I've taken my dog to Broadway Pampered Pets twice, and I've been very happy with them both times. My dog is not the easiest dog to handle, but they seem to be able to manage him fine. When you make an appointment, they do actually groom your dog at the scheduled time. They call you as soon as they are done, so the dog is only there for the time that he is being groomed. I've never liked the places where you bring your dog in at 8 am and then you get a call for pick up at around 5 or 6 pm, because you know that the dog has spent most of the day sitting in a cage. Another thing that I liked was that they wrote down the instructions I gave them for the first appointment, and they did review their notes for the second appointment and knew exactly what I wanted done. I didn't have to go through the whole spiel again. I was so happy to find a good groomer so quickly after moving here. It can sometimes be a long and tedious process until you find the right place. My parents have been taking their dogs here since they moved to Boise 6 years ago with no huge issues. So when I got my teacup yorkie I decided to take him here as well. I then recommended this place to a friend who also has a teacup yorkie. I was upset in learning that she was charged less for the same cut and services than I was. Also I am not a fan of the new groomer. I liked how the previous groomer cut my yorkie's hair. The new groomer did not cut it as I had asked so I had to show a picture of what I wanted the second time. It was shorter than the photo but better than the first time. Due to this and the fact that I was charged differently for the same cut, dog breed, and size I'm not sure I will return. Other than that the staff has always been friendly and do their best to return your voicemail as soon as possible. They typically have a flexible schedule that works for me. read more

This place is a joke.. Run down dump, filthy!! I took my dog here on a Saturday at the scheduled time I arranged over the phone. 2 hours later groomer called to tell me that they did not have enough time to finish. I went and picked him up frustrated. They asked if I could bring him back on Monday. I scheduled a time during my lunch hour from work. After leaving work picking up dog at home driving to groomer only to find the doors locked, banged on door, phoned 4 x s with no answer. There was another dog on the grooming table clearly someone was there. You have to wonder about a business that doesn't have a website. Extremely disappointed not even a call back. Good cut, decent price. Nice lady. Does not take credit card, which sucks, but that's fine if I can remember. Only reasons I tried another place, and gave this place 4 stars instead of 5 was due to cleanliness and location. I was a little nervous about getting my dog out of the car with traffic on broadway. Another note... the lady took her out to pee and had fresh water for her. We will visit again. read more

I've tried a lot of groomers in Boise and have settled on Broadway Pampered Pets. The new owners are kind and listen exceptionally well to our specifications. Other groomers have gotten water in the dogs' ears which always gives them an infection, but when we told Broadway Pampered Pets this they made notes in their files and took care to be extra careful. This is the first and only groomer where my dogs aren't terrified when I pull up to the door. They are excited to go in, they aren't kept in cages too long, and always look SO GREAT! read more

This is the most fun loving and great atmosphere! It is family run and the women who run the shop are big dog lovers. My westie hates going to the groomer, but when we arrived here we were greeted by big smiles and my dog was doted on and allowed to roam free in the little doggey salon. Imagine my surprise when i pick her up a couple hours later and she is smiling big, having pictures taken and a cute little halloween scarf on her. The girls post the pics of the dogs on facebook with their name and a little something about them, the whole experience is a great one! The price was fantastic and i will not take my dog anywhere else to get groomed. This place is special, Id give it more stars if I could! read more

First time I've ever had a pup that required grooming. I researched all the boise groomers via yelp, and broadway pampered pets had the best reviews. Yes, I agree, it is a dump. It's a business in an old building on one of th original streets in boise. I wasn't too keen on the small entry/drop off area as it made it awkward to come in while another pet owner was dropping their pet off. I wasn't impressed with their small area next to the business where I could take the pup to relieve herself before going in. The grass was long, and weedy. BUT!!! They took great care of my pup. She was a rescue dog that had never been to a professional groomer for an actual cut (she had just been shaved prior to that). They didn't charge me for the teeth brushing. She looked BEAUTIFUL! and was happy and relaxed when I came to pick her up. It took about an half hour longer than originally quoted. They might consider scheduling appointements better so the dogs can get in on time. I will be a return customer. Oh, and the price was fantastic compared to Petco or even Doggie D'tails. read more

I was pretty worried because my (senior) puppy has recently gone completely blind and is pretty scared about it, which causes her to nip and growl more than usual. She needed a haircut though. When I picked her up she seemed happy and calm. I think they gave her wonderful attention and care. They did what they could to get a Westie cut even though she was pretty matted. I was impressed all the way through and the price was extremely reasonable with a flea bath added in (they found one small one, eek!) I highly recommend this place. read more

Let me say the first time we used Pampered Pets, it was great. They had her done in under an hour and the cut looked great. This second time around, not so much. If you will not be home all day and don't mind your dog being stuck at the groomers all day then this may be your place. I dropped my dog off at 1:30 and was told 3 to 4 hours which was already a bit alarming since it took less than an hour last time. Not only was the time frame alarming, but the fact that there was one groomer in there with four dogs to groom. I should have walked out at that point with pup in tow, but wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. I called at three hours in and I was told they just got done washing her and she was next in line to groom. It would be another hour. I drove over at 5:30 and not a single hair on my dogs body had been groomed after four hours. At that point I told the lady I wanted my dog as I was not going to keep my good at the groomers until 7:00 because she still needed at least another hour to cut her. I was not charged for the bath and was told to bring her back in during the week and she would be cut at free. I understand that things happen and people get busy, but don't take on more dogs than you know you can handle by yourself if you are the only groomer there. Update your customers on what is going on if it is going to take well over the time frame you told them. Don't ask people to bring in their dogs 2 hours before they are even going to be worked on. I will not be returning for the free cut, I will change back to driving 45 minutes for a groom as I know this place takes one dog per time slot and has them done in two hours. Yes, I pay a lot more, but it looks as if you get what you pay for. If Pampered Pets gets more groomers on hand then it may be a totally different experience for other people, but one groomer to four dogs is not okay. Especially when one is nippy and going after my dog. read more
