Joe did the opposite -- he was incredibly kind and understanding and let me know that he could come right over. Within half an hour, he had come over and hauled my new sofa safely upstairs, making sure not to scratch the floors or damage anything in the new place, which was a level of care and precision I definitely haven't seen with other heavy lifting professionals. By the time he left, it started pouring heavily. He basically saved my new sofa from becoming a dirty rainwater mildew factory! The big junk companies I had contacted as I was dialing down the list all tried to make this job needlessly complex -- no same-day, $400 minimum, 2-hr minimum, etc. Joe, on the other hand, just asked what needed to be hauled and how he can help.
