointments through so basically you have to find all their stylists and then DM them through Social Media until you find one of them who is taking new clients. And good luck getting them to return a message promptly - expect the process to take a week to 10 days just to find out they are 5 weeks out. The owner is the worst. I am the first to step up and support a small, local owned business but stay far away from here. Advice to owner and stylists-hire someone to greet customers, book appointments, and make clients feel like you really want them instead of making them feel like they are in your way of your next IG post. read more
