I knew it would cost money for any kind of disposal of this large TV. So I contacted the business by email and arrangements were made to pick up the TV within a week. A price was given for the disposal of the TV. It was higher than any other form of disposal. They were very quick with taking the item and completed the task when stated. But, here is the thing- they came and picked it up. I had to do no work. Other forms of disposal I would have to bring to a location. So here is the thing, they recycle a lot of stuff. Hamilton residents are able to get free mulch and compost (while supplies are available and last) at this no-nonsense facility. Drive in, and show your ID, and pull up to the giant mound and load up. That's all there is to it. I brought in a few empty cat litter buckets to fill with mulch, and now my garden beds look nice. I saw some folks with much larger garbage cans, and a few people with landscape bags -- it's all about what you can carry and load. The hours aren't great -- I think they close mid-day during the week, with one long day, Wednesdays, until 5:30, I believe. I don't think they have weekend hours. They moved only half of my belongings, then told me they wouldn't move the rest unless I paid the inflated amount immediately. This felt like outright blackmail during a stressful move. They said the crew spent 14 hours, while the crew came at 9:30AM and left 10PM and two hours was spent in me arguing with their manager on phone about the payment while the crew sat doing nothing. They could have fit all the stuff that needs to be moved in one trip but moved it in two trips taking more time and so that they have leverage to force me into paying to complete the move. The behavior was unprofessional, manipulative, and completely contrary to what was promised. I would strongly advise anyone considering this company to stay far away.
