The top broke in half within the first two days, we went back in. They put some glue on it and it broke again. We had to use our old top that didn't match the bottom but just so we had something. After 9 months we got the permanent bottom and supposedly the permanent top, reinforced so it wouldn't break so easily. when we shine a light through the top denture you can see the old crack. They use the old temporary denture with the new bottom. When we asked them about it they said they would fix it if it breaks. don't go with these guys, find someone else.

I'm sure within signed docs when getting services, they have sections that allow for this type of situation, so it is likely irrelevant to question the legalities. - I went in over a year ago for a checkup after having tooth aches and being referred by my insurance provider to make sure I was covered. - I had an appointment for a dental cleaning at a later date but called and let them know my wife just received the results of a positive covid test, so I was under quarantine. My memory is not great from that long ago, but I believe it was the day before the appointment. They agreed I should not come to their office - Over a year later I received a phone call from a collection agency saying I have an unpaid balance due over $100+. I advised this is my first-time hearing of this. I had a checkup last year and had insurance, so I was unaware of any bills due. It turns out they had my old apartment address (without the apartment number) that I was still in for a few months after having the checkup before moving to a house. I told the collector I'd like to get the billing info from the dental office and don't feel comfortable discussing this on a call that came in without me being able to confirm the source - I went into the dental office, the person at the front desk told me multiple times if the collection agency has the file, then she will not give my any info or have any discussions with me. She was very polite about it though and gave me the phone number to the collection agency so I can call them directly - - I called and was able to get a copy of the invoice emailed (they already had my email address), but I made it clear to the collector, and the dental office, that they have my insurance info, my prior address, my phone number, and my email address so there is no excuse for the lack of contact for this long. The collector said they did not get any returned mail, I let them know a lot of people don't usually return mail that isn't theirs, they throw it away. That doesn't excuse there was plenty of ways to still get ahold of me prior to this level of escalation. - - I found in the billing the amount they charged for services was not fully paid by insurance. So there was a remaining balance after insurance paying for the visit, there was also a fee for the canceled appointment due to covid that I was not expecting, and there were additional finance charges likely due to them sending it to collections. I paid the bill and again, am not even disputing the validity. My issue with this was the lack of effort to contact me about any charges back when I still had the opportunity to discuss things with my insurance and resolve the debt. I don't believe there was any ill intent by anyone, just poor process.

After paying off the balance, they will send additional bills in the mail adding extra fees which were never discussed or included in the original quotes they have their patients sign before starting any work. When dental insurance pays more than the estimate, they won't return the extra money they collected or even apply it to future work. Even taking in the insurance EOBs (showing the insurance paid hundreds more then their estimate), they keep the extra money. Also, if THEY cancel your appt within 48 hours before the appt time, THEY CHARGE THE PATIENT a cancellation fee. Very dishonest way to conduct business.

Despite having active Delta Dental coverage, I was charged $39 out-of-pocket for a regional block anesthesia because, according to the office, my insurance "denied it." After personally contacting Delta Dental, they confirmed the charge should not have been applied and even contacted the dental office on my behalf. This indicates a troubling pattern of unbundling services in a way that bypasses insurance coverage. Additionally, they will try to get you to use "better quality materials" that is not covered by insurance--something not clearly explained upfront unless you ask them and to remove it they add it on and only remove if you read the paper and ask them about it (e.g Nano-Hybrid Composite). When I questioned the charges, the office threatened to send the unpaid balance to collections, citing "Utah law" as the reason patients are responsible for all uncovered portions and said they could work a "payment plan" as to balm their charge as if they are helping you instead of correcting the error. This practice also uses high-end x-ray machines and frequently performs excessive imaging, which appears more designed to increase billing than improve patient care. These unnecessary x-rays result in inflated costs to the insurance. In total, I paid $209 out-of-pocket for a routine cleaning and the removal of a single wisdom tooth (that's with having Delta Dental insurance coverage )--despite Delta Dental confirming my total out-of-pocket cost for everything should have been only $170 (So, I basically paid $39 extra (reg. block anesthesia | something I should have not been charged for - unbundling). This discrepancy raises concerns about whether this is a case of unethical billing practices or a lack of proper understanding of insurance protocols. I lean more towards unethical billing practices because this Dental Office has done it to other folks as-well, I understand mistakes, but it's happened what seems like a lot to other folks as well based on the low-star reviews, now me included. Based on my experience with billing here--and similar reports from other patients--I recommend seeking care from a dental provider that prioritizes transparent billing, ethical practices, and patient trust.
