This whimsical cafe is the perfect place to stop for some afternoon tea and to get some work done…read more They have free wifi, an array of hot beverages and sweet treats. The inside is decorated like a fairy tale and is a marriage of Harry Potter and Alice in Wonderland. Definitely worth stoping by !!

The place is cute, I'll give it that, and the Chocolate Tea is amazing! Cute plate ware and themed place... but that's where it stops! Cons: The food is bland in taste. What the call pancakes are not even close. They use coriander leaves as a garnish (and I'm allergic) but nowhere on the menu does it say they use it! They had a €3,99 side dish of eggs on a baguette and honestly that was the only normal tasting item. The carrot cake SUCKS! I'm from Los Angeles, I've eaten more then my fair share... there are a few perfect places to get a good slice but those are listed in my reviews. How this place has four stars? I'm G-dsmacked !!! Oh if you need to use the restroom, on the door that actually locks, the moment you're in there to do your business, the lights turn out! Once you get the lights back on, Surprise!! There's nothing to dry your hands with! Clearly this place will lure people in for its cuteness, I'll give it that. Thank G-D we were close to our hotel, as I had to come back just to get sick! I paid €40 for THE VERY WORST BREAKFAST OF MY LIFE!!!!!!

We decided to come to this local restaurant due to the reviews I saw on here. This is a small…read morerestaurant and we manage to get a table even though we did not have a reservation. We ordered the croquettes and burrata. The croquettes were nicely crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The burrata was fresh and came with tomato, olives, and some arugula. For the main dishes we both had steak. I went with the sirloin and my friend went with the skirt steak. Both were cooked perfectly and tender. The servers spoke English which greatly helped with the wonderful experience we had for dinner. The meal was decently priced.

Meat heaven. This…read moretiny, tiny restaurant packs in the locals. As I sat down, another guy who worked nearby grabbed a seat at the next table and declared that this was some of the best steak in Barcelona. He even said he'd buy meat raw from this place and take it home to cook it. Hell of a recommendation. I ordered the solomillo (sirloin) "poco hecho," which I guess is supposed to be medium rare. The steak was more raw than that, but I didn't care. It was tender and juicy and flavorful. The salt on my platter provided a little extra punch whenever I needed it. The steak came with half a potato, but, unaware of that, I also ordered patatas bravas. Really not the best patatas bravas I've had in Spain, but it's easy to forgive that. The local I spoke to said he recommended the lomo alto, so I'll try that next time. If you want a killer high-quality steak prepared with love, you can get it at La Tavernícola. And as a bonus, it came out quite fast. I'll be back.
